Her yellow eyes flickered to another cat. A tom. She blinked at him, as he introduced himself.
''Oh, hi, Martenthorn,'' she mused, sadly. Then, she noticed her expression, and quickly changed it to something more...preppy. She did not want her fellow clanmates to notice her depression. ''I'm not distressed at all!'' She exclaimed, a hint of worried appeared in her voice. She quickly laughed this off, and looked away from the eyes of the tom. She noticed that she wasn't in the right nest. And, she again, peered at him, her eyes widen. ''I am so so so sorry! Is this your nest?'' She asked, quickly getting up. ''I'm a bit of a nutcase! I was just so tired...and the nest was comfortable for a nap.'' But, not sweet dreams...
She hopped out the nest, trying to fix up with what she messed up. ''Sorry about this...''She tilted her head, ''Ma...Martenthorn.'' She nodded, hoping she remembered his name, correctly. Where is my head today!?
Featherspeckle hung her head low to avoid the look in the warrior's eyes, and she padded a few distances from him. She stopped in her tracks, and glanced back at him. With a sigh of relieve, and mustering the best smile she could offer, she said, ''I'm Featherspeckle, by the way.'' She trotted outside the warrior's den, and sat down, her tail curled around her paws, and she closed her eyes, breathing calmly.
The Abyssinian narrowed his hues at Featherspeckle's sudden change of voice, but ignored it as best he could. After all, it was none of his business if something personal was going on in her life and she didn't want him to know about it. "Sorry. I-I didn't mean to disturb you." He mewed in a calmer, more collected tone of voice. The tom cleared his throat and shifted his weight uncomfortably, as he became very interested in the ground of the nursery. And, truth be told, it was rather dirty...he had never quite noticed that before, which was one good thing about this. It was allowing him to notice new things. The tom cleared his throat and looked back up at the she cat curiously as she spoke once more, this time definitely sounding somewhat distressed. For a moment he didn't say anything, absorbed in his thoughts, and then his eyes widened. "What? No! I mean, uh- n-no, th-that one next to it is mine," He mewed, flicking his tail towards a somewhat untidy looking, but cozy little nest that was next to the one Featherspeckle had been in and smiling a little fondly at it. He had some good memories of that nest. After all, it wasn't every cat who had the opportunity-- or privilege, rather-- to stay in the Warriors' Den for a while. But Martenthorn, not having an apprentice, got to hang around Camp quite a bit more...once he was done hunting and doing other things like that, that was.

"Don't-- don't, uh, worry about it. I'm sure no one will notice." He mewed, glancing at the somewhat tidier nest. He couldn't remember who it belonged to. They were never there, whoever it was...so Martenthorn seriously doubted that it was a bad thing that the she cat had been in their nest. They wouldn't care, whoever it was. "Featherspeckle? It's nice to meet you, I'm Martenthorn--" He cut himself off and became very interested in the ground once more. He was somewhat used to making a fool of himself, but this was just plain embarrassing... not to mention that he was annoyed about having acted so strangely upon first seeing her. "Sorry, I've already introduced myself, haven't I? It's, uh...sort of a bad habit of mine," He mewed, the tip of his tail twitching anxiously as he did so. After another moment's silence, when he noticed the she cat starting to walk away, his hues widened and his mind began to race. He didn't want her to leave! Not now, when he was just getting to know her-- okay, so maybe it would have been nice to be alone. But she didn't look happy, and Martenthorn wanted to fix that. "Hey, wait! Uh-- Featherspeckle! I was, um, thinking you might, uh...maybe we could go hunting? Sort of get to know each other better?" The tom asked with a slightly nervous expression as he did so.

