Brightkit was just behind her sister, her paws skimming the ground before picking up again as she ran. Her ears were pricked as they neared the entrance, and as her sister turned to look at her Brightkit gave Creekkit a small grin. Her sister picked up speed and so did the calico, running faster.

She sighed," I'd probably settle on a farm and be a farm loner, I'd hunt for myself and live in a place full of loners, you kits can chose who to come with, besides you all love your precious father, why would you want to come with me when you could stay with him and Skyclan instead. You all know your father's kits at the heart, when he returns you'll hate me. Even if you love me now and couldn't imagine hating me Sandykit. Heck, I'm the only mother raising kits who only knows the names of two of their five kits. I only know you and Waspkit. The others are just my kin and I have no relationship towards, I believe you'd make a good warrior staying in Skyclan instead of following me in the snow. Besides, you wouldn't want to leave your good friend Songkit, would you?"

"I-well- she could come with us!" Sandykit spluttered, speaking the first thought that came to mind. "We could stay together!" Sandykit remembered what her friend had told her. I've made my mind up, I'm going to leave. Songkit already wanted to leave, so she wouldn't mind going with Sandykit and Whiskerfur, right?

Sandykit nodded numbly. I'm really leaving behind the clan... I'll never be seeing my father again. Grief, along with guilt, struck her again, but she stumbled away to go find Songkit. At least I'm not loosing her, now.

Sandykit frowned as she went to find Songkit. You say you love me, but what about my littermates? You at least know Waspkit's name, but you didn't even know that he is a he!

Whiskerfur glanced worriedly at Sandykit," I know the idea is hard, but it will be worth it, besides I'll bring something to remind you of your family in Skyclan."
