Re: ThunderClan Territory
(Open RP)
A lean form crouched down to fit herself within a small dip hidden in the forest's underbrush. It'd be a decent enough little hollow to finish a meal, carpeted by soft grass rather than the crackling leaves Roadbound usually found underfoot in these woods. The molly smiled, nipping some fur off of the freshly killed mouse that lie on her front paws. The summer heat may be stifling under her dark coat, but the meat always came easy this time of year. Autumn hunting in Thunderclan's territory made for a stressful time, weaving around fallen branches and leaves so that their obnoxious cracking wouldn't alert prey. But summer was much more laissez faire, and the trees overhead provided her some protection from the beating sun. It was undoubtably her favorite hunting spot during these slow moons.
She squinted her eyes in contentment and lowered her head, pulling a leg off of her mouse. As she crunched down on the brittle bones, her ears flicked upwards, listening for any approaching voices or footfalls. Roadbound was in a rather lazy mood today and would prefer to avoid needless confrontation, mentally mapping out a silent escape route in case any patrolling Clan cats came down and decided to linger. Nothing but the sound of wind so far. Still relatively relaxed in her secluded little spot, the loner continued to quietly devour her morsel.

As she slowly padded away from GyreHaze after she left us go Phew that was a close one she thought. As she fastened her pace she couldn't help but feeling that someone was close by. She silently picked up a scent and looked at GyreHaze to see if she could smell it too.

Roadbound's ears swiveled towards the sound of quiet footsteps. Though somewhat muffled by the soft ground, she could make out their lively gait as they approached. She lifted her muzzle to the air and gave a good whiff. Clan scent. Possibly a small patrol, though the wind blowing against her made it hard to know for sure.
After a moment's thought, she picked up what was left of her mouse, slunk low into the underbrush, and crawled away from the sound towards the direction of the border. Her tailtip looked to be sweeping the ground as it flickered in irritation. She supposed she could find a little shade outside the territories.

Tumblepaw flicked his tail. "Great!" he exclaimed. He started padding to the camp entrance, glancing back to make sure she was following. He quivered with excitement, then stopped. He wondered why he was so happy to be with Orchidpaw. She was just his friend, right? The spotted tabby tom shook his head and looked back at the beautiful she-cat. Friend. She's just a friend, he told himself, not really believing it.

(I mean do you think Orchidpaw should like him too, or he likes her and Orchidpaw doesn't.
Now that they were In Thunderclan territory, Orchidpaw pricked her ears. She couldn't pick up any trace of prey. The white molly turned her gaze onto the brown tom, "Can you smell anything?" she asked him with a small smile.

She slowly listened for any sounds and the scent disappeared. When she caught the scent again it was clan scent she relaxed her muscles and decided to follow the scent.

Roadbound quickened her pace when she heard the footsteps behind her start to rustle the surrounding underbrush. Of course, it was just her luck that those Thunderclanners would choose to scrounge around her favorite leisure spot today. Belly low to the ground, she continued to slink onward, but the rustling behind her refused to fade into the distance. Suspicious, Roadbound paused and tensed herself. The footsteps grew louder. Oh, so she was being followed, what a joy.
Reluctant to give this Clan cat the satisfaction of tracking her down successfully, she sat her haunches down and stuck her long neck up above the underbrush. "I know you're there, friend," she exclaimed snidely, narrowing her eyes in annoyance.

She jumped back in surprise after seeing the cat just come out of the underbrush like that. "Im sorry." Onyxfire said "Im Onyxfire and you?"
She tilted her head towards the cat and sat down waiting for an answer.

(Oh. Idk, it's really up to you. Do you want to break poor Tumblepaw's heart? Or do you want him to be with Orchidpaw forever?)
The grey spotted tabby gave the air a deep sniff, but drooped his head with disappointment when it turned out to be a waste of time. "Nope, nothing," he replied with a sigh. "Let's keep moving." Tumblepaw trotted through the trees, ears pricked for any sounds. An ear twitched as he picked up the faint sound of a mouse's heartbeat. The tom sniffed the air, picking up the faint scent of the mouse. He dropped into a crouch, a slight breeze ruffling his ear fur. Pricking his ears and gazing around with narrowed eyes, Tumblepaw tried to pinpoint the location of the prey. A leaf quivered and his gaze darted to the fallen leaf. Slowly, he started pulling himself forward, almost shaking with excitement. He loved hunting, it was his favorite pastime and a great way to relax after a long day of training. It was beneficial to the Clan too. Because of that, the grey apprentice didn't feel bad relaxing in his own time.
As the tom grew closer to the mouse, he started measuring the distance he would need to pounce. After he reached what felt like the perfect distance, he liciked his jaws and leapt. He sailed through the air, landing perfectly on the mouse. Long, sharp claws dug into his prey's flesh and the tom delivered the killing bite. Lifting his head, he padded to a bush and buried his prey. Once he was finished, he smiled at Orchidpaw. "You're turn," he mewed cheerfully. Tumblepaw only said that because he wanted to watch his fellow apprentice hunt, maybe he could learn a few things. Or maybe you just want to watch her hunt because she's probably beautiful when she hunts, a small voice in his head countered. Tumblepaw twitched his ear irritably, choosing to ignore the voice.

They will end up together! But to make it more realistic he should at least have one different crush.)
Orchidpaw nodded to her fellow apprentice. She padded a bit forward, perking her tan and white ears. Sun shone on her frosty pelt, making it shine like the place it had come from. When she moved softly, each movement sending a ripple through her pelt, the light on her seemed to dance. It made each movement seem smoother and softer then the one before. It seemed as though she could distract from the beauty of the forest. As though she was one of the wonders, the greatest wonder of all. Her pelt sparkled phantom white, ghostly, and pale. But the rest of the forest was dark brown and green, she stood out. With each movement she distracted more and more from the forest. The way her pelt rippled with each muscle she strained, letting light dance.
For, the forest can not do any of that, but a small apprentice can.
The small molly however noticed none of this, her gaze was drawn to a small brown rodent. It was eating a nut, behind a lead. Easy catch! Orchidpaw began to stalk forward lightly. Her paws touched the ground without making a sound. A twig did not snap. A stone did not fall. Even her breathing was allow calm and quiet. She moved closer and closer,
until soon she was only a whisker away. Then, she pounced. Her paws slammed down on the mouses neck. The nut went tumbling out. She smiled at her catch, a possibly cruel smile, but more likely on of thanks for feeding her clan. She gave it a quick bite on the neck to make sure it was truly dead, then she picked it up between her teeth and dropped near the base of the tree. She scrapped her paws deep into the diet, and placed the mouse inside. She covered it back up, and then padded back over to Tumblepaw.
