Creekkit walked around the clearing until he noticed another kit "Hey! You! Loser! What are you doing!?"

Mintkit flipped back rightside up, looking at the newcomer with wide eyes. Loser? She thought, baffled. Why was this kit calling her a loser? And why does he want to know what she's doing if she's a loser? "Am I a loser?" she asked, genuinely confused. Does her being a loser even mean anything? Does that make her bad? She's not bad. At least, she thinks she isn't... Who is this kit, anyways?

Creekkit stared at the other kit "YES. you're a loser! ONLY a LOSER would ask something like that!" He sneered. 'WHAT AN IDIOT!' he thought and laughed to himself.

''That's enough, Creekkit.''

Primroseadder's stern voice sounded from behind the two kits as the warrior approached, her emerald eyes narrowed down to slits. They flicked over to Mintkit. ''Don't listen ta 'im, Mintkit. You're not a loser; you're a very valued member of RiverClan.''

Her ears flattened, fixing her gaze back on Creekkit. ''Goin' 'round 'n callin' other cats---especially kits---losers ain't goin' ta cut it, 'n don't say that you're sorry, 'cause 'sorry' fills no bellies,'' Primroseadder growled, sitting back and wrapping her tail around her paws. ''I want an explanation, 'n I want a proper one right now. Ya better have a good reason, Creekkit, or 'm goin' ta be callin' Sunheart over.''

The deputy marched up to Creekkit, eyes smoldering with disappointment. "Excuse me, Creekkit?" He growled, stepping in between him and Mintkit. "Mintkit is your Clanmate and you will treat her with respect."

Sunheart glanced at Primroseadder, but waved her away with his tail. "This is not the first time. I will handle this- thank you." He fixed his glare back on Creekkit. "Well? What do you have to say for yourself? I
should confined you to the nursery and delay your apprentice ceremony when the time comes for this. Apologize."

Creekkit looked at each warrior and glared, then he said "I was just kidding! I wasn't serious" "RIGHT?" he said with a look at Mintkit as he smiled and said "I was just joking!".

Mintkit flinched at Creekkit's tone. Did that mean she was bad? She opened her mouth to respond, when not one but two warriors approached them. And one of them was the deputy!! She looked at him in wonder for a moment before focusing back to the situation. "O-oh," Mintkit stammered. She wasn't a loser now? Her paws fidgeted a little nervously. He's gonna get... punished?! Her brain was still processing this when Creekkit suddenly said that he was kidding. He was? She didn't get it. "U-uh-- I d-don't know?" she managed to respond.

At Mintkit's reaction, the deputy's look grew even more stern. "It doesn't seem she knows that, does it?" His voice was icy; eyes narrowed to slits. "Apologize to Mintkit. Now." It was clear Sunheart was leaving no room for argument. "Unless you feel the life of a kittypet would fit you better? They have no one to fight for, and no one to fight for them. You would do well to learn that." He warned. Not that Sunheart would like to exile a kit of all cats, but if it was going to be a hinderance to the Clan and downright disrespectful to their Clanmates- how could they trust them to look after their own in the future?
