^-~Fallowstep~-^-~he/she/they~-^-~37 moons~-^

^-~Been staring at the wall for far too long...~-^

Born to a loner... far from the forest... Fallowstep was born...

As a young kit she was trained by her mother Ash. Ash abused her for being the weakest of her litter.. that was.. until one fatefull night

Swept away from the storms of her past...

When Fallowstep turned 3 moons.. everything changed..

On a dark and stormy night the flood waters had gotten particularly high which wasn't a problem.. until it was.. her family's small cave's dry entrance had given way causing torrents of water to come cascading into the cave.. Fallow felt her small head go under... and It all went dark...

^-~Far too long...~-^

Hours later Fallow woke up feeling warmth wash over her as a warrior named Willowbreeze curled around her.... she was free..

____________________________________________

Despite her traumatic past, Fallowstep thrived under Willowbreeze's care, and soon became an integral part of the Clan. She was fascinated by the stories of the ancestors, and spent hours listening to the elder cats tell tales of great healers born and lost to the seas of time.

^-~Been staring... for too long....~-^
____________________________________________

I really think that Fallowstep would be an amazing option for medicine cat because of her strong interest for herbs and her loyalty to the clans. I'm also willing to buy ANY purrks I need to and um yeah! (the only downside is I can't spell medicine without spell check lol) (I would prefer Med cat though though )

SILENTPAW
MCA Application

ALL ABOUT SILENTPAW
__________________________________
Silentpaw, living up to his name, is incredibly quiet and almost never speaks unless he feels the need to do so. Even then, he will only speak in slow, short sentences, and tends to be a very boring cat to have a conversation with. Not that he minds. Silentpaw is an incredibly anti-social cat and detests any sort of social interaction, always trying his best to avoid any small talk.
Silentpaw tends to seem very emotionless, refusing to show emotions around other cats. He usually wears his usual blank stare he always has on his face. He is really good at hiding his emotions, which doesn't seem like the best thing but he thinks nothing of it. Because of this, it can get difficult to read him, or understand what he's feeling. Oof.

Silentpaw prefers quiet and slow-paced work instead of quick, rushed and aggressive battles and hunts. Though, just because he prefers it doesn't mean he is bad at the other... Hm.

Silentpaw is a silent judge, and everything he thinks about a cat stays in his mind. That isn’t really great, considering he instantly thinks bad about whoever he meets. He is just generally very ill-tempered, but he doesn't really show it. So pretty inconvenient to cats who are dense or are very bad at reading expressions... Or not very self-conscious. Hey, try not to get on his bad side...?

Silentpaw is very responsible and reliable for his fairly young age, always carrying out tasks he is told to do no matter how much he despises doing it. He also tends to pay close attention to details, remembering the smallest of things even after some time has passed. He would never let his emotions get in the way of business. Some things just need to be done, of course.

Though, Silentpaw can be harsh and mean to other cats, often showing distaste towards others and harshly chastising (Without much words, of course) if he finds their behaviour unfair or displeasing. He also tends to be very pessimistic, never seeing the bright side of things and immediately assuming everything will go bad. The only way to get him to believe something will go right? It's sort of complicated. Unless he sees with his own eyes something happen, it isn't likely he would believe it. The only exception? Have someone he trusts tell him in detail. He is not going to trust anyone. Well, unless it's a patrol. He has to trust them anyways.

BACKSTORY
__________________________________
Silentpaw's history isn't the best he could ask for. But it isn't completely tragic, either. Well, it really depends on how you see it. He was born and raised in ShadowClan, and knows of nothing more. He is strictly loyal to his home, his Clan, and would rather rip his own throat out than admit loyalty to another Clan.

He and his sister, Shadepaw(kit) was born to Clovepool and Foggymask. They were... Let's say they were unplanned. Accidents. So even just born, he wasn't wanted. Even worse, as a kit, he began to see the difference. The difference in how his mother treated him and Shadekit. She was the golden child. The perfect example. The future of ShadowClan. While Silentkit, was nothing but another kit in the Nursery, another competition. Another kit for Shadepaw to beat. So he had to live his young life alone, away from a mother's warm embrace. Obviously, that only meant he grew more and more independent each day. He took to avoiding both Shadekit and Clovepool, always figuring things out on his own. Not that Clovepool even minded. He was sure she sometimes forgot he even existed. Typical. Not to mention, Foggymask wasn't even involved in his life until his early apprentice days.
His mother had finally decided to tell them who their father was.

For a few days, Silentpaw considered ignoring him the same way he avoided the rest of his family. So, he did. He steered clear from the tom's path, avoiding eye contact and basically anything to not get involved.

Aaaand, Firepaw happened. The first cat that had managed to make him genuinely smile. The first cat that he had loved. But there was just one thing wrong about her that ruined everything else.
She was a ThunderClanner.
After a few meetings at the Gathering (and borders?!), Silentpaw took a liking to her. Until it all came crashing down on him. He realised how messed up it was. Him? With a ThunderClan cat?! What had gotten into him?!!? So without a word, he began to treat Firepaw the same way he had treated Clovepool and Shadepaw. And lo and behold, Firepaw was devastated. But not Silentpaw. He had to be fine. For StarClan's sake, she's a THUNDERCLANNER! It was a good idea. So then, he was laser-focused on trying to silently redeem himself. Nobody knew of his little friend over at ThunderClan, and nobody at ThunderClan knew of Firepaw's secret, either. He began to show hostility to cats from other Clans. Apparently, it helped. It helped get his mind off of Firepaw, and most importantly, it helped get his tail in gear. He developed a... Hate, let's say... To Outsiders and OtherClanners. ShadowClan above all.

Even after all this fiasco, the avoiding of Foggymask never ceased. Especially after the Enforcer Challenge. It was... Weird to see. Foggymask, his biological father and Shrewstep, his mother's current mate and his adoptive father, fighting for a title among the ranks of ShadowClan. Why he stuck around to watch, he wasn't too sure. But Foggymask was still his father, and his father was never in his life. He never cared.

Then he began to notice it.

The subtle looks that his father always gave him. The protective facade he always seemed to possess near him. How he had saved his life during the rats and snakes battle at Dawning Woods. Foggymask cared about him. And Silentpaw didn't know what to say about it. Finally, after moons of being alone, for not being cared about, there was someone who trusted him. Who cared about him. Who loved him.

But it turns out ShadowClan cats weren't the only cats Foggymask loved. After Foggymask's execution and its announcement at a Clan meeting, Silentpaw was torn. Destroyed. By then, his mother and sister had gone missing. Disappeared, without a trace, and now his father had to go and get himself killed over a stupid RiverClanner?
... And he never got to tell him how much he appreciated him. But now that he's gone, those words would forever remain unsaid. Foggymask would never know. All because he was a coward. All because he couldn't bring himself to say it earlier.

He'd do anything... Anything to achieve his dream. And prove to not only his mother and sister, but more importantly to himself that he can be better and make ShadowClan the respected and high-ranking Clan it deserves to be.

Clovepool [MISSING] - Mother - "She's gone... Just gone. And I don't care. Why should I care? She never cared about me. All I was in her eyes was another competition--another cat for Shadepaw to be better than. Funny how when I was getting my training done left and right, Shadepaw was barely getting started, huh?"

Foggymask [DEAD] - Father - "... Why...?" ("I love you" remains unsaid)

Shrewstep - Adoptive Father - "... He's okay."

Shadepaw [MISSING] - Sister - "She's only getting in my way. She's not just my sister. She's someone I need to fight for our mother's acceptance with. I hate her. She hates me. Case closed."

Owlthroat - Distant Cousin/Kin - "He's... A capable Enforcer. He deserves it. And... He's taught me how to fight, for one. Overall... I respect him."

WHY THIS PATH?
__________________________________
Silentpaw would never admit, but he's always enjoyed herbs. Not just that, he's always looked up to the Medicine Cats of the Clans. He knows what he needs to do in order to become a reliable Medicine Cat. He knows he needs to earn it. He has always respected them for their hard work, and took a liking to the much more slow-paced and patient work they do, instead of the blood-spilling, fur-tearing battle that warriors were thrown into. Not that he didn't think medicine cats couldn't do the same. In fact, he knew the medicine cats could do both. Something a normal warrior couldn't do. Contribute to the Clan with more ways than imagined. And he doesn't just want that respect, that knowledge. He thinks he deserves it.
Just try harder and maybe you'll live up to your mother's expectations. Maybe then you'll be "better" than Shadepaw.
Yes. Yes he can. He can be better. Just because both his mother and sister are gone, doesn't mean he can still reach that goal he'd been so desperately needing.

