Firepaw' padded over. It was great to be in ThunderClan again. Would Bumblestar give her a new mentor?... It would be her 6th mentor change.

Stars above, this was NOT it. Brindlepaw wanted nothing more than to sleep, but instead he was out here, trying to listen to Bumblestar whilst his head pounded and and his nose ran and he coughed tiny, pathetic coughs in a futile attempt to make his throat stop hurting. Tired and sick and generally poorly as he was, he made no attempt to get his fur clean and groomed, or sit up straight. Instead he slumped down next to Mallowpaw, muttering a rough Whats up? He didn't have the energy to be more forceful or suave than that.

”Hey, Sunshine! Whatcha think this meeting’s about?”

Raggedear suddenly appeared beside Sunnystreak, plopping down to take a seat next to him and using his hind leg to scratch behind his ear. ”Do ya think we’ll get to go outside of camp again? If so, we should take a walk together.” He winked. ”Just you, me, and the breeze.” The tom joked, nudging Sunnystreak’s shoulder with his own.

Burnedpaw nodded in greeting to Splitpaw. "Just a meeting." He murmured. "Every now and then Bumblestar will call a meeting to go over stuff or make announcements." He explained. "I'm not sure what this one is about, but we'll find out soon." He added with a small shrug. "It's okay though, nothing to fear." He added, knowing that Splitpaw was new and wanting to offer some comfort from a clan-born cat. In case she was feeling anxious about. He could imagine if he was new to all of this, it would be nerve-wracking.

"Ack!" Sunnystreak jumped in surprise a small shout, not expected for Raggedear to sneak up on him like that. Strawberryfur couldn't help laughing at it, of course, and Sunnystreak couldn't help hissing at her before turning to Rags. A quiet and incoherent grumble coming from him in response. "I'm not sure what 'sunshine' you see but it's not me." He mumbled. A walk? The two of them? Sunnystreak groaned and rolled his eyes. "I don't suppose I talk you out of it now, can I?" He retorted.

Eyes gleaming with interest, Raggedear leaned past Sunnystreak for a moment to say hello to Strawberryfur. ”Hey there, Strawberryfur, right? Don’t mind me, just trying to get Sunshine over here to look my way.” He mewed happily, rounding his eyes innocently. At Sunnystreak’s snarky remark, he just grinned. ”I’d never force you to go if you didn’t want to, but I was starting to think we had a bond! I’m hurt.” Eyes still round, he pouted at the tom for a moment before breaking out into a hearty laugh. ”C’mon, it’ll be fun! We can catch another vole to share.”

Splitpaw looked at Burnedpaw, and listened to what he had to say. "What are you these clan meeting usually about?" she asked, if they weren't nothing to fear then what did they usually talk about. She looked away from him and on Bumblestar. Her green and blue eye looked at her new leader. She then turned back to Burnedpaw. "When are you becoming a warrior."

Sunnystreak felt a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach when Rags turned to his sister. He cautiously caught Strawberryfur's gaze, and was mortified to see his fears confirmed with the sparkle of mischief in her eyes.

"Oh no, please!" His sister mewed. The orange tom tried to mouth 'no' to her, desperate. "By all means, take him!" Sunnystreak's jaw dropped. He felt like the ground just opened him up and swallowed him, or rather he wished it had. He mouthed the word 'traitor' to Strawberryfur, who only giggled and turned away. "Have fuuuun, Sunny!" She mewed in a sing-song voice, waving her tail in farewell before padding away.

Sunnystreak didn't know why he expected anything different from her, she never actually understood him or his feelings. He looked at Raggedear's 'hurt' eyes and huffed. "Oh please..." He was startled slightly by the laugh but at least he managed not to shout or choke on air this time. Ugh, fine. We can go hunting for the clan after the meeting." He reluctantly agreed, but only for the sake of the clan. At least, that's what he was trying to convince him and Rags it was for. He definitely did not enjoy this flirt's company at all.

Burnedpaw twitched his tail thoughtfully at Splitpaw's question. "I guess like...ceremonies or if there's news to share." He told her. He didn't want to tell her examples of scary news and make her feel unsafe. "Sometimes the news is...not great. But Bumblestar always knows how to handle things." He explained. "Although," he mewed, glancing at Splitpaw, "she may bring up your arrival as well." He was mainly telling her this to prepare her for the possibility. Better to be prepared right?

He sat up straighter at her next question, thinking about being a warrior made his paws tingle. "By the time I'm 10 moons old." He meowed determinedly. He was adamant about completing his assessment and all other requirements by then, he didn't want to delay his ceremony for anything if he could help it. "There are still some things I have to complete before then. I'm only 6 moons now so I have some time." He explained.

Buzzkit rolls over in his nest, fur fluffing out along the moss. He stirs as a call from out in the camp sounds out… but he cares too much about dozing right now to pay it any mind. However, Buzzkit is harshly awakened when some kit tramples his stomach fur, paw dragging it in their path enough that Buzzkit’s eyes shoot open.

“Ow!” he complains loudly, but the kit who had - literally - walked over him has already headed onwards. In fact, all of the other kits of the nursery are padding off like ants to a sweet smell, most of them already having left while others gather at the entrance and peek their heads out at whatever is interesting them so much. Gathering his little legs under all his fur to lift himself up, Buzzkit squints in slightly drowsy thought as he stands.

…Oh! Oh! That voice- hadn’t that been Bumblestar’s? The kit is still learning about how things work, but he’s pretty sure that this is a meeting. No wonder everyone looks so attentive, no wonder the kits look so eagerly intrigued - he is too!

It takes a little effort to get out from under the taller kits at the nursery entrance, the spot crowded already, but Buzzkit slots himself alongside the others and earns himself a view of the camp. And, wow- so many cats are already gathered in front of Bumblestar! The clan looks like a big family, like this.
