Tawnykit kept low, her eyes focused on the ground. As her name was spoken, she looked up towards Halestar, but no respect was in her amber hues. She remained silent, mouthing the words and hoping that nobody would notice. She worked her claws into the ground, glaring at yet another cat who had celebrated in her mother's death. And this time, she knew that this cat had also taken part in killing her mother. She bared her fangs silently, still looking towards Halestar, then she turned, secretly, she was filled with a sense of pride at having her apprentice ceremony, but she was also angered by it. She couldn't help but get mad whenever she saw Halestar, who to her, was far worse than a murder. Tawnykit, now Tawnypaw, slunk away, heading towards her mentor, Tawnymouth. She found the similar names annoying, and held it against Halestar for mocking her in this way.

Kestrelberry watched in awe and horror as a mentor dragged his apprentice into camp, eyes immediately focused on the swelled bite that he could see from where he was standing. The heavy-set Tom gasped with releif when he spotted Kestrelberry, he'll know what to do. Bumbleleap tensed up as the medicine-cat asked him, what should I say? This is my fault... "We were hunting when a snake, an adder, leapt out, Twilightpaw wasn't fast enough..." The silver tabby mewed calmly, feigning a collected manor. Inside he was screaming. He watched as the tom set to work, admiring his quickness.

Sorrelbreeze stopped purring when her ears picked a gruff unfriendly voice and felt an intense glare attempting to burn a hole through her fur. She turned to be "greeted" by black and white fur that was at her eye level. She looked and met two light green eyes staring her down in an unfriendly manner. This leafbare seems to be a successful one. Many kills could be found and made to be taken back to camp, there didn't seem to a huge shortage of one thing, food, water, herbs, nothing. So why is he wasting his time, trying get her to do a job to get more of a thing that they are already have abundance in? Sorrelbreeze didn't like the idea of staying around to argue about this to him. She got up from her spot and was prepared to move. She wasn't going to be finally doing her warrior duties yet, however. She was simply leaving to a quieter place in the clearing where this tom wouldn't be badgering her. (( c; ))

The black and white tom has dealt with many, many snappy and mouthy apprentices, young cats and warriors, considering most of the time, he was the cat to prompt others to do their duties when they'd rather be laying around the camp like a bunch of soft-skinned kittypets, when there was always work to be done. So really, you could say he was expecting the sort of answer that Sorrelbreeze would spit at him. Most cats didn't like to be reminded that they have actual duties to attend to rather than watching kits.
"I will mind my own business as soon as you have attended to your duties. You didn't become a warrior to lay around camp and watch kits, unless I'm mistaken and have been doing my job wrong."
His yellow gaze was stern, as if he were talking to some insubordinate apprentice, however that's not what he saw it as. He never put himself above other cats, he put Shadowclan above other clans, but not himself above his clanmates. He just tried to get cats to do what was right for their clan, and he always got flack from others because of it. As if it was some terrible thing to do to be reminding cats of their duties. Albeit he was a bit gruff sometimes, a bit stern, but sometimes you had to be to get cats to listen to you, if you just nicely asked them, half the time they would agree and simply forget about it. Flicking his ears, his head swiveled to watch her move before he found he was following after her. He didn't trust that she would attend to her duties, but simply move to another part of the clearing and sit there and be useless. Shadowclan needed warriors not kittypets who sat there and did nothing.

A large emerald green eye could been seen popping out of the nursery. Then another large eye came with the other one to make a pair. It was Onyxkit. She was a small and slender she-cat with a strange personality. She twitched her tail tip as she pawed the ground a bit. The she-cat looked around, "Hmm, it looks like a grim day to me," she muttered in her young cat voice. She usually saw things as something bad. In other words, she was pessimistic. However, on rare occasions, she would say something that would lift the spirits of another feline.

Onyxkit blinked as she began to slink her way out of the nursery. She was old enough to go out in the clearing by herself. In fact, she was four moons old! She was almost an apprentice! The female felt her body tingle at the thought in excitement. She wanted to be an apprentice badly. Onyxkit liked the idea of rising in power, but it didn't drive her mad.

The poor she-kit would try to act normal and make friends with the other kits, but they seemed to understand her humor or her actions. She would laugh at morbid things, then she would play a bit to rough. She needed a feline, who could match her weird ways and understand her, but it was a hard task. She tried everyday. She went to almost every cat to speak to them, but to no avail. She had not found a friend. Onyxkit frowned at the thought as she padded into the clearing and sat down a few feet from the nursery.

Lionkit jumped over the undergrowth, trying to sneak his way into the nursery when he saw a lone she-kit in the clearing. Perfect excuse! He padded over t her and sat infront, smiling. "Heloooo..." he purred. "I am Lionkit, and you arrreee?" he asked, trying to strike up a conversation as quickly as possible, just in case any of his siblings or family came out.

Many kits know about them," she mewed. "So, I will make you a deal. You take me on your next adventure, and I won't tell where you have been," she mewed blinking her large green orbs up at him. It was true, many of the kits knew about Lionkit's adventures, and some of them longed to go with him, but he or she was to afraid of his or her mother.

Lionkit suddenly smiled. "Deal!" he meowed and looked around then neared in closer to her. "I am going to the stream tonight, so get your sleep, alright! Come on, I'll show you the best place to sleep in here!" he purred and padded int the nursery.

Onyxkit blinked and nodded as she got up and padded after him. When she entered the nursery she looked around and crouched down a bit. She normally got strange looks from the other kits, which made her feel weird and unwanted. However, she quickly padded after Lionkit and walked beside him her fur rubbing up gently against his. She actually liked to touch other cat's fur to feel comfort.
