Ravenwind smiled, congratulating her friend, "Good job." Her blue eyes flicked to her friend for a second before she said, "Let's find some more stuff, and then we can go back to camp and eat." Her stomach rumbled slightly at the mention of eating. The warrior crouched back down, opening her jaws slightly to scent the area for more prey.
|
Holy crap, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you had responded.
Cherrypaw nodded in agreement, mimicking Ravenwind as she scented the area. Her ear twitches as she heard a scuttle at the edge of the clearing and she turned toward the sound. A plump-looking squirrel was climbing down from the trunk of one of the larger oaks, to feast on the acorns below. Cherrypaw tapped Ravenwind with the tip of her paw and pointed to the prey with her tail.

Re: ThunderClan Territory
@Constellation [ Stonestream & Autumnleaf ]
“I should’ve never trusted them so quickly, what was I even thinking?” The golden-furred warrior murmured to herself as she emerged from the camp’s entrance and padded out into the dense, lush forest hunting grounds that she knew so well from many moons of isolation out in the wilderness. She was foolish enough to believe the kind-hearted words of Swiftcry and Risingmoon, saying that they would be her new-found friends and wouldn’t leave like the rest. “But, surprise, surprise - they lied to me.” Autumnleaf grumbled, gritting her teeth together, “What was I even expecting? For them to not be like Lightningclaw or Violeteye?” Her family, the only one that she knew, was all gone. From her first mate, Lightningclaw and all of their kittens to Violeteye and Alderstripe, her adopted parents. Everyone had seemed to forget about little Autumnleaf and just continue on with their lives like she was simply nothing and it frustrated her to a point where she wondered how long she could be mentally stable. The damp green-hued grass brushed under her paws as she walked through the undergrowth, her bobbed tail twitching behind her quietly.
Autumnleaf didn’t know what to think anymore and she was straying further and further away from her sanity in her mind. All the words, all the promises that they made her, meant nothing throughout the moons that she grew up with them. She was just a toy to them, a pawn in their games, crowfood to be tossed away. Her claws unsheathed and she uttered a growl of anger, swiping at a nearby tree trunk and causing a mark in the surface. A rumble of thunder erupted above her and the she-cat grew more irritated. It was their fault! The storm that caused all this to happen so many moons ago - that stupid lightning bolt that gave Lightningclaw his powers and took him away from her. It ripped her perfect life away from her and now, she had nothing. The warrior soon calmed from her slight breakdown and collapsed in the grass beside a shallow river of water that trickled through the forest. The frame of the she-cat was thin and unhealthy in appearance from her lack of eating prey for the past moon. “What did I do to deserve such a fate, oh Starclan?” The female whispered, her eyes closing for a moment as she laid there, still in the grass as she relaxed and calmed her nerves. A few drops of rainwater fell onto the she-cat’s back, making her shiver and weakly heave herself to her paws. Another light rainstorm seemed to be on it’s way through the forest, but everything seemed calmer than it usually was when it came to the storms that had plagued the land for the past moons.
A wide yawn erupted from her and the warrior pondered when she last got a full night’s rest, perhaps it was her fault for keeping her mind so burdened each night. Autumnleaf knew that it wasn’t good for her not to eat or sleep, she needed to help the clan and be the loyal warrior that she was trained to be. Although, she couldn’t find the motivation to do so these days and she wondered if she would collapse one of these days and not get up. She was a strong she-cat though and had been through a lot, she knew that life wasn’t over for her yet. The warrior looked down at her reflection in the shallow water, seeing the few scars on her muzzle and neck from multiple accidents in her life. Each was a burden, a reminder of her mistakes. Her paws ached slightly, so she sat down, looking down at the water as a twig or leaf would occasionally float by.

"Ack!" Sunpaw stopped as her claws struck his face.
He stopped, feeling a slight scratch on his left cheek. "You-you! You cheated! We're supposed to keep our claws sheathed!" He looked to Tigerdawn, waiting for her opinion. @Flameleaf

@ Flameleaf
Cherrypaw stood there, horrified, her gaze darting between Sunpaw and Tigerdawn. "I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to!" She dreaded her mentor's response.