Is he doing it for his mother? For his sister? For his father? Hell no. He's doing it for his Clan. What his mother wants from him is none of his concern anymore. He's old enough to make his own decisions, and he will, because he can.

He also finds the art of healing very... Well, healing. To himself, to be more specific. It feels like a breath of fresh air, and he can finally feel that calm inside of him that he wants to feel. Constantly. He does well under pressure, and obviously, the pressure and expectations that come with the role of the medicine cat is nothing he isn't familiar with. Somewhat. Even if it isn't, Silentpaw adapts well. He knows he will easily adapt to the harsh expectations and live up to them, not something many cats he know can do.

WHY HIM?
__________________________________
Well, for one, Silentpaw is capable. He isn't afraid to try and do new things, even if it might be harming him in the process. The Clan always comes first, and as long as the Clan benefits from what he does, he would do it in a heartbeat. And when he is doing those things, he knows what he's doing. Teach him one, and he'll know ten.

He's responsible. Despite seeming lazy and uncaring all the time, Silentpaw is constantly helping, and asks for extra training when he feels like he needs it. He's mature, calm, composed, and rational. Just all the traits that a good Medicie Cat needs. He might not always find what he is doing the most necessary, or appealing. But what's good for him or the Clan if he doesn't do it? And so, he does it. Anything. He's hard-working. Once he starts, he's going to complete it. And not just complete it, he's going to complete it to perfection,

He's a reliable cat. Especially with secrets. I mean, it isn't like he's going to go around telling someone's deepest darkest secret! He may not be the best at communicating, but he sure can be trustworthy. Communication is key, they say. Yes, but what they also say is that sometimes silence speaks louder than words. He know what his intentions are and he isn't going to keep that to himself. Well... Non-emotion-wise. He's... Made a habit of keeping his emotions to himself. But! This isn't about his emotions. This is about his capabilities as a Medicine Cat of ShadowClan, out of all Clans! The best Clan one could ever dream of being a part of. They're strong, bursting with sheer power, each and every warrior. They wear the shadows like their second pelt. They're smart. And... Full of cats that taint and ruin the Clan's image. Unfortunately. Someone needs to put a stop to that.

Medicine Cats hold a lot of information. Not just about herbs and healings, about the secrets of the Clan, as well. And like stated previously, Silentpaw is reliable. He'd much rather die by his own claws than spill ShadowClan secrets to other Clans. That's just not going to happen. Ever.
He is attentative, and pays attention to tiny details. And the best part? He remembers them. He will be able to learn and master all the healing remedies and plants without having to need an extended lesson and constant refreshers. Sure, he might not be the best at eventually using those knowledges to teach, but that doesn't mean he won't try. Oh, he'll try of course. There's nothing he can't do, aside from the obvious. Yeah, he isn't a very optimistic cat. In fact, he tends to be more pessimistic than optimistic. But he isn't a self-depreciator either. He doesn't hope he can do great. He doesn't think he can do great. He knows he can do much, much better.

Interesting! The same interview from the last ShadowClan Med Cat applications... Except now with different and better answers!

Q: "Why do you want to be a Medicine Cat Apprentice?"
A: "A Medicine Cat Apprentice? No, you've got it all wrong. I want to be The Medicine Cat Apprentice, known by all for my talent and skill. I may look like the kind of cat who would rather shove someone into a raging fire instead of saving them, but trust me, I'm not that evil.
sigh
Working with herbs and quietly nursing someone back to health has always been my wish. All Clans deserve a Medicine Cat that would not be afraid to protect their Clanmates no matter what. Something I think a lot of younger cats don't understand is that Medicine Cats don't just cower in the corner, magically healing warriors with magical herbs. Medicine Cats are not the pawns of a Clan, they're healers. They're warriors that know more than just claw and bite."

Q: "What do you think the most important trait of a Medicine Cat is?"
A: "Oh boy. Here we go again.
Like I said previously,, Medicine Cats are not the pawns of the Clan. They do not sit back and just simply heal cats. They're the protectors of the Clan. What's a Clan without Medicine Cats? Every cat would just die off without anyone with the knowledge of healing.
Back to the question since you so desperately want an answer from me.
Responisbility. A Medicine Cat has to be responsible in order to successfully protect the Clan. No Clan wants a lazy and unreliable Medicine Cat."

Q: "Do you get along with other cats?"
A: "No."

Q: "What do you think your best trait is, and how will it be useful as a Medicine Cat?"
A: "Oh, I'm definitely responsible. Look, just because I would rather jump off a cliff than collect fresh moss for the Elders' nests doesn't mean I won't do it. I own up to my own mistakes, and I pay attention to details. Not sure myself how those two are related, but I don't care enough to explain.
And like I said before, responsibility is an important trait of a Medicine Cat. And me paying great attention to details also help a lot, I believe, because it's Medicine Cat work. Meticulous and a very slow-paced job. I might complain about the responsibilities like it's torture, but don't listen to me. I don't know what I'm talking about. Trust me."

Q: "Do you have any previous herbal knowledge?"
A: "No."

Q: "Unrelated and uneccessary question: What is your favouite prey?"
A: "If it's uneccessary I won't answer it."

Q: "Why do you want to be a Medicine Cat Apprentice?"
A: "My point still stands. A Medicine Cat is not the pawn of a Clan. They're authority, and the backbone of the Clan, almost. I don't think a lot of younger cats understand that just because they're interested in herbs doesn't mean they automatically have everything it takes to become a Medicine Cat. I understand that. I'm wanting because I know I can be the Medicine Cat... Apprentice... That everyone would look up to and rely on."

Q: "What do you think the most important trait of a Medicine Cat is?"
A: "Responsibility. A Medicine Cat needs to be responsible enough to carry out all their tasks. No Clan wants a lazy Medicine Cat. Like I said. My point still stands."

Q: "Do you get along with other cats?"
A: "... Maybe."

Q: "What do you think your best trait is, and how will it be useful as a Medicine Cat?"
A: "Responsibility. Everything I've said about it previously still stands. It's true."

Q: "Do you have any previous herbal knowledge?"
A: "Yes."

Q: "Unrelated and uneccessary question: What is your favouite prey?"
A: Silentpaw just turns and walks away.

ROLEPLAY EXAMPLES
__________________________________

... It wasn't fair.
Why him?
... Why...?

Silentpaw wouldn't dare step into the Apprentices' Den. It was full of apprentices with so much potential. A painful reminder of what he couldn't be for Foggymask. So instead, he spent his time outside of the warmth of the den, not caring how the biting cold gnawed at him, and his body screamed at him to seek warmth. Anywhere. But he didn't listen to it. He had much better things to do. He curled in tighter around himself, burying his muzzle in his fur, a feeble attempt in trying to comfort himself. And feeble indeed, it was. Nothing he did could spare him from the horrible flashbacks to when he'd heard the announcement, how disgusted Dawnstar had sounded. Vivid imagery of his father dying by the claws of a higher ranking cat. His skin being torn apart. His ears falling deaf without ever being able to hear three precious words from his son.

Silentpaw regretted it.

Tears pricked his eyes as the apprentice shut them tightly, trying his best to even out his breath. Not now. Not here. He couldn't look so pathetic, sulking over a warrior that died as a disgrace to the Clan. He couldn't imagine. Foggymask had been such a respected warrior of ShadowClan, and now... He was no more than a stone at the bottom of a river. But it still hurt. It hurt him that his father had to die a painful and disgraceful death, as much as he hated imagining it. He wanted these thoughts to just get the hell out of his head. His desperately clawed at the ground below, tears threatening to fall over again.

Why? Why why why?

He shouldn't feel so defeated. There was nothing he could have done. Foggymask died a traitor. Silentpaw would be frowned upon on for supporting Foggymask, despite the fact he was their father. And he hated it. He hated it more than anything. He didn't know what to do. The whole world felt like it was tilting and twisting, like it was trying to throw Silentpaw off. Almost like it wanted him to give up.

Perhaps he should.

Silentpaw usually did not show much reaction to the Gathering. Not that he didn't care, of course he did, especially if someone had died. He didn't know much cats, so it was often a surprise, and quite awkward as well, when Dawnstar announced a death. But one thing was always true. He never expressed his sadness, discomfort, anything. Well, until now. As soon as the words "Foggymask" and "executed" come out of Dawnstar's mouth, not to mention in the same sentence, he felt his heart stop. Maybe it did. Maybe he was dead. His ears rung, and whatever Dawnstar said next fell on deaf ears. Foggymask? Dead? Why? How? When? SOMEONE OWED HIM AN EXPLANATION! NOW! How could Foggymask have been executed? How? WHY? What did he do? No. No no no. NO, WHY? Why now? Why when he needed him the most? Why when he was the only member of his family left? Why when he was the only member of his family that actually cared?

