No no no no. He didn't even know who Thicketpaw was, except for his name! What should he do? Politely decline? Firmly say no? Ignore him? Cheetahpaw looked to Specklekit helplessly.

She says cheerfully and starts padding backtothe nursery.

The young she's tail curled around to her side, and around her right back leg. She was petrified for some reason and as Snailswirl moved in front of her, she could almost feel herself sink inside. Slowly shrinking on the outside too, she flinched as they put their tail on her, she had no choice but to follow. With a stiff step, she walked beside Snailswirl to the nest. She hesitantly got into after being given a small nudge. She went into it thinking she didn't have much of a choice and crouched down nervously. She wasn't about to lay down fully. She usually never did and always had a way to get up quickly if things went south. It was instinct, the usual for her when living as a kit with a mother that hated you. Told you you were a mistake and pitiful. That you were a pain in the ass to her and she named you Scrapkit.
Windpaw watched as the two medicine cats chatted about some herb she sure wasn't going to eat.

The poor, trembling apprentice hadn’t said a word. They weren’t sure if it was best for her to sleep right now. "Uh, just one. Enough to help some pain." They spoke the last words louder, hopefully enough so Windpaw could hear it. Either she’d had an awful previous experience in the medicine den, or... she was just fearful. Or untrusting. Which Snailswirl didn’t take much offense to. It wasn’t usually a personal thing, some cats just had a terrible upbringing. "Unless... do you think you want it, Windpaw? It’s just a little poppy seed, and all it’ll do is help those wounds of yours. Get rid of that pain. It might make you a little sleepy, though." She seemed like the kind of cat that would want to know what they’re eating. Windpaw would certainly benefit from a poppy seed or two, those wounds looked nasty. "If you want, I can even eat one with you. Won’t do much for me, but I could use a nap, I suppose." they chuckled, smiling.

Coldamber took no offense to Windpaw's fear, which she first noted when she approached, which almost seemed directed at her.
She grabbed one seed, kept carefully in the leaf wrapping and brought in back to Snailswirl and padded away to keep an eye, but made herself look busy.
This one was tricky and needed to be handled with care and she wasn't going to truly leave Snailswirl to Windpaw.....
Who hurt her?