Featherspeckle's ears perked as she heard him. ''Oh, I thought...that was your nest.'' Where is my mind today? Well, isn't this embarrassing! She quickly brushed this off, and glanced her eyes back at the Abyssinian. She noticed his uncomfortable posture, and the multi-colored she-cat took a few steps back into the warrior's den, approaching him, her eyes peered into his, as she answered. At first, she only stared at him, unable to find any words. Her mind shadowed her voice, and she thought desperately of trying to find a way to be alone. She also wanted to stay in his company. He's maybe not that bad...she thought. She wanted a friend. She needed a friend. Her ears flattened as she continued to look up at him. ''I suppose hunting and getting to know each other doesn't sound so bad.'' She chose her words carefully, and turned around, flicking her tail at him. ''I want to see some of your hunting skills. You seem like a swifty type.'' She mewed, and trotted away. She silently nodded to herself. She had to keep reminding herself to keep her head on straight, and glancing back at the abyssinian once again, she hoped that he would be the answers to keeping her head on straight. ''Maybe having a friend to stand by will get me through the storm.'' She whispered, quietly. And, turning back with a smile and spark in her eyes, she stared at him, attentively.

But the Siamese was easily shaken out of her thoughts by listening to the next question. "No, we're in the nursery." Her tail flicked around, pointing to the various petite bundles of fur. "Umm, I haven't been to the warrior's den before, but I think larger cats sleep there." She was proud to point out this piece of information.

Falconkit still didn't realize that Moonfeather was blind- she was too innocent to know that the loss of vision even existed.
"Uh.. Sure! You can go to the warriors den if you want to!" Moonfeather couldn't figure out how the kit expected her to know where she was compared to the camp layout.

Default Re: ThunderClan Apprentices' Den

A tiger striped young tom padded into the apprentices den after a long run. He sat at the mouth of the den, regaining the strength he had lost from that activity. Though it was surprising since he was agile, and a fast runner. But, instead of running on flatlands, he decided to run across hills, testing his limits. He finally got back before anyone noticed he was gone, and he decided to take a few minutes to relax. He sighed deeply, and plopped to his stomach, rolling over onto his back, so that he faced the sky. His ears perked, when he heard light snores inside the apprentices den. Who could possibly be still in there at this time of day?
This made him roll over onto his stomach, and from what he could make out was a small marbled-colored she-cat laying on a moss nest. He knew this was his friend, Fairypaw. ''She should had been up by now.'' He rolled his eyes, and rolled back onto his back. He did not care for how long she slept. As long as she was peaceful, he was fine with that. He regarded her highly as the sister he never knew. And, the two of them always got on each other's nerves, as if they were actual siblings.
He snickered, thinking about jumping on her to scar her out her wits, but thought against it as he was too lazy to get up, so he laid at the mouth of the den, enjoying the weather, and listening to the light snores of the female apprentice in the den.

A silver tabby padded into the Apprentices' Den, blue hues scanning it nervously. It seemed to be mostly deserted. Good, she thought, breathing a sigh of relief. What would she do if it were crowded? Probably run. Or find a less crowded spot of the Den to settle down in. Most of the nests were empty, and by the way they were kept, Stormpaw was generally able to tell which were a she cat's and which were a tom's. Though not always; there were some toms who liked their nests neat, and some she cats who liked theirs messy. The silver apprentice backed up a little, as though she were trying to see who could still be in there...and backed right into something soft and silky. The apprentice-- who should have been a warrior by now, and was very much wishing she was at this moment-- jumped, a yelp emitting from her maw as she felt a painful shock of terror rip through her.

This seemed to happen often, though she had tried to ignore it whenever she could. "I-I'm so sorry, I was just...just coming in to see, and I backed r-right into you...are...are you alright?" She asked, swallowing hard at the end of her sentence. She wasn't used to randomly backing into other cats. She was more used to avoiding them, and yet it seemed she had literally walked into this situation. The other apprentice looked somewhat younger then her-- and had a tiger like appearance, though with darker colors. She wondered what he was doing in here...and how come, of all the places he could have been standing, right in the way of where she was backing up. That was a fiercer thought then Stormpaw could usually muster at this time, but she was frustrated with herself for doing this, so she was able to do so quite easily.

Why do I have to be so clumsy all the time? She wondered, feeling almost as though she could cry.

