OKAY, INTERESTING PLOT TIME.
I'm not entirely sure of Sunpelt's personality yet, but maybe he stumbles upon Blackpaw while he's training Twistedpaw.
Maybe he demands to know what they're doing, Twistedpaw is scared, Blackpaw could probably find a good explanation, but this was the cat who maimed (kinda) his daughter, so he could get hostile, but Twistedpaw could convince him that it wasn't worth it?
Then Rosepaw talks about how Blackpaw and Twistedpaw were friends, trying to convince them that they set it up, and this worsens Twistedpaw's reputation and betters Rosepaw's.
How about that?

I actually kinda want to Have Black fight him but one of the definitive parts of his character is he won’t give up until he wins. And I’m just not up for that long in atm.

SunPelt is prideful but not too much, caring, social, will be your friend and is playful but if you meet him in battle or on patrols he will not play around, he is careless about other clans' emotions and only helps them ONLY to please StarClan, he grudgingly helps the other clans ONLY if the clan(s) are about to be driven out or wiped out, SunPelt is also ambitious. @ TheNyanCatMinecart @ Mumble @ Mentallyunstable

Sunpelt will go to the Whispering Wetlands to find Twistedpaw and Blackpaw practicing battle moves together. What he does is your idea, but most likely, he'll tell Twilightstar. Twistedpaw will try to explain along with Blackpaw, and she does have a good excuse.