For Stonestream, the past couple of moons had been harsh on him, but yet he wanted to pull through. The older warrior smiled, albeit a small smile. Everything was good when you smiled, but as he padded through the territory aimlessly, the tom thought of her. Yes, her. The one he loved, the one who joined the stars at such a young age. She was spirited, matched his fire. Everything they had, it was in pure bliss, it was their desire. Leopardcloud was his equal. She matched him in many ways than once, and now...she was gone. But, even as they were together, they suffered. The leopard printed she cat had suffered two miscarriages. And, when she became pregnant once more, two of their kits died within a day. The other two managed through, although not for long. Stonestream lost his daughter to a badger. And, the other one? Killed by a snake bite.
Yet, the old tom smiled. Unlike other cats, Stonestream didn’t blame Starclan for what happened in his life. He made plenty of mistakes, and he always blamed himself for not doing better. He could had done something. He could had been there. In fact, the tom wanted to bury the past in the behind. He wanted to move on. Because he knew that remembering the past made you a bitter feline. Stonestream was still as spirited as he was when he was younger. He was still happy--though, much fainter now. He was also surviving. Yes...surviving was what he was doing. Even as a kit, Stonestream was optimistic. He was a light in a darkened sky. He flickered whenever someone needed him. A candle that continued to burn in a isolated room. Stonestream flicked his tail, his grey pelt dark, but the most noticeable thing were his dark tabby stripes which appeared in swirls of oddity, yet unique patterns. As he felt a few droplets, he looked up, a rain droplet fell onto his nose, making him coil for a moment as he shook his head. ‘’Great we need rain! The plants get to grow!’’ He huffed with amusement, but continued on his way. He wasn’t doing anything in particular, just enjoying the territory. He was too lazy to hunt, and he wanted to clear his mind. For a moment, he thought he could hear Leopardcloud calling his name, calling him all sorts of cute things as she used to. A different nickname for each time she spent with him.
Stonestream used to cry when she was first taken away from him, but now all he could do was laugh--yes, laugh at the goofiness of the past. Albeit, bittersweet, it had shaped him into the tom he was today. Much more wiser, and appreciating the little things in life. If anyone knew sadness, it had to be this tom. Even Stonestream knew that other cats been through worse than he had, so he never wanted anyone to pitied him. He was still strong, breathing, standing, and smiling. And, that’s all that really mattered. He kept to himself, and was there whenever another cat needed a friend. Of course, a friend. Stonestream’s ears perked as he saw another cat. She looked...out of place. Sad. Sullen. Stonestream tilted his head as he observed her, and he had almost frowned. She looked so alone. So, being the tom that he always had been. He padded up to her slowly. He didn’t want to invade her personal space. Maybe she wanted some alone time to think and clear her head, so he stood back, his tail twitching with slightly anxiousness. ‘’Everything okay?’’ He spoke, softly. Calmly to not scare her if she was in her time of need. But, first he needed to know if his company was wanted. Some cats were aggressive, and he didn’t know which side this she cat was on.