''Hey!'' Tigerpaw quickly stood up, and entered a crouching position. When, he saw that it was a silver tabby she-cat, his slowly let his defense down, sighing. ''Yeah, I'm okay.'' He cleared his throat, and quickly looked himself over, before bringing his eyes back to the body of the silver she-cat in front of him. ''Are you alright?'' He asked. He noted that she was definitely older than him, and he wondered why she was in the apprentices' den. After all, wasn't she old enough to be a warrior by now? Then, he remembered that their clan was going through a bit of a crisis, with the leader placement and all. He shook his head to rid the thoughts and focused on her.
From inside the den, Fairypaw, a somewhat marbled and white colored she-cat, heard the incident, and her head shot up. She instantly thought, What is that no-good tiger cat done now? She let out a slight growl, knowing his scent well. She hopped out her nest, hoping to see that it was still clean. It was a bit disheveled, and she noted to fix it later.
Fairypaw padded to the mouth of the den, where she did see Tigerpaw, but she also seen a lovely colored silver tabby, much older than they were. Wow! She's so pretty! Fairypaw thought, shook her head to rid the thoughts. With her ears pinned to the back of her head, she asked, ''Is everything alright?'' Then, she glared at Tigerpaw.
''What did I do this time?'' The male groaned.
''What don't you do.'' Fairypaw lashed her tail. ''I hope you did not upset her, did you?'' She turned to flicker her eyes at the silver tabby. ''Whatever he did, I'm sorry. He's always doing something he has no business doing anyway.''
In reply, Tigerpaw only gave a handsome smirk.

The she cat pinned her ears back after the tom's sharp response, her hues sparking with anxiety. She wanted nothing more then to run out of there as fast as she could, but then managed to calm herself upon realizing that he was calming down. It was alright. Everything was fine. He's not going to kill me. She thought with a sigh of relief. "Oh...oh good. I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to," She mewed, her ears going back again. Although Stormpaw was close to being a warrior, she was small-- and her small size resulted in the unknown tom being almost as big as her. It was an uncomfortable situation, and one that she wished she had never gotten herself into. Then again, getting into horribly uncomfortable situations was what Stormpaw did best, wasn't it? How could she do anything but mess up? I can't. I shouldn't be here, I shouldn't be an apprentice, I won't be a warrior, I always fail at everything...she thought anxiously, the tip of her tail twitching faster and faster as she did so, hues sparking and showing her spirit behind her anxious figure. Stop that right now! You will be a warrior, and you do deserve to be here! Her brain told her, making her feel about a hundred times better. Stormpaw cleared her throat, shifting her weight slightly and looking down at the ground. "Oh yes, I'm fine." She answered-- perhaps a little too quickly, but it was an answer all the same.

As another cat approached, Stormpaw's ears pricked up slightly. This cat looked sweet, and somewhat smaller then the first cat...at least, she was smaller then Stormpaw herself, which made the young she cat feel much more at home. "Oh yes, everything's fine, uh...h-he didn't do anything...I, um...bumped into him." Stormpaw ducked her head, feeling the slightest bit of embarrassment rising up inside her once more. Although her hues still showed the spirit that she had, her posture certainly didn't. She wasn't quite sure what to think about this situation now...why was it always her? Getting into trouble, messing things up...could she do anything right? Her blue hues flashed in surprise at the tom, and she shifted her weight. "I'm, um, I'm Stormpaw...by the way." She mewed. After a while it would be easier for her to get more comfortable around these cats and she would be able to really speak to them. Figure out what was going on. That sort of thing, the sort of thing that it seemed Stormpaw could never do. And she didn't understand why, either. How come it made her so nervous when she met new cats? Was it because she was afraid she would mess up? Probably, she thought with a sigh of annoyance.

It wouldn't be long before she would calm down, and perhaps these two strangers would become her friends...

