I kept walking until I realized where I was. I was at the burial grounds." He said, casting a glance to his friend, making sure she was listening. "So likewise I payed some respects for my adopted father. Just normal stuff that happens at the burial grounds I guess." He gave a shrug and rolled his neck. "So then, as I was doing that, I heard scratching behind me. At this point I was getting freaked out and I turned around. The sight there was terrifying enough. All I could see was a paw sticking through the ground where one of the graves were. I panicked and starting retreating. But then the rest of the body came through the dirt and landed shaking on the ground. She looked up at me and asked what had happened. So I responded 'You died, and now you're back.' She looked shocked, but seemed to be feeling fine. Oh! I forgot to mention. Her fur was disgusting! And it reeked too." He wrinkled his nose, remembering the acrid scent. "It was all matted and covered with dirt, and just plain disgusting. But she introduced herself, Lilacblossom. She said that she died about 24 moons ago. She said that Starclan had sent her back to stop her mate for killing himself. So naturally I helped. It felt weird though, being beside a dead cat. It was creepy." He shudders. "Anyways, that was the time I was part of a prophecy." He joked.

Storkpaws laughter faded quickly though, as he watched her stern expression. It looked like she was about ready to battle some invisible force, and he didn't exactly know what to do with it. He opened his mouth to say something, but she beat him too it. But the words coming out of her mouth were ones that brought back the play date from before.mthe one where he and Owlkit were playing and Wingpaw joined them. He had known, subconsciously, that Wingpaw had been trying to flirt with him. He had two sisters near his age, he knew what is was like. But he had just thrown her off. Or so he thought. "Owlkit, I- I really didn't know her until that day when she joined us. I promise. I can't make you believe me, but I will try my hardest. I was joking with you. Playing with you. Being your friend, and I just said that name for fun. That cat you saw me come in with, is really my adopted brother, Barkskip. I can call him over for you if you really need that much persuasion, but-- I want you to believe me. When Wingpaw showed up, I... I was just as shocked as you were. I didn't know what to say, nor could I say much right there in front of her without sounding rude. I felt terrible for you really. Because I know, that we are good friends, and it has to be hard, watching some other she cat swoop in and try to take me like that. I'm sorry if I seemed to like the flirts she was throwing around at me. Okay? I'm sorry." He apologized quickly. Storkpaw wasn't good at this balancing game. The one of feelings. Because right now he had to find the perfect balance of his emotions and hers. If he said too much, she might think that he was making this up, stumbling, trying to find a way out of the mess. If he said to little, then Owlkit might think he was lying, keeping back the truth. And he couldn't handle loosing his best friend.
Owlkit cocked her head to the side as Storkpaw began his story. There wasn't anything too unusual about that...but there must have been, from the expression on his face when he had told her she wouldn't believe what had happened. She thought for a moment, wondering what could have happened in the burial grounds that could have been so strange. But what he told her next never occurred to the young she cat's mind. "No. Way. Back to life? As in, like, she- she was dead? And she...you're sure of what you saw, cats can...they can come back? Even if they aren't leaders? Wh- what?" Owlkit mewed, her voice becoming high pitched and more kit-like. Normally she hated it when it did this, but right now was the exception. She was amazed by the fact that someone could actually come back. She couldn't understand it. It wasn't that she wasn't intelligent enough to, but just hearing what had happened made her get chills all over. She wondered if any of the cats who had died in the war would come back. Although she knew it was a selfish thought to have, part of her was happy that she hadn't been an apprentice yet when the war had started. She had thought she would like to fight, to help defend her Clan, but now...now she wasn't so sure. Seeing all those cats bleeding and hearing the panicked mews even from the nursery was horrifying, not to mention afterwards when the injured came back to camp to be treated. And the blood, everywhere...Owlkit squeezed her eyes shut, trying to erase the memory from her brain, although she knew she never would be able to. No matter how much she wanted to, a scarring memory like that could never be erased.

Owlkit wondered what would drive a cat with so much hatred that they could take someone else's life. That they could destroy a cat and take away not only their life but their family's mental heath and everything that they had worked for over the moons. A shudder went down the she cat's spine at the thought. She couldn't wrap her mind around it. And she doubted she ever would be able to, it was just...something that she was terrified of now. And she didn't know what to do. I don't want anyone else to get hurt, and especially not Storkpaw, but I can't protect anyone. If they want to go and fight that's their business, not mine. Owlkit thought. She wasn't even sure why she was thinking about this, since the war was over now. All the Clans were freed from their oppressive leaders.

