Annoyance pulsed into her paws, but as she stepped back, a weight slammed into her stomach. Damn Lynxyowl again. "What the hell?" She spat, lifting her bloody head to glare at the warrior. She was trying to attack Heatherwhisker, and then this jerk came back. Reaching out she tried to shove the warrior away with a hiss of anger, trying to catch her breath.
Oh, bite me, Nightie.
Shooting Nightspark a deadly stare as he ordered her around, she curled her lip in the toms direction. It seemed that he and Pebblesplash were on a power trip, from what he heard. Pebblesplash talking about how they were her warriors and how she somehow gained the magical ability to punish them without Beanstars intervention (or at least that's what she got through her concussed haze) and she ignored all of the angry authorities that were here. Because she had bigger things to worry about.
Like Kestrelpaw. Limping over slowly, determined not to let her paws shake even though her head hurt so badly she felt like collapsing (that damn concussion) and her ear dripped with blood. Stumbling over to the elder apprentice, the large tabby ducked her head in concern. "You good?" She murmured, gingerly staunching her bloodied chest with a quivering ginger paw. Yeah, she was definitely going to request training after this. Most definitely. But she had to make sure Lilycreeks family (her real family, not some angry orphaned family reject that followed Lilycreek around- Like me) was going to be okay. And as insecure Pebblesplash made her feel, and as annoying as the pretty molly was with her acting like the leader, Briarpaw had almost full faith that the sweet lady would work her magic and calm everyone down.
Kestrelpaw was pretty sure the world wasn't supposed be to spinning. Ooh, stars that hurt. The blood running into her closed eye made her uncomfortable, but resisted the urge to wipe it away with her paw. Her eye itself was stinging; she didn't want to touch it. It burned and ached and screeched in agony all at the same time. Ugh.
She saw Briarpaw move over to her, and she grunted in response. "Lil bit woooozy. But good enough." She eyed the younger apprentice, sucking in a breath. She looked as bad as Kestrelpaw felt. "You okay? If you're gonna pass out, I'm not explaining to your mom what happened," her words began to slur a little. Briarpaw's mother... that was... Lilycreek. Right? Or was it someone else? Probably nottt, the two mollies were lookalikes...
She didn't say anything else, her head beginning to throb. Okay, geez. Holy crap. Hed head spun, black spots dotting her vision. Another cat came up to them, one she vaguely recognized. She knew his name right? Snow-whatevergaflibbit. Bird something.
Birdpaw. Her heart ached for a moment, and as the new warrior (Snowsomething) cleaned her head, she slumped forward a little, muttering thanks under her breath. [ @tulin ] She suppressed a sigh. Birdpaw. She wanted Birdpaw. And a hug. Preferably both, which was almost guarantee. Geez, she must looked like crap. Smushed, flattened crud covered in dirt. Did she want to hug Birdpaw with dirt all over her pelt? Probably notttt... definitely not.
"God damn it- don't you go repeating that word to anyone Briarpaw," she added just in case. "Aunt Lily hears from any one of us that I said a swear in front of you and she'll kill me... though I do guess out here is okay..." And so, she reeled over an extra long and choicy list of words that would get her bapped. [ @jupiter - kes' a little out of it at the moment lol ]
Okay, so it sounded like this was more or less WindClan's fault, or rather Heathrwhisker's fault, and her clanmates stupidly followed after the idiot. Honestly, as Heatherwhisker began snarling nonsense to her and then continued to attack RiverClan directly disobeying her, she could see how this was his fault. Fallownose was quickly stressed out and quite frankly rather impolite to the one RiverClanner, Pebblesplash, who seemed to be making an effort to talk to them.
It might be a good idea to start throwing Fallownose into more situations like this cause he seemed to like to react with anger when troubled. It reminded her of Dawnstar and falling back on anger when troubled was concerning. He should learn how to manage that now rather than when Twilightstar's not around anymore. As Fallownose quickly went to go and haul the culprit back over to their side of the border, Twilightstar huffs out a breath and barely keeps her eye from rolling when a gray RiverClanner began growling at her yet it didn't seem that they had any idea who she was.
One by one the battles stopped until finally, it seemed like everyone was still. Another RiverClanner, this time an apprentice, pretty much repeated what Pebblesplash said, mostly that again it was all WindClan's fault. Then there was Heatherwhisker just making a worse mess of everything.
"Heatherwhisker, enough." Twilightstar hissed as she spun around to glare at the warrior. "I remember telling every cat to inform me of what's going on around the borders. Yet you're so certain that you saw RiverClan stealing prey and you just decided not to say a word about it to anyone until now?" Twilightstar didn't recall getting any report or hearing any cat say anything about RiverClan stealing prey. The only excuse here was that Fallownose was informed and he just failed to let her know, but she doubted that was it.
It was quite an accusation that made little sense to her at the moment. "And then as if to make matters worse, not only do you not say anything, you decide to be a complete dumbass and attack the first RiverClan patrol you see, ignore my direct order, and now you're throwing a temper tantrum." This was stupid! So so stupid and ridiculous. No matter how you looked at it anyone with common sense and two brain cells could that Heatherwhisker was in the wrong.