It wouldn't be long before she would calm down, and perhaps these two strangers would become her friends...
Fairypaw let out a humorless laugh. ''It wasn't his fault?''
''Told ya,'' The tom said, confidently. ''I'm not always a mess up.'' Realizing what he said, Tigerpaw quickly reprimanded himself saying, ''Not that you're a mess up!'' He told the silver tabby.
Fairypaw hit him with her tail, hinting for him to shut up. ''He's more clumsier than you'll ever know. One time, he ran so fast that he slipped into a mud pond.'' Fairypaw giggled, hoping to light up the situation.
''Yeah,'' Tigerpaw was not at all amused. ''Don't remind me.'' He mused, with a roll of his eyes. He took a gentle look at the female as she introduced herself. ''Heh, it's nice to meet ya, Stormpaw!'' He replied with enthusiasm.
''Stormpaw.'' Fairypaw said slowly, with a tilt of her head. ''That's a pretty name.'' She complimented. Then, quickly introduced herself. ''I'm Fairypaw, and this is-''
''I can introduce myself, thank you very much.'' Tigerpaw interrupted the smaller female. ''I'm Tigerpaw.'' He says with his utmost confidence. He didn't want the female to feel uncomfortable around them. He thought it would be nice tohave another female around the den, especially sense Fairypaw got on his nerves constantly. This made him roll his eyes inwardly, as he stared back into the silver tabby. He noted that she had very pretty eyes.
''You needn't be his friend.'' Fairypaw warned her, playfully. ''He's very disobedient!''
''I'm not that bad.''
''You're right,'' The marbled colored cat said sarcastically, ''You're way worst.''
Tigerpaw made a slight growl. ''Whatever.'' He huffed. Tigerpaw hopped on a nearby rock, so that he was hovering high over both the females. He looked down at each of them, sitting on his haunches and begin delicately licking his paw to bring it over his head. ''Besides it's not disobedience,'' He says, with confidence, ''It's mere mischievous.'' And, he stared at the silver tabby. ''Do you like to live on the daring side?'' He asked her.

Stormpaw glanced from one cat to the other, her hues beginning to spark with amusement. This was something interesting. In more ways then one...the two of them acted as though they were brother and sister, and yet there was a certain amount of interest-- and almost a flirtatious type of thing going on between them. "O-oh no, I really am...I don't do anything right, really..." She mewed, lowering her head before the tiger-like cat. Her hues stared at the ground. Funny what she noticed when she was embarrassed or nervous...at this moment she saw that her fur was glistening like tiny diamonds, and silvery snow. Pretty-- but unnecessary for her to be thinking at that moment. She listened to them again, the tip of her tail twitching as she listened to their interesting conversation. It reminded her a little of the type of conversation she used to have with Crowpaw.

She missed him...and Hiddentalon, whom she hadn't seen in ages. Not to mention the cat who shared her name, a cat she hadn't seen in practically forever. She wondered where they were. Every time it seemed she would never see a cat again, they showed up at the strangest times... so she was positive that she would see Hiddentalon and Stormpaw, the cat who shared her name, again. "You both have nice names. It's a pleasure to meet both of you," Stormpaw mewed with a bright smile. Her face and hues lit up with her smile, and it looked interesting as though she were a whole other cat when she did so. The she cat's tail twitched nervously, and then stopped as she listened to the two bantering back and forth once more. She gazed right at the tom, her hues flashing for a moment as though warning him that she wasn't quite the type of cat that she looked like she was.

She was sweet, of course, but once she warmed up to a cat she could become much more playful and friendly then she appeared. "Oh, I don't know. He seems pretty nice." Stormpaw cocked her head to the side and analyzed the tom for a moment, ice blue hues staring right at him until she finally looked away. After a moment more of listening to their banter, she looked up at hearing the tom's question. "It depends. What's your definition of daring? Because some cats have quite a dangerous definition, and I don't appreciate them quite as much." Stormpaw explained, with a slight shrug as though fending off the tom's question. It seemed almost as though she didn't really care what was going on at the moment. She met Fairypaw's eyes and smiled, showing the she cat that she thought being friends might be nice.

The question was...did they want to be friends?

I mentioned on my profile that I was starting over. A fresh start is best for me right now; I've created quite a few new characters, and they will all be on my site, but not all will be used in roleplay right away. it's likely I'll bring them in more gradually.
