Re: Try me & Ill show you a fang [Rc Warriors & Apprentices]
Ivypaw smiled. This seemed really exciting! She watched as Sunsetbloom walked around. She waited for her turn.

Frostpaw smiled. This was actually fun for a change. She sat around waiting for Sunsetbloom to come over, examining how others did. The move itself sounded a little complicated, but watching it made it look easier. Frostpaw would probably get it down pretty easily. As she waited for Sunsetbloom she played out where she would jump and land, moving to each spot as she did. It was good to be prepared.

@Rani
~ HAZELPAW
She didn't have time to even think. As Sunsetbloom reared up, Hazelpaw's green eyes widened, and, as swiftly as she could, Hazelpaw held out her paws, claws sheathed of course, and leaned back slightly for a heartbeat. She pushed off as hard as she could, splashing water droplets everywhere, and instinctively Hazelpaw's paws attempted to slash at Sunsebloom's exposed belly as the other she-cat began bring her paws down. If it worked, well, it wouldn't harm the warrior anyway.

Re: Try me & Ill show you a fang [Rc Warriors & Apprentices]
**Codpaw**
This was actually fun; doing anything in the water made it that much more fun. He felt confident that he'd gotten the last move down well enough so he watched Sunsetbloom closely for the next move. He practiced the motions a couple of times, getting a feel for the resistance of the water, while he waited for Sunsetbloom to come around.
When she faced him, he lunged forward and reached for her shoulders. He grabbed hold (hope that's okay, otherwise play it as though he missed), but the drag of the water took him by surprise and he lost his grip before he could successfully pull himself up. His body bobbed back into the water so he got his footing again and reset. "Can I try again? I think I've got it this time."
He tried once more. Getting a firm grip, he focused his strength on his hind paws, digging his claws into the river bed as Sunsetbloom had instructed, and pushed off the ground. The momentum carried him up out of the water and onto Sunsetbloom's back (again, hope this is OK otherwise RP as though he missed). He lost his balance and fell back to the water with a splash but he re-emerge happy that he'd gotten as far as he did with the move.

Re: Try me & Ill show you a fang [Rc Warriors & Apprentices]
Graypaw slipped in a bit late but managed to hear the warrior's instructions. They waded into the water lining up with the other apprentices before pausing to listen to the rest of Sunsetbloom's instruction. They didn't have much of an issue standing in the water as an almost fully grown cat. The gray apprentice nodded in response and mimicked the move against the current when it was their turn. They looked hopefully at Sunsetblossom.
{ @ Ravensong }
Eveningpaw was a little farther down the line than Graypaw and his own brother were, he watched stifling a laugh as his brother crashed into the river, he did do really good on the move though "Good job Codpaw!" The gray and white apprentice called out to his brother with a smile. He turned his attention back to Sunsetbloom, it was his time to shine. Eveningpaw crouched a bit, before pushing off with his back legs. Water splashed as he shot forward, spraying in all directions. He'd done pretty well on the move, with more practice he'd definitely get it.

Eaglepaw stands beside a cat he doesn't know, but stands still after wading into the water. The russet and grey tom's long fur is soaked almost to his chin - his height messed up the progress - and he looks at the other cats.

The giant molly let out a chirp at Ivypaw as she waded through the water to her before giving a sort of playful bat and nod standing still so the apprentice could try the move as much as she wanted. Being as large as she was Sunsetbloom was thankfully at no risk of being crushed by the cats and her long fur made it so she wasnt worried about being poked as the cats climbed her so she just stood there grin in place for the apprentice.

After finishing up with Ivypaw the molly slogged her way over to Frostpaw for her turn. The molly looked to be thinking intently about how to pull this off and Sunsetbloom gave a "Dont worry if you dont get it right right away, you can try as many times as you like~" Before nodding at the apprentice to begin and standing still in front of her.

Honestly even if the move wasnt perfect Sunsetbloom was really honestly proud of Hazelpaw and her purr showed it even as paws collided hard with her belly. It was hard to think on your paws in the heat of battle and it was doubly so when your opponent was so overwhelmingly strong and big compared to you. And shameless in how much the counter move had winded her the maine coon said so. "Nice work Hazelpaw! That was really good for a move you just learned~ If I was an enemy I'd sure be regretting trying a rear on you! Ill stand here for you if you want to try the next move on me, though with how much of a leap you've got there you should have no issue getting on my back! Go ahead~"

Codpaw was a little go getter and the giant molly couldnt be happier for it. Seeing someone so eager was always uplifting and the warrior could see the young toms apprenticeship going quickly as long and whoever his mentor was fostered that drive. Giving a little giggle at the failed first attempt the maine coon nodded at the request to try again giving the advice "It'll be easier with claws to help you grip and less water slicking the way dont worry. It may be harder this way for a beginner but when you pull it off in a real fight this'll make it so its easier for you then. Try again~" The second attempt was better but still not a complete success as the tom managed to jump up to her back before slipping again. To be fair to him practice was always key to mastering a move and this was the first time for a rather complex attack. "You can try once more if you want but good job regardless! Youre showing a real knack for water battle"

Graypaws size wasnt a worry to Sunsetbloom given that she towered over most of her clanmates (Lotusheart Blizzardsky and Junipersong being the exceptions at equal size) and she passed no judgement for their age. After all Sunsetbloom herself had been fully grown when she'd left her twolegs and joined the clan so while she was lucky in her apprenticeship going quickly she'd been older then most in her own time. No the molly simply, just as she done for all the others, walked up to Graypaw and gave a little "Go ahead~" Nodding encouragingly at how their attempts against the current had gone and excited to see how they'd do against a real cat.
~~~~~~~~
It seemed a good attitude ran in the family as Eveningpaw slithered up the large mollys back until she was perched up there like a bird. It'd be harder in real life though not much without the water and to add in a touch of realisim to the apprentice on her back Sunsetbloom shook like a dog trying to throw Eveningpaw off. A real enemy would counter with that in battle trying to shake the climber off or flop on them and crush them so this was fitting. Time to see if the 'paw was thrown or managed to jump off (or hang on) under her own control.
As the warrior padded up to Eaglepaw she gently ushered him a little but more towards the river bank so he could stand easier. It didnt matter if he was not as deep as the others, that he was in the water and deep enough to face the resistance of the river but shallow enough to do the moves was the important thing. So hopefully closer to the bank Sunsetbloom stopped and spoke "Alright that should be good, give it a try on me~"
Ivypaw tried the move out, but failed. "Ugh..." She meowed, annoyed. Waiting for Sunsetbloom to come back around, she dragged a claw across the dirt.
Re: Try me & Ill show you a fang [Rc Warriors & Apprentices]
Graypaw took a shaky breath before nodding, the gray and white apprentice repeated the move, this time directed at the warrior. They crouched, sinking their claws into the sandy river bed before pushing themself towards Sunsetbloom as he'd previously done with the water.
Eveningpaw managed to hold on, at least for the meantime. He quickly went through each possibility, he figured she wasn't likely to drop down and roll into the water, so he decided hanging on would be his best bet right now.
Frostpaw flicked her tail and leapt at Sunsetbloom, her paws moving almost by themselves. She latched into the molly’s back, making sure her claws were unsheathed. She teetered on Sunsetbloom, almost falling. Hold on!