Everything would be alright now. She listened to Storkpaw's words, emotions flickering across her face at an almost impossible speed. Skepticism. Confusion. Acceptance. Worry. And finally, a calm, serene expression spread across the she cat's face. She believed him. There was no way he was making this up. And if he was, she would find out about it...she would. But for now, she would let it go. They would probably never see Wingpaw again, so what was the point of holding on to some stupid grudge, anyway? She had seen too many cats get their lives ripped away from them to hold a grudge against her best friend. Who knew, someone could attack the next day and then they could all be dead. Granted, she and Storkpaw would be in StarClan and she would still be able to be around him, but it wouldn't be the same. Definitely not. "Alright, Storkpaw. You don't have to get your brother, and- and I believe you. It's not your fault Wingpaw was flirting with you- and I guess I don't think you were encouraging her. I...I'm sorry. I got way too caught up in jealousy, it's something I need to...to work on." Owlkit mewed with a distressed expression. She felt bad. She had embarrassed herself, not to mention accusing her friend, but at least she was doing the right thing. I hope so. She thought with an anxious twitch of her tail, looking at Storkpaw with her grey-blue hues wide, hoping for his approval and acceptance once more. She truly was sorry. She didn't like that she had just blindly assigned blame. But maybe, maybe everything was going to be okay, and things would go back to the way they were.

So long as that happened, Owlkit would be just fine.

( open rp )

Autumnleaf padded out of the quiet den, raising her head and looking at the clouds that slowly drifted across the sky above the trees. She gave a low, almost silent exhale of breath, a light cloud of air escaping her parted jaw. The warrior stuck to the edges of the Thunderclan camp, making sure to avoid anyone’s gazes that she seemed to attract. It had felt so long ago since her life had been complete with everyone she could have ever wanted. Her adopted parents, Alderstripe and Violeteye, had since split and Autumnleaf never saw them anymore. Her kits had since grown and moved on with their own lives in the clan, never really coming around to visit her. Even her own mate, Lightningclaw, was not around and out of everyone - she missed him the most. She missed when they’d go for walks and wrestle like kits. The she-cat gave a slight smile when she remembered them laying on their backs in the leaves in Leaf-Fall and just watching the clouds. Everyone, however, had changed in her life and she felt like it was all her own doing. The she-cat gave a brisk final sigh as she sat down in the shade of a nearby tree, drawing her tongue across one of her paws and dragging it over her ears, growing her long golden-brown fur.

But, sometimes it was hard to persuade others, even if you were...quite good at it. "It is wise not to trust my words, or what I'm offering you, Jaypaw." Stubborn, and doesn't trust me easily, hmph, good choice, I would think. "Most cats would simply say yes immediately, but you are quite different than the others, good choice to question me, and my offer." The molly told, eyes gleaming, she would only propose this once, and only..once. If he refused, she would not ask him again, ever, unless he comes begging to her. That would possibly happen, but its also impossible to happen. Mossdrop was a wicked cat, a persuader, and all. This wasn't her first or second marigold trip around.

"But, I promise you, these cats will make you the warrior your clan needs, and perhaps, you may become leader, in time." Hmm, this is becoming more interesting than the last time I asked this to another apprentice. "This is not an offer I give lightly, only to those who I see who could be better than their fellow warriors, apprentices. Do you want to be the best, better than your den mates?" Mossdrop spoke, boring right into his eyes. He doesn't know the lies Mapledash has, locked up, but she wouldn't tell, it would make him refuse this offer, she didn't want to ruin his chance. I don't really know the lies well at heart, but I do know that he fled when Ratnight came with Sagewhisker of Windclan, a very big coward. He probably fell in love with that stupid cat as well! Disloyalty like that is a disgrace. She thought, extreme annoyance boiling in her head, she knew Mapledash was a Starclan Supporter, she knew it, she always knew it. It angered her, a lot.
{This is so incredibly late oml I'm trash}
The silver tom narrowed his eyes at the warrior in front of him, she threw a difficult question at him, one that was hard to answer, if he said yes, he would be selfish, power hungry, but if he said no, he would be a push over, un respectful, and he couldn't have either of those. He flicked his tail and turned his attention back to the apprentices den, his blue hues shone with untold emotions as he thought deeply about her question "Well, I would say neither. I would like to be strong, but I would like for all of my clanmates to be just as equally strong, strong enough so that they don't get hurt. And I don't strive for power, I don't mind if I stay a warrior, just as long as I can help my clan." he said, no emotions evident in his voice, he spoke nothing but truth though, nothing he said was said to make her respect him, look up to him, any of that, he didn't care for power or status, he just cared for the lives of his loved ones, and thankfully, remorakit, his sister, was able to help him in this promise he made to himself.