Silentpaw sat rigid from where he had been since the beginning of the meeting, not moving even after the Clan had been dismissed. He trembled slightly, vision blurring and pulse quickening dramatically. Why? WHY? WHY DID IT HAVE TO HAPPEN? WHY DID FOGGYMASK GET HIMSELF KILLED?! WHY WOULD HE DO THAT TO HIM?! Foggymask was all he had. With both Clovepool, Shadepaw, hell, even Firepaw gone from ShadowClan without a trace, his father was all he had. Was EVERYTHING he had. He cared about him. He loved him. And Silentpaw'd loved him back. Having nobody else to love, Foggymask might just have been the one cat he would have died for. The one cat that he loved. Silentpaw had always wanted to express his appreciation for Foggymask. To tell him how highly he thought of him, or how much he cared, of how much he loved him. But he was gone now. It's far too late.

His father had to live and die without ever hearing three precious words from his son. And Silentpaw regretted it. He regretted not being able to tell him sooner. He hated himself for being just a damn coward, not being able to say those words to his father, for stars' sake.

It should have been him.

For the first time, Silentpaw let his calm and emotionless facade crack, drawing in on himself, breath coming out in uneven gasps. Tears blurred his vision, and his body shook with the realisation his father was never coming back. He felt as if the ground beneath him had turned to mud, briefly having to catch himself from losing his balance and falling over, mind buzzing with thoughts over thoughts overlapping and clawing and biting at him. He couldn't hear, he couldn't see, he couldn't feel, he couldn't do ANYTHING at this point. Everything was blurring into a large mess of "What the hell is this" and he couldn't even think straight.

Please... Please, for StarClan's sake let this be a dream. This was all a dream. A nightmare. Some sick joke his mind was playing on him. It couldn't believe it. He refused to believe it. Foggymask would never leave him. EVER.

But he had.

NO. He's still out there, dammit! He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead.

...

He is dead. No he's not.

Another day, another great time to injure yourself, it seemed like. Silentpaw shifted to stare at the entrance of the den as a warrior scampered in, blood staining their light fur a deep, disturbing crimson. Great stars, was this warrior always this fidgety? What's gotten into them? [MEDICINE CAT] was out in the territory, more than likely foraging for extra herbs, which left Silentpaw to deal with this mess by himself. Not that he minded. First, he was going to take care of this crazy cat.

"Don't move." He warned, pressing a paw gently to their side. Hopefully they got the hint to stop flapping around like a headless bird and lay down in one of the nests. And thank the stars, they did. When the warrior slowly lowered themselves onto the nest, Silentpaw went straight for the moss, dampening it and soaking up as much blood as he could. He wanted to know how the hell this happened, but questions could wait. He wanted to see what was wrong currently.

After a majority of the blood was washed off, it became much more clear where the wound was. A deep gash across their chest, light-threatening if it was any higher up. Silentpaw wondered how in the name of StarClan they managed to bring this big of an injury to camp and all the way to the Medicine Den without drawing huge attention. It was impressive, but not very healthy now that he thought about it. He poked and prodded at the warrior's limbs, flank, and any other place to see if he could find additional injuries. A few scratches and scrapes here and there, but nothng too major. Nodding to himself and mentally noting where the minor wounds were located, the patched tabby tom turned to rumage through the herb storage.

He liked to keep things tidy. Seeing the herb stash so messy would never sit right with him. So, he always cleaned and organised it. No matter how long it took or how annoying it was. It would never be as bad as looking at something a kit would play in. Okay, where was he... Cobwebs. Cobwebs first. He would have to stop the bleeding on the gash on their chest first. Perhaps a bit of marigold for the smaller wounds. Yeah. That should do. Silentpaw grabbed a stick with a pawful of cobweb and firmly pressed them against the gash as the warrior let out a soft hiss of pain. He quickly turned to the trusty herb storage again, and grabbed a few lavender stalks and shoved them in the injured feline's face. He also brought along a single poppy seed for them (given they were quite smaller than the average warrior), urging them to eat it. Hopefully the seed and nice-smelling flower would help ease the pain and calm them down. Alright. Back to work.

Silentpaw chewed the marigold petals and leaves to a pulp and gently spread them onto the smaller wounds, making sure to cover every single wound while not wasting a whole lot. That would do for now. He took the remainder and mixed it with some goldenrod poultice, having found a few leftover of the said herbs somewhere in the stash. This would do for the wounds... For now. He treated the gash with the handy poultice, calculated gaze carefully scanning the warrior for any signs of discomfort. He found none, thankfully. It seemed like the lavender and poppy seeds helped.

The tabby tortoiseshell quickly put away any messes he'd made (Regrettably, he did make a bit of a mess.), then turned to the warrior with a deadpan gaze.

"You should be good." He assured them with a nod, deadpan expression not shifting in the slightest. Now, for the question he'd been meaning to ask... "What happened."

ABOUT... ME!
__________________________________
Hi there! I'm Star, or Starphobia, as some people may know me as. I've been on WCO since... 2023 (My account says 2021 but ssssshhhh that's nothing important), and I've fallen in love with this site ever since. I absolutely love all the people I've met here, and it's just an overall amazing community. I'm happy to be a part of it!
Since the day I joined, it's basically been my life goal to one day get the role of a High Rank, no matter what it took. I was still fairly new, and didn't know much. So I was a bit too oblivious and demanding for my own liking. But now, I do believe I'm ready! I'm much more mature, much more experienced, et cetera.

Regarding activity, I am... Extremely active. Very, very active, as you could probably tell. I'm active from 7 AM-10/11 PM on weekdays, and even longer on weekends. I'm also very very active on Discord so if anyone wants to chat or reach out to me, that's an option! Faster replies guaranteed since I can actively get notifications from it ^^

I currently have... Way too many characters to count, but they are all active, in case you were wondering! No throwaways or secondary characters for me. I love all my characters very dearly :]
Well,,, maybe,, you could say Silentpaw is sort of my main? So is Icepaw? And Mothflame.. And Canopykit.. And a lot more but,, that's for a later time.

I say I get along with people well, I can be very nice, trust me! Plus, I'm also quick with replies. Not just on WCO, but over texts, calls, etc.... But that's not relevant. I'm responsible, hard-working, and constistent! At least, that's what I believe myself to be... Other people may have different opinions about me and that's fine. I do care about what they say, of course, I'm only human. But I'm not going to let that define who I am. Much like Silentpaw...
I'm fairly experiences with how WCO works, and I've been roleplaying for quite a long time. So I know my basics! And the advanced, too, you could say.

I do like to believe I am very mature. I'm not a little kid, but I'm also not an adult. But I know what's wrong and what's right and if people correct me, I'm not afraid to own up to it and accept the fact that I'm wrong. Now, I'm not trying to list everything I great at, because I'm not a narcissist. I'm human, and I do have some negatives about myself, too. I tend to forget a lot, and I'm often (more than I'd like) scatterbrained. But just a teensy reminder and I'll get right to it! Probably. I have ADHD, so if I don't get a reply out even after you've bumped and I've answered it,,,,, I probably got distracted. Apologies. If it seems to be that way, please please PLEASE do not be afraid to remind me again. I don't care how much you might think you sound annoying, I won't find you annoying. I always appreciate bumps! Don't worry, I don't bite. ^^

I also like lengthy posts! It's not usually I write really short posts, probably one paragraph is the shortest I'll write. But overall, I'm a long post writer! And I put work and dedication into each and every one of my posts, no matter how quick they seem to come! No lazy posts! But, yes, sometimes I need to do a really quick reply on my phone, which results in crappy post. But that's not very likely!

I'm also okay with any topics regarding healing, no matter how disturbing. I know my limits and I know I don't have any /silly
But seriously, I'm completely comfortable and okay with any degree of gore, medical stuff, even death. Anything. I'm very rarely disturbed by stuff like that. And by rarely I mean never.

Silentpaw has been a very important character of mine since very very long ago, even if he was submitted to WCO on September. He was initially submitted on March, but after my hiatus, I decided to completely remake him? Instead of buying the Prison Escape Purrk? For some reason? But regardless, Silentpaw is one of my most cherished and important characters, as well as one of my most fleshed out characters. It would be almost a dream come true for him to take an important role and for me to get a high rank. But! I need to earn it, so that's what I'm planning on doing.

"Do you mean it?"

"Do you mean it?"

"Do you mean it?"

"WHY DON'T YOU MEAN IT?!"