So why the hell hadn't the rest of the WindClan patrol seen it? Were they just itching for a fight so badly that they'd follow the first moronic WindClanner who shouted into battle? It's been a bit since Twilightstar's had to deal with this level of foolishness amongst her clanmates.
"And you lot! What is wrong with you?" Twilightstar turned her infuriated gaze to Deadmoon, Lynxyowl, and the rest of the WindClan patrol. "I understand loyalty, but this is a bit much. You should have been stopping your featherbrained clanmate not leaping in to help him." Even if Heatherwhisker was somehow correct, which Twilightstar was doubting considering WindClan's history with RiverClan and the fact that again no report was made immediately, rather than jump into battle they should have returned and reported it.
Twilightstar wasn't quite done snarling at her mousebrains called clanmates, but ignoring RiverClan any longer could be considered rather rude. So the leader turned back to the cats across the border. "I don't believe you should be speaking if you don't even know who I am," Twilightstar told Graytail in a level tone and then focused her attention on the more civil RiverClanners.
"I am sincerely sorry about my clanmates. They're usually not this problematic nor dumb enough to follow the first high-strung warrior into a senseless battle. This is completely WindClan's fault and I will personally make sure these idiots are properly punished for this inappropriate act of aggression." Twilightstar meowed with a low bow of her head. Even if RiverClan were prey stealers, Heatherwhisker's actions and WindClan's absurd amount of aggression put WindClan in the wrong here. If it were ShadowClan, then maybe things would have been different.
"Thanks for the offer, but I doubt Beanstar or any RiverClanner would want me in your camp right now. I would appreciate it if you informed Beanstar of my apologies for my harebrained cats. If compensation is needed, I don't mind working something out with him and RiverClan. If he wants to come and speak with me, I can wait until you fetch him?" Twilightstar did not want to throw WindClan into a war over something like this. If it wasn't something concrete that she felt she needed to fight for, then she'd bow her head and toss her pride aside to avoid needless, violence, death, and bloodshed.
"Fallownose, take Heatherwhisker and the rest of our clanmates home. See if you can make more sense of this and get to the bottom as to why they're acting like complete imbeciles. I'll join you once I finish up here."
Her head throbbed from where the WindClan tom repeatedly pummeled her head with his damn bunny paws. Through the blurriness, she blinked to try to refocus her vision, shooting a venomous glare at the warrior Snowbeak was fighting. She let out a humorless scoff as Kestrelpaw told her to not pass out. The words the older apprentice spoke made her freeze, though.
Mom. Her mom. That wasn't right, that was incorrect. But she wanted it to be right. She wanted it to be true. The mere thought of someone caring enough about her to be pissed that she got herself hurt was something that made Bri's heart aches with longing.
She didn't correct Kestrelpaw, and just chuckled softly to hide her heart wrenching with desire to have a mom.
The large tabby felt her catbrows raise in surprise and she let out a soft murmur of thanks as Snowbeak kindly lapped up the blood dripping down her head. Unfortunately, he can wouldn't be able to make the fresh bruises on her temples fade, but that was fine. Better than nothing, which is what she expected to get. "Thanks Snowbeak. Are you okay?" She mumbled airily, sniffing softly.
Smiling a tiny bit as Kestrelpaw warned her not to tell Lily that she had sworn, Briarpaw let out a soft snort of amusement mingled with knowing. "I wont tell her." She'd be a hypocrite if she did, Briar had probably sworn more during this fight anyways.

Her tail flicked softly as her gaze turned to RiverClan. “TwilightStar, I’ll wait here with you, BriarPaw, stay with me, unless if you’re injured, you too KestrelPaw, I can clean up your wound if one of you can find some wet moss and cobweb... The rest of you, I’d like you to return to camp. NightSpark, please go talk to BeanStar… GreyTail, FogFall, go back with NightSpark…” She realized she was forgetting somebody and her soft gaze shifted to SnowBeak… “SnowBeak, I’ll keep you with me too, if you’re not too injured…” His loyalty was something not to be ignored. He made sure his clanmates were okay and she’d always have some respect and admiration for that.
“Actually, SnowBeak. Can you quickly find me some cobweb and moss?” Her voice was sweet… Her gaze shifted to TwilightStar, and she took a seat. “Keep a warrior with you, I feel it would be awkward to sit in silence, especially since a passive conversation seems out of the picture right now. Once BeanStar gets here, I will be taking these apprentices back with me…” She needed to organize this better… “The patrol that will he bringing BeanStar will he FogFall and NightSpark. If he decides not to come, come get us. If he does decide to come chat, SnowBeak, stay here while I take these apprentices back to camp. I feel like you deserve to sit around and hear the leader chat.”