Jaypaw turned his attention back to mossdrop and flicked his tail "Who exactly are these cats? Are they clan cats? If they are and or were, where they loyal, are they loyal? How well do know these cats. Mossdrop I respect you as a clanmate, but im not too sure I respect you as a warrior." He stated simply, nothing warm came from the words he spoke, he was being cornered, he became defensive, he knew something bad was about to happen, he could feel it, and he wasn't ready for it.

Oh yeah, yeah, I agree, absolutely, right," She mewed quickly, nodding her head. In reality she had no idea what he was talking about. She just liked to pretend she did, it made her feel more in control of the conversation. She glanced at him, to see if he would believe her or if he thought she was a complete lunatic. Probably the second one, with her expertise. She would end up getting pegged as a lunatic and he would walk away, never to be seen again. Either that or she would have made an enemy, which she did not want. Anything was better then an enemy. A friend, a partner, a companion...someone who didn't like her but tolerated her...anything! She glanced almost pleadingly at the tom as though asking him to forgive her for her silly, naïve nature.

The light had returned to her blue hues and she laughed, a light, airy sound that seemed to fit her very well. "Really? What if both my eyes were scratched out and I was stumbling around and couldn't see anything? What if I were the leader? Have you ever met him? Do you know what he looks like?" She asked. Appearances were something that Hawkfeather learned could easily be tweaked. As were first impressions. She wasn't sure what this cat had thought of her when he had first approached, but she was pretty sure what he was thinking now: Oh StarClan, what have I gotten into? It was the same thing that she could tell on every expression, but Bluejay seemed to be more friendly. Like Wrenclaw. He hadn't treated her like she was crazy, or stupid...he had treated her like a friend. Something she was thankful for. She hadn't seen her best friend around in a while, and wondered what had happened to him. Last she had heard he had ran off with some she cat, gotten rejected, come back to his old mate and gotten rejected again. Poor Wrenclaw. And his poor mate- or ex-mate, actually, too! She didn't deserve that. But...he was just confused. He needs help. Hawkfeather thought with a sigh, curling her tail more tightly around herself. "Anyways, it's nice to meet'cha too, Bluejay!" Hawkfeather mewed, her tail twitching back and forth as she gave him a bright, friendly smile.
"Okay, so when I came to the Clan- or was found, more like- my name was Hawke. I was a loner. Had been living on my own, trying to teach myself the ways of the world, so to speak, and to put things simply I wasn't doing too good. I was pretty sickly, and weak... again, wasn't doing too good. So ThunderClan took me in, gave me the name Hawkkit, and from then on I grew up here: Hawkpaw, and finally Hawkfeather. Oh yeah, I don't really know why I ended up being Hawkfeather...thought I'd have a cool name like Hawkcry, or Hawkglide, or Hawkeye...y'know, something real neat, but I ended up with Hawkfeather. Guess it's cause my pelt is super soft, feels really good...here, I'll show you!" Hawkfeather mewed, getting up and brushing against the tom in a friendly manner, a smile still on her maw. Physical contact was no big deal to Hawkfeather. She found it an extra-friendly way of expressing thanks, or greetings, or appreciative gestures. She stepped back, blue hues gleaming as she glanced at Bluejay with an expectant look in her eyes, head cocked sideways.