Quietpaw
The Black Queen

You've never seen nothing like it no never in your life
Like going up to heaven and then coming back alive
Let me tell you all about it if the world will so allow it
Oh give me a little time to choose

Quietpaw has had an...eventful life so far, to say the least. One contrary to her namesake, full of shouting, and grief and, most of all, rage. The anger of family disputes had rubbed off on the once Ignorantly cold kit, morphing her into a more hateful and bitter soul. Most of her vulnerability she held in younger years has worn of and is guarded with defensive exterior. The stress of her world changing at every moment has caused her to become burdened by thoughts once sent to the nback of her mind, now she can often be found brooding in a dark corner of camp. However, her determination has strengthened, and she can now push through most challenges that come her way with relentless diligence.

Water babies singing in a lily pool delight
Blue powder monkeys praying in the dead of night

The subject of Quietpaw's faith in Starclan is a complicated one indeed. They never cross her mind much but when they do, the most she does is criticise. Rather than see them as a powerful force of good or ignorant entities, she views them as powerless. The concept of them being wise and guiding baffles her, how can cats suddenly gain those traits just by dying? She views the living as the ones in charge and the spirits as those desperate to be remembered by acting all high and mighty. Though this might be a problem when communicating with Starclan, she'll take a more realisitc approach to problems and won't heavily rely on omens or signs and look at what's in front of her first, then take the best course of action in her eyes.

Here comes the Black Queen poking in the pile
Fi fo the Black Queen marching single file
Take this take that bring them down to size
March to the Black Queen

Despite her seemingly shy nature at first sight, Quietpaw can be quite fierce when provoked. A talent for cruel, mocking sarcasm has always been prominent, cutting into the very being of others, stripping them of their dignity and their confidence mercilessly. Her tongue is her main weapon, catching others off guard with the facade of her namesake. Another thing to add is that Quietpaw lacks fear and will tend to challlenge much larger or experienced cats than herself it she feels somewhat disrespected. Overall, she isn't scared to put others back in line or be particularly nasty if needed. Her authoritative demeanour can be intense sometimes which doesn't make her the best at soothing patient(especially with her lack of empathy as well) but she tends to be able to keep situations under control.

QnA!

Question 1: Roughly, how much medical knowledge do you hold?

"Why do you need to know? Ugh, I'm being forced to do this against my will so I suppose I have to answer you. As a kit I learned the very basics of poisons, death berries and deadly nightshade, yes, both related to death and surprisingly pleasant in appearance. I did recently attend a lesson on herbs but I was too tired to listen to most of it. As for physical injuries? I know that you need to clean any wounds to prevent infection. That's it, now go annoy someone else."

Question 2: How well would you be able to comfort or cooperate with others?

"What sort of question is that? If you're going to interrogate me then at least ask good questions. For comforting, depends whether they are complete rats and what I'm comforting the about. If they are just crying about stepping on a bug of tripping over a rock then I'll tell them to suck it up. What am I, they're mother? I'm not entirely certain about grief but I suppose I could offer...something. I'm pretty good at communicating, I believe. Oh, and cooperating? Same goes for that, is they're assholes then I myself will clamp their maw shut along with idiots. As long as they are responsible, smart and don't have a history of stupidity I'll give them a chance."

Question 3: When faced with a difficult choice, how would you proceed?

"What's with all these vague questions? Honestly, who made you a professional interviewer, because it's obvious no one in their right mind would think you qualify. Again, I need specifics if it was a life and death situation...I'd make sure I choose the right path of action that benefits everyone. I won't make exceptions for a single cat. As harsh as it may sound would you rather sacrifice one or have dozens die? Sometimes it's a choice we have to make"

Nicknames: Jun, J, Juni
Appearance: Black classic tabby with amber eyes
Gender: Cis Male (He/Him)
Sexuality: Demiromantic
Affiliations: Rouge, ShadowClan

PERSONALITY
ENFJ-T (Protaganist)

From 16personalities.com: "As an ENFJ (Protagonist), you possess a unique blend of charisma, empathy, and idealism that sets you apart in any crowd. Your natural ability to inspire and lead others is matched only by your deep-seated desire to make a positive impact on the world around you. You have an uncanny knack for understanding people’s emotions and motivations, often sensing what others need before they even realize it themselves.

Your gift for communication allows you to articulate your visionary ideas with passion and conviction, drawing others into your orbit and motivating them to join your cause. You thrive on meaningful connections and have a remarkable talent for bringing out the best in those around you. However, your idealistic nature can sometimes set you up for disappointment when reality falls short of your lofty expectations."

Overview: Juniperfrost is a generally kind and caring tom. He's been through a lot, but still he manages to be bright and always a shoulder to cry on. If you need a friend, someone to talk to, anything really, he's always there. When he's alone, there's a completely different side of him. He's sad, quiet, and not very outgoing. He hides his true self behind a mask of happiness and outgoingness. He's always ready to put the mask back on and be happy at any moment. But no one knows the real him.

Positive: - Bright / Caring / Outgoing

Neutral: - Quiet / Reserved

Negative - Sad / Lonely / Anxious

THE INTERVIEW

Question/Layout Credit to @/JusticeRabbit (some things changed)

QUESTION 1
'Why do you want to be a medicine cat?'
"ShadowClan is my home. They took me in when nobody else would. They raised and cared for me, and as a medicine cat I could finally repay them. Helping cats like they helped me has always been my dream."

QUESTION 2
'Would you be biased as a medicine cat?'
"Never. A bias could come at the cost of someone's life, and living with the guilt of someone dying because I was biased would be far too crushing. I couldn't imagine someone's blood on my paws."

QUESTION 3
'Would you be active as a medicine cat?'
"I'd be active! Yes. I would always be available to heal someone at anytime. If I had to leave for any reason, I would appoint my apprentice or temporary medicine cat to cover for me while I'm gone."

QUESTION 4
'Would you stay true to the warrior code?'
"Even as a medicine cat, the warrior code is what separates us from rouges. If we abandon it, the Clans would fall apart. Yes, I'd always uphold the code. I made an oath when I was made a warrior, and there's no way I'd break that oath."

QUESTION 5
'would you be honest and truthful?'
"Honesty and truth are my highest standards. Lying could end someone's life, and that would destroy me more than anything."

QUESTION 6
'Would you tell other high ranks and medicine cats of the messages sent by StarClan?'
"Why wouldn't I? StarClan messages are often prophecies and omen's, which could warn us of disasters. Then we could prepare. So yes, always."

QUESTION 7
'would you train an apprentice?'
"Of course. Leaving the Clan without a medicine cat (like it is now) is horrible. We shouldn't not have a medicine cat. Training an apprentice help prevents that."

QUESTION 8
'would you risk one cat to save another?'
"...No. I can't stand the thought of somebody's blood on my paws." again.

QUESTION 9
'would you learn herbs quickly?'
"I would do my best. I've always been quick to memorize and perfect things, especially in my warrior training, so I think I'd be good at that, yeah."

QUESTION 10
'would you ever have a mate?'
"I really can't see myself falling in love, but maybe one day. I'm not sure though."

QUESTION 11
'If a cat had been almost killed, and you found the fur of a clanmate in their claws and pelt, would you say something?'
"I would confront them. If they don't admit it, or deny it, I'll send them to Dawnstar or Mistlewhisker. That'll get it out of them."

QUESTION 12
'if you accidentally fed a cat yew berries or too much of the wrong herb, would you say something about it?'
"I would have to. There's no way I'm letting someone die because of my stupidity."

QUESTION 13
'if a cat were to kill a family member, and then get sick or injured, would you take revenge on them?'
"...My gut says yes. That I should make them pay. But I wouldn't. I'd treat them normally, like they were any other cat."

QUESTION 14
'if you were on an herb patrol, and came across a badger or fox den, what would you do?'
"If I'm alone, I run back to camp, drop off what I gathered, and then get a patrol. If I'm with other cats, I tell them to investigate and prioritize defense. I'll go back to camp to report it and ask for a larger patrol."

QUESTION 15
'if a cat in the med den was attacked by a dog, badger, or fox, would you protect them?'
"At the cost of my life. It's my duty as a member of the Clan. Even if it means joining the ranks of StarClan, I'd do it in a heartbeat to save them."

QUESTION 16
"what if a cat tried to murder you?'
"I'd fight back. If I can, I'll escape. If not, I'll try to restrain them. If worst comes to worst, I'll have to kill them in self defense. They will understand."right?

QUESTION 17
'same question as above, except said cat is the leader?'
"I would have to take one of their lives in self defense, and while they're coming back go tell the deputy. If there is no deputy, I take matters into my own hands. Tell the Clan to capture the leader, and then exile them. I'd then ask StarClan who the next leader should be."

