orrr -- I went ahead and checked with Wingnettle, and their ShadowClan Swimming Event is still open to late-joiners. Which, admittedly, would be easier on both of us, and Wingnettle's Lynxshade has yet to begin actually teaching swimming, so Palepaw wouldn't be missing anything ^^
