The apprentice looked towards the warrior, "Oh! I uhm.. know very little fighting.. I was only really trained in hunting." Great, she already was going to be a problem. She could tell.. no, stay positive! She could still do good! She just.. had to try. Darkpaw held her head high as she looked at Owlspots, she could still do this. She could do this. She just.. needed to learn!

Owlspots scanned the clearing Quialpaw and Moonpaw had yet to make there way to the Training Cliffs. Her eyes narrowed in annoyance. There absence would be made note of. If they showed up soon she might let it slid but if they were too late Owlposts would be sure to have a word with them, or Dawnstar maybe... She was yet to decide that as she had more important matters. Standing she stepped around to give the three apprentices who where there some room. "You three may start, try not to die." The spotted molly meowed. She was now in a good spot to watch over how they moved and see if any cats where coming up here. Either way it was a good place to watch and study the cats. How else would she figure out what they needed?

Icy eyes traced over the four cats who had responded to her, all aside from Ashenpaw had showed up and stated their level of learning. All of these cats so called mentors needed their hides ripped off. Pathetic excuses for warriors the lot of them. Pumpkinpaw's ignored him, Pinepaw had four who ignored her, Hazelpaw had no training at all, at least Darkpaw had hunting training. Owlspots held in an annoyed sigh and clicked her tongue instead. "Right than, we will start at the very basics." Of course... she added silently. Standing again Owlspots made sure she was in a good position for all the attended apprentices to see her clearly. "We will start with a basic crouch, used both while hunting and fighting. You will use this to properly balance your body weight and prepare for leaping attacks, or strikes." She informed them. As she spoke the warrior easily moved into a hunters crouch, she would her her tail behind her just off the ground while her paws where evenly spaced. "Now, each of you demonstrate." She ordered.

Owlspots hissed as a weight landed on her back. Moonpaw didn't slow down did she? That alone was annoying. Using the added weight the warrior dropped and rolled to attempt to knock the younger molly from her back. If that did not work she'd figure something else out.

Oh! The Hunter's crouch! Blackie had taught her this one as a kit! The apprentice grinned as she lowered herself to the ground, lashing her tail to steady herself as she crouched. Then she froze in place, barely wobbling. Though, her paws weren't spaced correctly, a couple pokes or prods would definitely knock her over. Darkpaw looked at Owlspots, her eyes filled with complete happiness and overjoy. She was getting training! "Am I doing it right?" She slightly tilted her head at the warrior. She didn't want to be making mistakes.. One of the voices whispered but she shut it out, she was training! She needed to focus on this, not the voices!

Wow those briars are quite hard to get out. Moonpaw hurried to Owlspots "Im sorry for being late, my fur got caught in some briars."

Shrikepaw growled at the rejection from Failpaw of all cats... Shame he'd been looking forward to sparing with her and seeing if her attitude was in words only or if she would strike as viciously in battle too. Ah well he'd have to partner with one of the other cats instead.

One of the other cats who'd already paired off. "Owlspots Im aware we lost someone along the way but we have an uneven group here. Am I to be sparring with you or shall there be a trio." His tailed flicked behind him as he shredded the tough soil beneath his paws with a grin "I dont mind either of those options to be honest."

Oh but wait maybe he might have a partner after all. Giving Owlspots a nod and flicked ear after overhearing the solution he padded away leading the molly to whatever she was doing. Moonpaw had turned Frecklepaw down flat. Shrikepaw found it strange that everyone was so picky with partners, through the monochrome tom may have a preference in the beginning he'd never turn down a partner himself. Still loss gain and he approached Moonpaw "I suppose that means youre paired with me then, not like theres anyone else left." He shrugged "Well first move is yours and Im ready to begin whenever you wish." The smaller tom dropped into a crouch prepared to react to an attack.