QUESTION 18
'If a cat from another Clan came into the ShadowClan medicine den because it was closer, would you purposefully not treat them as well as you could?'
"No. They're still a cat. Medicine cats have no quarrels with other Clans, for our job is to heal whoever needs healing. If we are at war with the Clan that the cat comes from, that's different. But I'll help them if they are an apprentice, since they have nothing to do with the war. They are young and don't deserve it."

QUESTION 19
'what if you got injured?'
"I treat everyone else first, and then treat myself. Unlike some cats, I am not selfish and put myself first. My Clanmate's safety always comes first, mine second."

QUESTION 20
'If you caught a cat who had murdered someone, and they tried to blackmail you into not saying anything, would you agree?'
"I would agree, so that they don't come after me, then report them. Make them think I'll keep my mouth shut, and then betray them. But they had it coming, didn't they?"

BACKSTORY

KITHOOD
Juniper was born a rouge. His mother, who didn't mean to have kits, abandoned him. A ShadowClan patrol found him and took him in. He was often bullied for being a rouge, and he was alone. Nobody liked him. He sat in a corner and stayed away from the other kits.

APPRENTICESHIP

When Juniperpaw was made an apprentice, he finally felt like he was making friends. Deerstrike (NPC), his mentor, made him feel loved. Deerstrike ended up adopting him. Juniperpaw often surrounded himself and his nest with herbs. Though he didn't know what they did, they smelled good. But one day, when he was 10 moons old, he was on a patrol. With Deerstrike. They were going hunting, when a large black tabby tomcat lept out of the bushes and attacked Deerstrike. He killed him and then turned to Juniperpaw and introduced himself as his father. He claimed he was "protecting him from that vile Clan cat". Juniperpaw snapped that he was a clan cat, and that he wanted nothing to do with him. His father then attacked him, and Juniperpaw fought back. And next thing he knew, his father's dead body was at his paws, blood pouring out of his neck and blood staining Juniperpaw's muzzle. He returned to camp, numb with shock, and said that there was a rouge that killed Deerstrike and he tried to kill him too. Juniperpaw was made a warrior a moon later, but it still haunts him.

ROLEPLAY SCENARIO EXAMPLES

MEDICINE CAT ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE (with juniper)

for this example, I am using npcs

Juniperfrost felt the coppery, sharp tang of blood fill his nose. He looked down and noticed Russetpaw, a new apprentice, laying on the nests with heavy breathing. Alarmed, he grabbed marigold, dock, and some cobwebs from he storage before setting them down. "What happened?" he asked, attempting to stay calm as possible with the scent of blood filling his nose. He listened intently as Russetpaw described going on a patrol with his mentor and running into a fox. His mentor left Russetpaw to fight it on his own. Juni nodded, applying cobwebs to stop the bleeding. He then chewed the marigold into a polituce, gingerly applying it onto the deep gash to stop infection. Juniperfrost pondered if he should add anything else, but decided against it. "I'm going to feel your heart and how fast it's going, ok?" he told the apprentice, who nodded. Putting his paw against Russetpaw's chest, he felt that his heart was beating fast. He grabbed some thyme and poppy seeds. "Eat the thyme first, then take the poppy seeds after, ok? The poppy seeds will make you sleepy. I'll check up on you tomorrow to see how you're doing. Call me if you need me." he said gently, before going to check up on his other patients.

Juniperfrost hurried over and listened intently to Dawnstar. New warriors and new apprentices were always good. He doubted he would get one though, it was highly unlikely that Dawnstar would give him of all cats an apprentice. The dark tabby curled his tail around his paws, noticing Pantherkit sitting alone. That was one of Dawnstar's kits, right? He padded over and sat down next to the fluffy brown tabby. "Hey! I'm Juniperfrost. You're Pantherkit, right?" he asked, greeting the kit warmly. Pantherkit was lucky to have such thick fur. Juni was cold. HIS SHORT FUR HAD BETRAYED HIM.

______________________________
Pinepaw felt his tackle interrupted by a heavy weight. Looking up at who had done this, his fever-ridden brain was confused for a second. Wolfhive? Was he being tackled by Wolfhive's ghost??? But after his eyes managed to focus more, he realized that it was Mountaintalon.

Ew.

Was that a hint of a smile when he saw Wolfhive's dead body? What??? "Get off of me, you big lump!" he growled back at Shockhoney's father. "You should leave me alone. And stop threatening apprentices. What if Bumblestar heard about it? I know she's not a big fan of threatening clanmates." he said, a smirk forming on his bony face. A cough interrupted him, but he managed to stop it before it got out of hand. He ignored the blood oozing out of the wound on his neck, it was being soaked up so who cared.

"Oh. And you know what Bumblestar also hates? Horrible parents. And I'm talking to one right now. You've lied to Shockhoney, manipulated and gaslit her into thinking you were a good father. Guess what, loser, you're not. We can all see right past your lies. Admit it. You're a horrible father and cat. And sometimes I think you've done some horrible things in the past." Ok, that entire thing kind of sounded pathetic. And that last line was really just trying to insult him, not based off of any facts. Even Mountaintalon wouldn't stoop as low as to break the code.

Right?

MY HERBAL RESEARCH

all info from here

Herbs

Alder- Tall tree that grows in boggy, wetland areas. Leaves are simple and serrated (toothed). The bark is dark and often covered in moss. Twigs are spotted and sticky to touch. The bark can be eaten or licked to cure a toothache.

Adder’s Tongue- Found buried in soil, has purple-blotched leaves. Induces vomiting if eaten. Poultice can be applied to swellings and ulcers to treat them.

Beech- Large tree usually with a thick trunk that grows in sandy or chalky soil. Wood is rather smooth and usually somewhat gray in color. Iconic oval leaves with defined straight lines. Leaves are often used to carry medicine supplies. Also can be used as a bowl of sorts. Oil from the nuts can be applied directly to wounds to fight and prevent infection.

Bindweed- A vine-like plant with white, trumpet-like flowers and distinctive arrow-shaped green leaves. Grows almost anywhere like ivy. Vines can be used to tie things, most importantly sticks to broken legs to set the break.

Blackberry- Also called bramble. Very common and grows in most forests. A stout bush characteristically very prickly. Leaves grow in threes and are olive-green with reddish-brown tinged edges. Younger leaves are completely brown-red. Chewing the leaves into a poultice can be applied to bee stings to bring down the pain and swelling.

Bloodroot- Grows in rich open forests. Has a wax-like white flower, a single leaf with a pale underside. The roots are orange-red and smell bitter. Very poisonous.

Borage- Commonly found in gardens and old dwellings. The whole plant is rough with white and prickly hairs. Flowers are blue or purple and star-shaped. Leaves are eaten to stimulate milk in queens. Can also bring down fevers.

Broom- Hardy meadow shrubs with small leaves and tiny yellow flowers that grow upwards in a tall cone. Is used to make poultices for broken bones.

Burdock- Stout plant with large wavy leaves and purple flowers inclosed in a burr. Found in damp areas. Has a very sharp smell and dark leaves. Leaves can be eaten to treat indigestion. A poultice of chewed root is very important in the treatment of rat bites.

Burnet- Small bush that grows in dry meadows. Has multiple oval-shaped leaves on multiple single stalks. In Leaf-Fall and late Green-Leaf, large clusters of small flower buds grow on the top of the plant. It is eaten as a travelling herb to keep a cat’s strength up. Little is known about it.

Catchweed- A very small weed with fuzzy green orbs that grow tiny white flowers on long stems. Found where ever there is a lot of long grass and low vegetation. Burrs are very rarely used to keep poultices in place without irritating the wound or skin.

Catmint- Also known as catnip. Is very rare to find in the wild and can normally only be found in two-leg gardens. Is a very delicious-smelling plant that is low to the ground and possesses small, bumpy, slightly fuzzy leaves. Are eaten to treat Greencough and Whitecough. Collect in the day so the morning dew will be gone and it won’t rot in storage.

Celandine- An uncommon yellow flower with four petals and long pollen-stems. Has a prickly, fuzzy stem. Found in sunny areas of forests or meadows. Nectar is trickled into damaged eyes.

Chamomile- A small, daisy-like white flower with a large and bulbous yellow center. Has a heavy and sweet smell. Only found in two-leg gardens. Blossoms and petals are eaten to strengthen and calm the heart and mind. Also given for strength when traveling.

Chervil- A sweet-smelling plant that is large and very leafy. Has fern-like leaves and small white flowers. Roots are dark brown, gnarled and knoby. Grows in forests among rocky areas. Leaves are chewed and spit out for the juice on infected wounds. They can also be eaten to sooth a bellyache. They also assist in nausea that sometimes occurs when kitting.

