Gullpaw gave a small shrug of her stories,” No one even cares about me. My mother, abandoned me for being the medicine cat, all my littermates died from being weak at under a moon except my brother. Who was sick at 2 moons old, and Coyotesnarl decided to kill him because he believed he’d be miserable, poor Fizzletwist was young, he didn’t get to decide if he wanted to live with his health condition or not. My mentor is ditching me for kits that she’s going to have and her mate. Then I’ll have some mentor who just gets me through my work then ditches me as soon as I get my warrior name, no one cares about me, I’m just a waste of space and prey.” she muttered giving a long sigh.

Ashfeather curled her skinny body - the belly still bulged a bit from the time when she had been pregnant with them - around her two remaining kits, Whitekit and Ravenkit. What would she tell Flameclaw once he found out that they had lost one of the kits? A pang of grief ran through her as she looked down at the two kits. One was black-and-white, similar to her mother, while the other was black, gray, and golden. A bit odd-looking, but nothing too bad. Two wonderful she-kits, she thought. The gift of life was always the best thing. Sometimes, she wondered nervously why Dogkit had died. Was it the kitting? Or... or was it me? The thought made her feel sick. She had been born deformed, so had she influenced this? Shaking her head, Ashfeather told herself that she had to stop being such a featherbrain. She loved these kits, and she knew that Flameclaw would, too. Once he had the time to. After all, being a camp-guard made him busy.


( @BerryBranch, mentioning you to ask if Flameclaw is dead or if you ended up giving him away. Also, if it turns out that ~RooRoo~ really did leave WCO, then she might lose another kit. Oh boy, this is falling apart XD but hey, it’s some good tragedy to add onto her story.)

The same story she told when she'd been at the outskirts and Shockholly tried to get her back home.
"I care about you, Gullpaw. I came for you when you had left for the outskirts, remember? I've been there, feeling like no one cared for me. I know what it's like and I.... I eventually moved past. It gets better, even if it takes a while. I'll be here for you, I'll walk with you through this as long as you need me to."
It hurt them to see Gullpaw in such a spot in life. They remembered how miserable they felt when Moorpaw was found dead, the last cat who even somewhat acted like they cared.
They'd stay there for her as long as she needed, even if it was seasons. They hadn't had anyone there for them and it had taken over 10 moons for them to feel.... somewhat ok.

Deadkit was beginning to see a bit of sense from this conversation, although she wasn't entirely convinced this cat wasn't 40 moons old or something with how many sayings they had. Still, she wasn't going to turn down the admittedly half way intelligent bits because the giver was......fairly cringy to say the least, unless they were ancient. But she couldn't bring herself to JUST it at face value, instead asking I've never met that sort of cat. The cat that do anything to save you. It didn't really make sense to her, that such a cat would exist. It had always been her nature to look out for number one, since no one else was. It sounded appealing, but was it actually true? @Saltyteardrops

Sparkfrost emerged from the warrior’s den, cyan eyes bright and attentive. The skilled young warrior had hardly slept, attempting to decide on the best way to introduce his apprentice to training.

"Their size. Even though they're smaller than cats, rabbits are large and strong enough to escape your grasp once you've caught them." Nightpaw, being very fast and tall, wasn't very strong. His paws were small and delicate, not very suitable for gripping prey.

Emberpaw was asleep in her new den. It was soooo much warmer than her old den. Her new name was called, waking her from a deep sleep. She popped up excitedly and launched out of the apprentice's den, nearly colliding with her mentor. Her ear was still folded in and there was moss on her tail but she didn't notice. "Hi!" She bounced excitedly. "What are we doing today?" she asked, eyes bright. "I'm so excited to learn things," she continued, not giving him a chance to respond as she continued on. "Are we going to hunt? Or fight? Or patrol?" She didn't care, as long as got to explore!

Shockholly leaned into Gullpaw, tail coming around to wrap against her.
"It's a start, ain't it? I'll make them see you."
They doubted that no one else would miss her. Didn't she have a friend or two? Surely they would miss her?
It didn't matter, though. Gullpaw was convinced no one cared, and they had to work to make her feel seen, cared for. And by the stars and moon, if it took the rest of their earthly life, they'd do it.
