Someone dumped a box of kits in front of our house......What should i do? - Page 3

We will care for them until they are old enough to care for themselves.Then we will give some of them away to family and friends.

Kittens don't need milk if they're 8 to 12 weeks months old; they should be weaned by then. (We adopted ours at 8 weeks, they were on a canned/dry food diet.)

Since you already have several cats already, I would recommend taking them to a local animal rescue. They'll be able to give the babies any and all medical help they need and look into adopting them out / fostering them. @The milk boy

Ok thanks for the tip!We decided that we will keep 2 of them and fortunately we have many cat lover friends and family so we have decided to give one to my friends house,another one to my aunt,and the last one to our neighbor.I think they can eat canned food due to the fact they are 3 months at least im guessing.But first its time for a checkup for the kittens!

I have trained for this day.
1. FEED THEM Milk!!!!
They need food!
2. Take them to the vet
You have no idea wether their sick or what gender they are
3. Try and get you're family/friends to adopt them ASAP
The faster they get into someone's house, the faster they get use to leaving you and you're family at your house. They will be rude to other humans who take them for a month if they get use to you.
4. Find out who did it and punch them in the face
Do I really need to explain?

I’d say it depends. Keeping kittens somebody dumped in your yard sounds like a bad idea, though. You don’t know why they would do that in the first place. I’d say take them to a vet first before doing anything else. After that, you should keep them for a while in case someone is actually looking for them. It could just be that they left the kitties there by accident or they were going to come back after a bit. You never know.

If they are still there, it’s your decision to make.

Ummmm......this is a bit outdated so we gave 2 of them off to my aunt.We gave 1 to my friend and we kept 2........so yeah.......

That’s horrible! I say keep them. If it’s too many kittens to keep, then give some to people you can trust with them. I found a website with recipes for homemade kitten formula if it would help: https://kittenrescue.org/2017/03/rec...itten-formula/
Also, why can’t you give them to the shelter? Is it not a good shelter, or-

Shelters are good, it's just that especially during the pandemic, they fill up fast, so if you can get them adopted out by yourself, that would help them a ton. A lot of shelters have stopped volunteering(for the pandemic), so they can't take care of as many animals. Pretty sure many shelters have a rule that if an animal hasn't been adopted for this and such amount of time they get euthanised. So adopt them yourself/friends if you can first.