Chickweed- A tall, vibrantly green plant with a hard stem and broad, almond-shaped leaves. Sometimes has tiny, five-petaled flowers. Found in forest areas among rocks. Eaten to treat greencough, but is not as strong as catmint.

Cob Nuts- Smooth, brown nut that is a member of the hazelnut family. Found under hazel nut trees. Chewed and made into ointments that would otherwise be too soupy to apply. Also used to attract prey.

Cobwebs- Webs from a spider, normally old or abandoned. Can be best found in dark and secluded areas. Used like a cloth on open wounds to stop bleeding. Applied to recovering wounds to keep medicine in place or protect the wound.

Coltsfoot- Found the most around wet places. Has iconic hoof-shaped green leaves and fluffy yellow flowers that look similar to dandelions. Leaves can be eaten to cure a cough. A good thing to give to kits that are having trouble breathing or have kitcough.

Comfrey- Small, short plant with very large and broad leaves and very tiny, purple, bell-shaped flowers. Found in damp and grassy areas, mostly where there are a lot of dew-filled mornings. Roots are chewed into a poultice. Treats broken bones, soothes open wounds, applied to wrenched or twisted claws. Leaves ease stiffness in shoulders and legs if lined in a nest.

Coneflower- Rich purple flower whose petals are seated in a high cone. Is very sweet smelling and tasting. Grows in northern rugged areas near short pine trees. Roots and leaves eaten to give strength and disease resistance.

Daisy- Small plant with a circular, iconic white flower with many petals and a yellow center. Found nearly everywhere. Dark oval leaves are chewed into a paste to apply to aching joints. Can also be eaten to prevent joint pain when traveling.

Dandelion- A memorable yellow flower with long, weak, hollow stems. A half moon after the weed blooms, the yellow flower turns into a white sphere of minuscule smaller flowers that blow away in the wind. Is extremely, annoyingly common. Liquid within the hollow stems is applied to beestings to help them get better. Leaves can also be eaten to treat pain but taste awful.

Nightshade- An obviously deadly poisonous plant. It is found under the shade of trees, on wooded hills, and will grow very luxuriantly, forming bushy plants that are several feet high when not exposed to a lot of sun. Leaves are dull, darkish green in color and of unequal size. The lower leaves are solitary. They are all oval in shape and begin off of short petioles (leaf stems). Soft, downy hairs may occur on young stems and leaves. The veins of the leaves are prominent on the underside. The leaves both smell and taste awful and bitter. In Leaf-Fall, around the base of the petioles will grow shining black berries about the size of a small cherry. Despite their sickeningly sweet taste, these berries are the most fatal part of the plant.

Deathberries (Yew)- A quite large and poisonous plant. Found in most forests. Identifiable by it’s red and stout, pealing trunk and pine-like leaves. It’s red, pitted berries grow on the stems of the needled leaves and are very poisonous to eat. Are sometimes used to end a suffering or old cat’s life, but only if they ask for them.

Dock- A common, large leafed plant with a tangy, almost sour, smell and taste. Doesn’t grow on mountain-sides but is easy to find in leafy, relatively flat forests.Leaves can be applied in a poultice to reduce swelling, help skin issues, and heal broken or injured pads. Stings quite badly when applied. If placed in nests, can sooth the pains of recent wounds.

Elder- A short-trunked, few-branched tree with corky, furrowed bark. It has feather-like leaves with toothed leaflets that smell horrible when touched. It grows in woodlands that are not too cold and have weak winters. It is most commonly found near rabbit holes and badger sets. Can be used to help treat sprains. However, never eat - they cause a horrible unknown sickness. (Cats wouldn't know, but the leaves and most of the other parts of the plant contain cyanide.)

Fennel- Has very tiny yellow flower clumps on thin stalks. Very thin and spiky leaves. Grows wild in most temperate areas. Easily fond around streams and on the coast. Juice can be consumed for treatment of chronic coughs (Whitecough mostly) and ease the pain of Blackcough. Eating fennel suppresses hunger. Also helps pain in hips.

Feverfew- Composite plant that grows nearly everywhere, but most commonly near water. Has numerous, small, daisy-like heads of yellow flowers with outer white rays. Leaves are broad and downy. Most commonly eaten to sooth a fever. Also eaten to treat coughs, colds, wheezing, and difficult breathing. Can help with colic. Is very bitter.

Foxglove- A flower that is long and bellshaped. Is pink and hollow. Grows in temperate regions. Tiny black seeds can cause paralysis and heart failure, but in small quantities can treat heart problems.

Goldenrod- Grows on moors. Is a tall plant with clumps of bright, tiny yellow flowers and narrow, pointy leaves. Chewed into a poultice and applied to wounds. Considered the best herb for speeding up the healing of wounds and treating them in general. However is rarely found in forests or mountainsides.

Heather- A common moor plant known for its purple or grayish-purple, tiny clumps of sweet flowers on stalks. Is sometimes used in mixtures to make them easier to eat with their sweetness.

Holly- Plant with shiny, dark green, spiky-edged leaves and plump red berries. Found almost anywhere woody. Berries are very poisonous.

Honey- Golden and sticky liquid made by bees and found in their hives. Taken with bitter herbs to get them down easier. Mixed with some poultices to make them hold to wounds easier. Can be given to kits without someone to suckle from as a nutrient substitute. Is very good for smoke-damaged throats. Also gives energy.

Horsetail- Found in temperate northern regions. Fernlike in appearance with fronds that resemble pine fronds with its needle-like leaves. A decoction applied directly to a wound will help stop the bleeding and promotes a faster healing. Also can reduce eye swelling.

Ivy- Found in vines growing on trees, cliffs, and rocks. Has green leaves with white edges and a half-star shape. Vines still growing on a wall or tree-trunk be used to store herbs.

Juniper Berries- Dark-green bush that grows in areas that aren’t wet. Has very spiky leaves and clumps of purple or blue berries. Berries are eaten to sooth bellyaches. Can be used to give strength and calm cats. Tastes sweet.

Knotgrass- A very common weed found relatively anywhere. The stems can grow up to six feet in length, with leaves that alternate and are stalkless. Leaves are narrow and oval. Roots are very strong and branching. A tonic can be made out of knotgrass to treat diarrhea. It can be directly administered to kill worms and fleas.

Labrador Tea- Found in taiga and mountainous biomes. It is a shrub that grows to a height of four to five feet with irregular and wooly branches. Leaves are alternate and elliptical or oblong. The upperside of the leaves are smooth and the underside is woolly, edges are rolled back. Bees are greatly attracted to the large, white, five-petaled flower clusters. It can be made into a poultice and rubbed on the chest and neck to treat coughs and chest infections. Tastes and smells spicy, slightly like mint.

Lamb’s Ear- A small, very soft, fuzzy whitish-green plant. Fuzzy leaves resemble sheep ears. Very common on mountains. Eaten to give strength.

Lavender- Found in two-leg gardens and near thunderpaths. A grassy bush with tall clumps of small purple flowers. Has a sweet and calming scent. Cures fever and chills if placed in a cat’s nest and inhaled constantly. Also placed on the bodies of the dead to hide the scent of death, especially at burial.

Mallow- A short plant with fuzzy, three-pointed leaves that are somewhat bumpy. Sweet-smelling purple flowers with narrow, heart-shaped petals. Grows best near the seashore. Only harvest at sunhigh when they are dry for they rot easily. Eaten to sooth bellyaches.

Marigold- Found in wet meadows and along streams. Showy dark-green plant with a very large buttercup, usually red or yellow. Infusion of flowers prevent seizures. Poultice can be applied to wounds to prevent and fight infection. Can also be used for inflamed joints.

Mint- Low-growing plant with downy and serrated leaves. Leaves can be anywhere from green to purple to yellow but keep their white fuzz. Very sharp, minty smell and taste. Found anywhere that is wooded and rugged. Rubbed on a dead body to hide the scent of death. Also can be eaten with food or rubbed on a queen’s belly when her kits are having trouble suckling.

Mouse Bile- Stomach bile taken from a dead mouse. Used to remove ticks and fleas from pelts.

Oak Leaves- Dry leaves are taken from the forest floor. Best found in Leaf-Fall. Poultice chewed and applied thickly on wounds to stop infection from spreading.

Oleander- A lesser known poisonous flower. All parts are toxic to most animals, including cats. It is a shrub that can grow up to twelve feet high with wide, white, red, or pink roselike blossoms. Leaves are thin and waxy. It thrives in hot or sunny places.

