"The cliffs! The cliffs! I've never been to the cliffs!" Coyotepaw chanted with excitement as she trotted alongside her clanmates. She wondered what kinds of bugs could be found at the cliffs?

As the group neared their destination, Coyotepaw felt the wind pick up even more, buffeting her pelt and filling her ears with noise. It was so breezy up here! They must be getting close!
"I wanna find the biggest bug I've ever seen!" She called out, hopping from rock to rock as the stones started to seem bigger in size. "But how will we flip over rocks THIS big??"

So Ashfeather was alright with it. Perhaps she could go take care of the kit until they were ready to come to the nursery or something? Between the two of them she thought they could handle it, even if she was incapable of producing milk. Which she should probably tell Shockholly to keep things from getting all confusing. And Ashfeather, to help her calm down a bit maybe. I don't have any milk, but but I can stay with Ashfeather's kits if she goes. Just until she gets back. And then I could stay with the kit in the medicine den. But only if that's alright with you of course! she added hastily, not wanting to offend either of them. @TheNyanCatMinecart @Rainquail

Ashfeather listened to the two cats, calming down a bit. She’d forgotten that Wishpool couldn’t provide any milk, so it was up to her. Glancing down at her two tiny kits, she meowed, “That - that sounds good. Thanks, Wishpool.” Maybe she’d get to see Flameclaw on the way back since he hadn’t visited yet. She also wanted to help this poor scrap out. She knew what it was like to be lonely. Glancing down at her own two kits, who were mewling, she felt bad for leaving them. How would they fare without her? What if they needed to feed? Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she asserted, “Yes, I’ll come. If that’s okay.” Quickly, she added, “Please look after my kits until I come back,” then instantly felt stupid. Of course Wishpool would! And it wasn’t like she’d be gone for long. Quickly, she averted her gaze away from the pretty queen. It was a simple task. She just had to nurse a kit. Stop overthinking, Ashfeather!

The little tom bounded into the clearing, bouncing around everywhere. He was just so hyper, he loved it! He bounced some more and sat down, twitching nervously.

Shockholly could breathe easier, but also felt stupid they didn't realize Wishpool couldn't provide milk. She gave a small nod to the both of them and slowly slipped out of the nursery. Half way back to the Medicine Den, they turned to Ashfeather.
"Thank you. I was worried.... that my attempts were in vain. She's got a pretty nasty bite, and I'll need marigold. Pebbleheart went to get some, but she hasn't been back and I can only do so much without it."
The dark furred warrior's steps faltered a moment, realizing that if Pebbleheart didn't return, they would need to go out after her. They were completely out and it seemed everyone was choosing now to come in injured. They needed that stupid flower.
They turned to Ashfeather.
"I think I'll need to go after her, to make sure she's alright. Will you be alright being in the Medicine Den for a while? If you'd rather not be alone, Beepaw is a helpful little bug, always eager to listen. I don't plan to be gone long, but.... things happen."
They could never repay the queen for her help, and being gone for too long would make them feel especially guilty. She had her own kits to worry about, and here they were dragging her away from them.

Pebbleheart came back with the three marigold flowers. "Shockholly!!" she meowed giving her the Marigold." I found three bunched together." she panted.

Feeling the warmth of his mother leave him he wiggled around and squealed he was looking again for his mother. Where would she have gone anyway? The kit didn't know the kit really didn't even know his own name. Thinking the words of "When would he grow"? Were really the only thoughts he could put together a bit. He didn't understand much and he certainly didn't understand why his mother was leaving him! He wanted to survive at the very least. He could hear another mew which was probably something of his. He had just been exploring the world and most of what he felt didn't make sense nor did connections with cats nor, his mother leaving him. He wriggled again and let out another squeak to call his mother back perhaps. The tiny kit continued mewling he could hear louder noises to- His mother? Though they didn't mew like him. He squeaked they made odd noises. Like Wish-pool? Whatever that meant.

This was not good. They never thought it would get like this before the patrols came back.

This wasn't good, what was going on with the cats in her clan? Twilightstar listened to Shockholly's report with a grim expression, it wasn't that long ago that Creekdash came and reported the very same problem with the hunting patrols he sent out, she didn't recall getting a report on any of the patrols she sent out either. It was one thing if she was lazy, it wouldn't do for the whole clan to get in the rut.
"It has nothing to do with your rank, Shockholly. You are doing a wonderful job as Coldamber's replacement." Twilightstar tried reassuring the she-cat with a small smile. "If you need help with collecting herbs, I have no problem accompanying you. I've never done a herb hunt." The WindClan leader's optimism sounded a little forced, but it had nothing to do with Shockholly. " I'll deal with it. Shall we go?"
