From the nursery, Raventail watched Emerald and his mate pad into the warriors den. After they were inside she stood and ran to the camp entrance. She gasped as she felt the kits shift. The black she-cat knew what was going to happen. She looked back, her heart beating fast. She padded out of camp and ran into the forest, gasping in pain.

Once she was far from camp, she layed down in a small hole at the bottom of an oak tree. "Starclan, help me!" she yowled into the cool night air.

Emerald heard the faint yowl on the air. He twitched his ears and looked up.
Should I go check what happened? He thought. He got up slowly and looked down at his sleeping mate.
"Ill be back soon." he whispered, giving Starling a lick on the ear.
He trotted out and scented the air. Raventail? He followed the scent out the camp and into the ShadowClan territory.

Marshclaw sighed, "Then I leave this matter to you." He turns away, "You should be more responsible, and discipline accordingly. Not everyone is meant to be a mentor, nor even to be a warrior." He continues on his way to the warrior's den.

Shrewpaw seemed ready to growl at Marshclaw. He better not had meant me! With a pout, he looked up to Silvercloud. "Sorry?" His composure was careless, making his questionable apology sound like a sarcastic comeback.

Raventail lay in a make-shift nest, panting. The she-cat lay on her side, fear scorched though her. She knew that something was wrong and wished that she were back in the camp.

She yowled again, but this time it was weaker. "Help," was all she could say before spots clouded her vision.

As he followed the scent Emeraldgaze started to hear panting, he broke into a run following the noise. He broke through into a clearing to see Raventail.
"Ravenail!? Are you okay?" He said, padding up to her.

She looked up at the tom, her gaze unfocused. Her black fur was matted by blood, and more was all over one side of the nest.