Parsley- Found in moist soils that have a lot of sun. Grows low to the ground. Leaves are broad and crinkly and have ragged edges. Has tiny clumps of five to eight white or yellow flowers on a branching stalk. Generally has little use in most mammals but can stop milk flow in some queens. Is poisonous to birds.

Poison Ivy- A very powerful irritant that causes horrible, itchy skin lesions and can cause fur loss. Widely distributed in dark parts of forests. Roots are reddish and branching. Leaves are rather large and three-parted. The central leaflet is the longest and the lateral ones are almost stalkless. When dry the leaves are papery and brittle, sometimes with black spots. Plant grows low to the ground. It can be ingested for a nervous system sedative (temporary paralysis), but causes irritation and delirium.

Poppy- Common field flower that is a rich scarlet color. Seeds are eaten in small quantities for relaxation and as a sleep aid. Too many too often can cause addiction.

Ragwort- Tall shrubs with yellow flowers. Leaves are tiny but numerous. Always tastes rotten. Found in cool areas that get a lot of rainfall. Applied in a poultice to treat aching joints and keep the joints’ strength up.

Ragweed- Commonly found in the mountains among mountain rocks. Is a ragged-leaved plant that looks similar to a fern. Eaten for strength and energy.

Raspberry- Looks very similar to a Blackberry (or Bramble) bush, but leaves are soft to the touch with sharp toothed edges. Has red berries that look exactly like blackberries. Leaves are given to queens to stop bleeding during kitting. Berries can be used to coax out prey.

Rosemary- Tall, needled bush with small, light-purple flowers. Found relatively anywhere that is dry. Put on a dead cat to hide their scent, especially at burial. It is seen as a bad omen to smell rosemary when there is none around.

Rush- Long, very very thin leaved plant with dark reddish-purple heads on its stalks. Grows in soils that don’t seem to grow anything else. Hard stalks are used to bind broken bones.

Snakeroot- Best treatment for poison, especially from snake bites. Is a short-growing plant with numerous, very tiny white flowers in clusters and pointy and narrow green leaves. Chewed and applied directly to snake bites.

Saffron- Grows in meadows and forest clearings only in Green-Leaf. Low plant with grass-like leaves and lily-shaped pink flowers. Parts of plant eaten before and/or after kitting to prevent or stop heavy bleeding respectively.

Sage- Generally grows about a foot high and has wiry stems. Leaves are in pairs up the stem and are oblong with rounded ends. They have prominent veins. Flowers grow only in late GreenLeaf and are in whorls, purplish and lipped. All parts have a strong herbal odor and have a warm, bitter taste. Most commonly found in forests near the coast. Drinking a tonic of water and crushed sage can soothe the throat. Fresh leaves can be rubbed on teeth to strengthen them in elders.

Sorrel- Tall plant with arrow-shaped leaves. Tiny round red flowers on a stalk. Roots and leaves used to help with heavy bleeding. Grows pretty much anywhere. Is also used to give appetite.

Stick- A thin twig usually found on the ground. Given to cats in pain to bite on to keep them from crying out too much. Also used in binding broken bones.

Sticklewort- A woody root with black stem, some spikes, and small flowers and leaflets. Found in dry thickets in fields. When mixed in a tonic of water and honey, can be ingested to fix the worst stomachaches and, surprisingly, snake bites (if taken immediately).

Stinging Nettle- A strange-looking bushy plant with yellow-green, long, and toothed leaves. Is most distinguished from its strange strings of very tiny bulbs. Has tall, hard, brown or green stems. Leaves and steps can be covered in hairs that are either soft or spiky. Found all over forests, and most common in moist fields. Seeds are eaten by a cat to induce vomiting. Seeds and leaves can also be chewed and applied to swelling areas. Can be mixed with comfrey to help heal broken bones. Stems also help with infection.

Sweet Sadge- Thick, reed-like stem with long corn-like buds at the top. Grows only in Leaf-Bare. Most common near rivers or streams. Sap is swallowed to ease internal infections.

Tansy- Vertical and leafy stem, very tall. In leaf-Fall, yellow flowers grow described as round and flat ‘buttons’. Can generally grow anywhere in a wood. Poultice applied to sprains and swelling.

Tormentil- A small yellow flower with tiny stems and a strong aromatic smell. Found in most cool or even cold areas. Poultices can be applied to all wounds and even snake bites.

Thyme- Commonly found in twoleg gardens, old dwellings, or at the base of rotted trees. Has very small, narrow and elliptical, dark leaves. Small, pink stemmed buds grow out of the topmost leaves. Thyme is generally combined with other herbs. Alone can be eaten to treat headaches and toothaches.

Valerian- Stout plant with thin leaves and fluffy purple flowers on a thin stalk. Found on mountains in cool but not cold areas with open skies. Roots are eaten to calm nerves, dull pain, and promote sleep. Seen as a stronger poppy seed (read tranquilizer) because body actually becomes numb and weak from consumption. Leaf juice can be rubbed on claws.

Water Hemlock- Grows in wet and marshy areas and occasionally partly submerged in water. Has thin, jagged-edged leaves. Tiny green or white flowers grow in umbrella-shaped clusters. Causes pain, writhing, and foaming at the mouth (seizures).

Watermint- A green and leafy plant with small purple flowers that grow in a sphere. Eaten to ease a bellyache. Found in streams or very damp soil.

Wild Cherry- A large tree that produces white, pink, and (very rarely) red blossoms. Also referred to as sakura. Bark is very dark and reddish, nearly black. The cherries are about the size of a pea and are glossy and sweet. A tonic made of bark can be used as a sedative and is a surprising treatment to Greencough.

Wild Garlic- Strong smelling, grass-like plant with white, round roots. Found at forest entrances. Rolling in it can disguise scent. Can be chewed after vomiting to get rid of bad breath. Can be applied to bites or scratches to prevent infection, especially those from rats.

Willow- Tall and thin tree with long, curtain-like strands of multiple narrow leaves and flowers, usually brown, light green, or white. Bark can be chewed to ease pain or bit on when in pain like a stick. Willow leaves can be eaten to stop vomiting.

Wintergreen- Very similar in appearance to holly. Has small, dark green leaves and tiny red berries. Was thought to treat wounds and poisons but should be avoided because of looking so similar to holly.

Witch Hazel- Found in the Northern East of most continents. Looks similar to an apple tree but much smaller. Has smooth gray bark, oval leaves with prominent veins and slightly wrinkled. The leaves fall off in Leaf Fall but small yellow flowers appear at that time. A poultice heavy in water with a slight oil content from the plant can be applied to wounded eyes to help treat them. A poultice made of both crushed seeds and leaves can be applied to the most painful of swellings to sooth them.

Yarrow- Grows pretty much everywhere. Stem is hard and long. Small white flowers grow in clumps. Eating any part of the plant fresh induces vomiting. Dry yarrow eaten in small quantities has been known to open bloodflow (when bitten by snake or in shock) and to help with colds.

Techniques

- Gently nipping or poking a cat’s spine is done to see if the backbone is broken. Can also be done on the tail or legs to see if they are broken as well.

- Licking a cat’s fur is done to help clean wounds, calm a cat in shock or grieving, or warm a cat that is extremely cold. Normally kits’ fur is licked the wrong way at birth to help them start to breath and warm them.

- Herbs such as mint and lavender are placed on the dead before burial to hide their death-scent.

- Using honey, plants such as berries or mint, or prey’s blood can be used to make herbs easier to eat.

- Holding a swelling wound in cold water helps soothe and heal the swelling. Cats can also soothe scraped pads by soaking them in water.

- Soaking moss in water should be used to cool feverish cats or provide for those that are too weak to get their own water.

- Telling a cat to yowl, wail, or yell loudly can sometimes clear their lungs and chest of mucus.

- Patting a descended belly while your ear is pressed up against it can determine if a patient is pregnant, has worms, or is bloated, depending on the sound and feel of the belly. Belly will be hard and sound like distant rushing water if pregnant, will sound dull and have a painful give to it if it is worms, and will sound bubbly if bloated.

- Swimming is great therapy for cats with weak muscles or bones. Also helps elders with inflamed joints or muscles.

- When removing a burr or torn claw, do not pull directly upwards but instead at an angle. This limits pain and makes it slightly easier to remove.

- If any herbs are wet, leave them in the sun to dry. It is best not to harvest herbs in morning or right after a lot of rain. Wet herbs will rot.

- Never completely deplete a herb where it grows so it can grow more later, unless the clan is truly desperate and/or you are positive there is another supply somewhere.

- Berries that are poisonous such as holly and yew berries can be used to kill predators, but can also be used to kill a suffering cat ONLY if they ask for them and you know there is not much else you can do to treat them.