She didn’t give GreyTail a task… But with his hostility, he shouldn’t stay here. “GreyTail, when you get back to camp, make sure to let StonePaw know that there are injured cats and help him get some herbs ready if he needs help. Thank you for your work everyone.” Was she being too bossy? “If anyone from RiverClan had any other ideas, speak now, and if you have nothing, please head off to do your part in this mess.” She would have to apologize to everyone for her bossiness later… And her lack of organization. ——————

CHECK OUT: PebbleSplash

Fogfall nodded. She couldn’t help but feel a bit of sympathy for every Windclan warrior except for Heatherwhisker. They were simply following orders. He was the one who made the crazy accusation. As she was about to leave, she heard Pebblesplash ask for any ideas. Should I? she thought.
Fogfall flicked her ear. No, Twilightstar would deal with them accordingly. For now, she would just do as she was told and leave. Fogfall turned back towards the direction of Riverclan camp and began padding away. Hopefully Beanstar would also find this skirmish as Heatherwhisker’s fault.
The pale grey she could only really find Heatherwhisker to blame for all of this. And her clanmates did, too. But since Twilightstar wasn’t there she wouldn’t have known what happened, unless told by one of her warriors that were here. The windclanners will most likely give her a mumble jumble explanation. That always happens when you’re trying to squirm out of trouble
It was clear as the full moon at a gathering to Snowbeak that WindClan was not at fault as a whole for this - rather, it was just the actions of one fish-brained cat in particular. His eyes narrowed slightly as they darted over to Heatherwhisker who was hopefully being dragged back to his camp, but no hostility showed in them. A question poised by Briarpaw had him turning his head, then quickly shaking it and flashing the young she-cat a kind smile. He was alright; while his sides did sting they had stopped bleeding quickly and he knew he wouldn't need that much patching up. The same couldn't be said about the two apprentices though, and he wanted them to be looked at by their medicine cat as soon as possible.
Pebblesplash was speaking to him now and the pale gray warrior lifted his head at her request. He was to stay here when Beanstar arrived? A trickle of nervousness dripped down to the bottom of his paws but the tom hid it behind an obedient nod. Turning away from the patrol, but still keeping his ears back to listen for any signs of trouble, the pale gray warrior went off in search of the cobwebs and moss that he had been called to search for. Thankfully they were abundantly growing near the more marshier parts and he didn't need to traverse the WindClan border for them. He bent his head to grab a stick, using it to collect up some cobwebs nearby in order to transport them more easily. Snowbeak then poked the end of it into some nearby wet moss, lying halfway in a puddle of water, creating one big cobweb-moss-ball. There was likely an easier way to have carried this, and the warrior simply twitched his whiskers.
Shortly after collecting the requested pieces he returned to the patrol's side, settling first in front of the apprentices. The warriors would surely be able to take care of themselves, and while Snowbeak knew the apprentices could as well, they shouldn't have to at this age. He offered a kind smile to both Briarpaw and Kestrelpaw as his paws began to work at untangling the herb mess on his stick. Once separated he took the damp moss and began to gingerly wipe away at the injuries both apprentices had sustained, pausing every bit to make sure he wasn't hurting them with a hesitant glance of his blue eyes. Once the wounds were washed out, he would set to helping them wrap together some cobweb bandages that would hold just long enough (hopefully) until they both got back to camp.

[ TW: blindness, blood mention, panic. ]
Kestrelpaw was trying not to rub at the blood that was still in her eye, grumbling. The pain has subsided to a pulsing ache, which was good, she guessed. She had been barely paying attention to Pebblesplash, only picking up on Snowbeak staying behind with them to wait for Beanstar. That was weird. Wouldn't it be safer to bring the apprentices back now and get to the medicine den were there was an actual medicine cat and a den full of herbs? Or did Pebblesplash not trust Stonepaw? The older apprentice thought, before brushing it aside. Maybe it wasn't so deep after all.
Still, she should have expected Snowbeak to appear to check on them, but she still jumped when he touched a wet wad of moss her to her scratches. She murmured her thanks, feeling glad at the rush of cool water against her skin (particularly her eye), but it still hurt. She waited to make sure that Briarpaw was okay, before eyeing Snowbeak. Was he injured? She couldn't tell before, since she was too busy tussling with the other Windclan molly. She winced at the thought of her head smashing into the ground, and the sudden memory brought a throb to her head.
She reached a paw up to touch it, flinching as something flew in her face. A fly? Geez... the apprentice reached up to rub her uninjured left eye, before letting out a strangled cry. The world was dark and cloudy. Why was the world cloudy? She thought the lack of vision was just the blood, just was the world still weird? She panicked, pawing at her right eye. The injured one.
"Snowbeak," she said, staring up at the warrior in horror, her good eye widening. "Snowbeak- I can't see out of my eye!"
He nodded slowly, Fogfall was already going, so he ran and joined her
As they arrived at the camp, he rushed toward the leader's den, stopping as he arrived, he didn't entered instantly, thinking if it was a good idea, but he finally entered and spoke up "Nightspark reporting. We engaged a WindClan patrol at the border, several woundeds, no deads, same for the WindClan. Twilightstar came to the border, so Pebblesplash decided it would be a good idea for you to come."
"I am ash... I am embers... My flames once danced bright. My flames now fade... But it returns from the depths... The fire devours me whole... It's the birth of something greater..."