While her life crumbled away around her, the days still seemed to pass and more began to happen around her. She felt forgotten, broken, abandoned by all those who had showed her a good time. Oh, and she remembered all of them. From her childhood friend, Wingpaw to her egotistical mate, Lightningclaw. The golden-furred female remembered every single cat that had made a mark on her life and she could never forget any of them. It was a true curse in her mind, knowing now that they were all gone, despite the any warm memories that she shared with them. Her paws seemed to shake beneath her and in that moment, Autumnleaf wanted to curl up somewhere dark and just yowl out the emotional pain that was bundled up inside of her thin body. She wished that life could’ve gone better and maybe, just maybe, it was all her fault like she often believes. Not strong enough, not pretty enough, too clingy or too hyper at times. The echoes of the hurtful words went through her ears like a reminder of her faults and the demons that rested in her head, never leaving her alone.
Unstable. Too dependent. Cowardly. All names that she was called by the ones she cared about and even with those cats not even in her life anymore, the ringing of those exact words still haunted her dreams and even when she was awake. Life seemed to just be a dull blur and the warrior knew that the clan, or any cat for that matter, wanted nothing to do with her. She loved too much, perhaps. She trusted too quickly. All the bobtail was now, in her mind, was a ghost that nobody else saw now. Her clanmates went past her in the clearing like she wasn’t even there, and if anyone did try to approach her - they soon would grow uncomfortable with her morid, sorrowful talking and move on. Nobody liked a downer, someone wise once told her. Autumnleaf remembered the looks on Swiftcry and Risingmoon’s faces when she spoke of her misfortune. A look of pity, uncomfortableness, awkward feelings. She hated when others would look at her like that. It made her feel useless.
Another softened rumble of thunder echoed above her and the she-cat knew that the certain calming atmosphere of the forest would soon disperse as cold raindrops and harsh winds would rush through the underground. However, for now, everything remained silent and alone. She felt so alone. Someone once told her that using the word alone was wrong, because there was always at least one around for you. Lonely, they would tell her, was a wiser word to use. But now, knowing her fate, Autumnleaf knew that she was using the right word and it hurt her deeply. Her ears pinned against her head and her head lowered into a sunken posture that clearly showed her dismay as the she-cat sat there by the shallow stream’s bank. At this moment, there seemed to be no thoughts in her mind - only silence now.
Although, to her surprise, an unknown voice was uttered from close to her location and the fur on the back of her neck bristled, used to being all alone when she was like this. Autumnleaf’s eyes opened and for the first time, she noticed how dark the forest seemed to be. Either it was because the day was close to it’s end or it was because of the darkened storm clouds that were currently rolling over the treeline. The warrior turned her head to see where the voice had come from and her dull, emerald-hued gaze rested on another cat - a tom by the looks of them. She feared for a moment, not knowing who this cat was, but soon scented the usual musk of Thunderclan on him. He was just another Thunderclan member, like her, not an intruding rogue or wandering loner. Autumnleaf realized that his question, which was short and simple, had almost slipped from her thought process. Though, she turned her head back away from him.
Her jaws parted, but at first, she couldn’t find the words to express what she wanted to say. Did she tell him the truth and say that she was not okay, far from okay in any form? Or lie, like she always did, and make up some excuse that she was out here to just admire nature? Most cats did not fall for her lies nor did she put much effort into them. “I..” The single word came from her, her tone sounding dry and straggled, “I’m fine.” Autumnleaf said, at last, though it was far from the truth, “What’s a tom-cat like you doing out here, deep in the hunting grounds?” She said, still not looking at him as she shifted on her haunches, “I would expect that most of the clan would be back in camp - huddled in their dens from the incoming storm..” The warrior chuckled a fake laugh, seeming to find humor in her words for some reason that she didn’t even know. Her head was not in the right place and the she-cat knew, like the cats before him, this tom-cat would leave to further their own life.

(I'm so so sorry! I was at camp and I wasn't allowed to bring my devices! I also forgot to edit my signature! I'm really sorry!)
Tigerdawn took a step forward. "Stop!" She meowed looked at the two apprentices. "You have to keep your claws sheathed," She glanced at Cherrypaw. "But... Cherrypaw, this was your first time and you made a mistake, its alright, but next time... Don't unsheathe your claws." Tigerdawn turned to face Sunpaw. "You should probably get that cut checked, Sunpaw."

I wondered what was going on. No worries. Glad to have you back
@ Panic
Cherrypaw remained frozen in place, still hardly able to believe she had clawed a member of her own clan. The relief she might have felt at hearing Tigerdawn's understanding was hardly tempered as she watched Sunpaw, expecting the other apprentice to leap at her.