- Its not always best to gather fresh herbs directly when stock of one gets low. Leaving camp too often in search of herbs is inadvisable. Instead, try to plan herb gathering trips when there are three or so piles getting low. Never wait too long however.

- Never give a pregnant cat more than three herbs during their kitting or poppy seeds (as they may become too sedated or sleepy to push). Some herbs and herb combinations will cause them to bleed more or prolong the kitting. Choose which herbs you give to a kitting queen wisely, or give none if it is not truly necessary.

-Vomiting should be induced immediately when it has been found that a cat has eaten something poisonous. Very rarely, this will also be done when a cat has a severe bellyache.

Illnesses

Kitcough- An uncommon illness effecting weak kits. Usually happens to kits that had a difficult birth or did not start breathing right away. Identified by a harsh cough that weakens the kit. Usually harmless but very persistent and can lead to weak lungs.

Whitecough- Synonymous to a cold. Characterized by a running nose and eyes and a lasting slight cough. If left untreated, it can turn into Greencough.

Greencough- Similar to the flu. Symptoms include a running nose and eyes, chest pain, slight trouble breathing, a wet and loud cough that produces mucous, and tiredness. Sometimes causes a really bad fever. Can cause death if left untreated.

Blackcough- A horrible but rare disease that can come from nowhere. There is no known cure, only ways to help cope with it. It almost always results in death. It is unlike Whitecough or Greencough and does not come from those illnesses. It begins with chills and a cough with a lack of appetite. Weakness, dizziness, and nausea then ensue along with a worsening cough that results in blackish blood being hacked up. Wheezing and difficulty breathing are the worst part and normally are what kills the ill. It is believed that blood that is coughed up can cause Blackcough in any that touch it. Not formally featured in the Warriors series.

Shock (Emotional)- Can sometimes happen when great trauma has just occurred to an individual. Characterized by a lack of emotion or empathy, denial, ceasing to communicate, and rocking back and forth. Treat with poppy seeds, comfort, and, in extreme cases, valerian.

Shock (Physical)- Occurs due to blood loss and/or extreme pain. Characterized by chills, numbness, rapid heartbeat, low blood pressure (not that cats can really check that), and weakness. Is life-threatening because poor blood supply and breathing can lead to cardiac arrest or cellular damage (again, cats wouldn’t know the science behind it but they can know that it kills at least.) Treat by giving water, honey, and small quantities of dry yarrow. Cover and treat any bleeding wounds or broken bones.

Smoke Inhalation- Is caused by the obvious: breathing in smoke. Severity is determined based on the amount of coughing, if wheezing and nausea are present, and listening to victim's chest.

Cloudmouth- Or rabies as it's known in real life. It is to be noted that, as of now, rabies has not been featured in the Warriors books. Credit to the name goes to Darknesque. Cloudmouth is very contagious, spread from the mere bite, scratch, or saliva contact of someone infected. Depending on what stage the infected animal is at when they come in contact with the victim, Cloudmouth can have no symptoms until two weeks to a year after the contamination. Characteristics of this disease include a distinct fear of water, inability to swallow, sleep, drink, or eat, mania, foaming at the mouth (to which the disease is named), paranoia, rage, and, three days to a week after symptoms show, always results in death. There is no treatment as of now. Infected cats should be heavily and carefully sedated and sadly left to die outside of clan territory for the safety of the rest of the clan. If cleared by the clan leader, feeding deathberries to cats with Cloudmouth may be a dire action to take. Those suspected to be infected that still have their sanity should always be asked if they want this option.

Dear ???,

What have I done?

I just killed someone. My own father.

The blood spattered the floor, the leaves, my paws, my muzzle.

Am I really worth... anything?

A murderer. I'm a murderer. Nobody will ever love me again. Not like they loved me before.

I'll be alone. My real father is dead.

My other one killed by his paws.

At this rate, I should just kill myself. I don't deserve to live when someone is dead because of me.

Nobody would care. Nobody would notice.

I'm worthless.

Maybe you would care for me? Maybe you would notice my cold, stiff body while wandering?

No. You never cared for me. I'm your son. But you abandoned me.

I deserve it.

I should be dead. I should have died in his place. And I wish I had.

It would be better if I was dead.

Would you love me if I was dead?

love(?), your disappoint, murderer son

First off, I want to clarify my activity. This is copy and pasted from another finder, but it's true and honestly I don't feel like writing it again LMAO

Hello! It's me, jay, your local trans mess. I think I should be picked because I personally believe I am a very good roleplayer. While my posts aren't super long, I'm proud of my roleplaying style! And I'm working on that.

I'm on very often (9/10 times you check online users I'm there :3) and I really enjoy roleplaying! Obviously why else would I be here To get me to quit WCO, you would have to smash every electronic I access it on to bits (please don't do that mom), and I would still find a way. Yeah, I won't leave this site until it goes down. And then some. Things that would make some want to leave makes me want to stay even more. WCO is my home away from home but on a computer.

Also, if Juni is picked as the medicine cat, I would love if @/Rowan's Darkpaw or @/iliri's Sootpaw was his apprentice. Love ya Rowan and iliri <333 /pos

And finally. Probably the most important.
I know I've been banned from chatbox, and even from the site multiple times. I know I'm not role model material, and probably not the best candidate for this (in that aspect). But I swear, I'm trying to change. My past may always haunt me, my past mistakes lurking. But I've learned from my experiences. Mistakes make you stronger, yeah. And it's true. I want to be a better person. I want to be someone that people can look up to. I want to be important. I always seem to fall short of my goals, but I feel like I'm right there with this one. My fingers are just brushing this position, but then i get knocked down and have to climb all the way back up. I want to reach this one goal. Even if it costs me a little bit (ok, maybe a lot) of my sanity, it would make me feel like I'm not a failure, that I can be useful and cool. I'm not going for pity points here, I'm just spewing out my thoughts.

With that rant over...

Good luck to everyone!

Name : pineclould
Description: A white fluffy she-cat with golden tabby patches with warm brown eyes
Moons old: 87 moons old
Gender : female ( pronouns: she/her/them/they)
Personality: she is sweet, silly, thoughtful (exp. If just met you , she politely greet you but you’re her friend, she’ll feel comfortable making jokes around you, but she think what to say, before talking to someone important.)
Skills:
Herd knowledge:
poppy: a dark red flower circular petals, with an even darker red in middle almost or is black. It helps for cats in shock or pain - for example, cat in shock after losing a loved one, you can give them , some poppy seeds but no more than 2 poppy seeds or could get worse and same thing when cat is pain from injuries or sickness.

Blackberries leaves : blackberries leaves are also circular but they are part of bush full berries called Blackberries, we only want the leaves and good for bee stings- for example, when a cat stung by bee , you’ll roll up blackberries leaves on sting spot on the cat , this well reduced burning and swelling of bee sting which eventually gets rid of bee sting.

Daisy leaves : you can find Dasiy leaves from a Dasiy, a white flower with stem and leaves , we want the leaves, so we can chew it into a paste to put on joint pains and back pain, to get rid of the pain and to ease it down.

Cobwebs : a beautiful design done by spiders, we roll it up and put on a wound to stop it from stopping bleeding, really helpful on huge wounds!

Fighting skills: below average, she felt bad hurting a cat, even if they hurt her , she only slightly gotten better due to experience.

Hunting skills: above average, as said , she loves helping cats, and she believes helping her clan-mates by hunting to them well-fed.(especially elders and kits.)

Reasons to become medicine cat : she cared about her clan mates, would love healing her hurt clan-mates, as I said she is sweet , so, worry about sick cat or kittens and take seriously, wil try her best to heal them, so they will get better. She, also try not cause a worry by telling little jokes to her patients to clam them down while she prepares the politics for their wound, checking up on them, sickness.

Fears: she has really bad phobia of foxes, this due her sneaking out of camp while she was a carefree kit ,and saw fox killed a clan-mate and barely got away back camp, regretting sneaking out of camp and cried about to her mom for moons and her sister when they were appreciates went about camp for lone training got killed by a fox.(it was her coldsong dad, btw)

Family:
Mother: flamewhistle (died to old age) a medium furred ginger and black Tori she-cat with brown eyes
Father: coldcloud(died to foxes!) a small white Tom with blue Gary patches and dark blue eyes
Sister: sweetpaw (died to foxes!) a small blue-Gary and pale ginger calico she-cat with yellow eyes

This cat never had kits or a mate.

Likes: she likes to smell the Flowers and just have walk in nature and enjoy the nature itself, telling stories, helping her clan-mates.
Dislike: foxes, dark forest, she tends to annoyed by thorns.