"So? What do you think?" She asked, a quivering note in her voice as though she were nervous he might be angry with her for making physical contact. She didn't see the big deal, but he might.
{this is late, I'm so sorry, I'm trash.
and it's so incredibly short my brains dead, I'm sorry ;w;}

The silver warrior cocked his head to the side at the other warriors rapid fire of questions, what did she think he was, a starclan warrior, he didn't have all the answers to every single problem in the world, and honestly, he didn't want to. "Well if you we're the leader, I would still treat you the same way, and I kind of saw Gyrestar the day I became a warrior, he seems pretty nice, he's fairly....skinny I would say, looks more like a Windclan warrior. Haha but he has the spirit of a Thunderclan warrior." he laughed, nothing but honor and praise came from the words he spoke about the leader. When she was already upon the next sentence, he realized that they had a lot more in common that what he had originally thought, that made things a little He layed his head on his paws and looked up at Hawkfeather "Really? My stories about the same except my father was from Thunderclan, and my mother was a loner, my loner's name was Jay, my twin sister's was Dove, and my younger sister's was Wing. Mom loved birds, so she named us after them, but...something...awful happned, we were moved here, after me and my sisters became apprentices, Dovecloud ran away to windclan. And now I'm a warrior, and my sister, Wingdrop just became a warrior a few moons back." he stated, then felt the head rise in his cheeks, why in the name of Starclan did he just spill out his guts to someone he just met, he couldn't understand it, and he couldn't explain it either, but he knew he could trust her, he knew that she wouldn't judge, or hurt him, or deceive him, he felt as though he could trust her, he felt that he could actually talk about all of his feelings, his secrets, he wanted to, but he wouldn't, not yet.

Hawkfeather smiled at hearing the tom's response to her earlier comment. He seemed nice. At least he wasn't acting as though Gyrestar were a jerk, like some cats chose to do. The tip of her tail twitched as she laughed a little. "Hm. I would hope I would be addressed with more respect...if I were leader. I've seen Gyrestar before, he seems like a nice cat...he'll make a good leader, don't ya think?" She asked with a grin in Bluejay's direction. She was thankful that he seemed to be a pleasant cat. She had met quite a few rude cats in her lifetime, and she was tired of having cats treat her like she was just another life to be thrown away if wartime came again. She was tired of being treated as though she were just another face in the crowd...which might have been part of the reason she went out of her way to say hello to every cat she happened upon. Of course if they were already busy, she didn't...naturally it wasn't right for her to invade upon someone else's conversation. Unless they were being bullied. Or she already knew the cat. Or if they invited her. Hawkfeather lay down, rolling over onto her side in a lazy fashion as she listened to Bluejay's story. How awful! She thought, glancing at him with her hues wide. She hated the thought that someone else might have gone through something like she had. Just because things happened to her didn't necessarily mean that she wanted them to happen to others. She liked Bluejay! And besides that, even if he were a horrible cat, he didn't deserve something like that. It was a horrible thought that a mother would just dump her kits. Although once again, it had happened to her. "Wow. That's terrible, I'm so sorry. So do you ever wish that you were in some other Clan? Or are you proud to be part of ThunderClan? Did you ever wish you were leader?" Hawkfeather asked, finding her questions spilling out faster then she had expected. She felt her pelt heat up with embarrassment as she realized that she was probably being a little too pushy for the tom's liking, and she lowered her head, averting her blue hues from the tom. "Sorry. I like to ask questions when I meet someone new, it helps me get to know them," She mewed with a friendly smile. She wondered if the tom had good friends in ThunderClan. Or any friends, for that matter...not that he was disagreeable, but some very nice cats didn't have friends. She herself had been one of those cats for a while- and yes, she did consider herself to be a nice cat. Nicer then some, She thought with a snort, remembering how some cats tended to just brush her off with an uncaring manner as though she wasn't important at all.
(Oh no, it's fine! Don't worry about it I have days like that all the time, and don't worry about it being late (: )

"R-r-really?!" they exclaimed, tail shooting up in surprise. Looking somewhat like an absurd statue, the small grey cat's olive eyes were round as a million thoughts wizzed through their head. This has to be a joke. Me?! But what about Smallpaw and Leafpaw and Jaypaw and Fennelnose? They blinked at the medicine cat. "But... Why me?"

Flameleaf couldn't sleep. She raised her head. Flameleaf heard the kits mewing and looked at them. They are so cute! Flameleaf thought. They are probably hungry though.
