Yes!Yes,yes! They pranced excitedly towards where everyone else was. They were excited, this was a chance to redeem themselves. Of course them losing a shrew to another apprentice didn't sound that bad, especially with the injuries Brightpaw has sustained, but they were still beating themselves up about it. The lynx-point heard their name called by their patrol partner? Leader? Warrior? They didn't know what to call Rushingmoor, but it didn't matter.
"Rushingmoor?" They asked, double checking that they had the right Warrior.

"Your pain? I'm glad my pain with taking care of the what, what did you call them, tailless? amuses you as well!" Breezefeather was having a good time and the otherwise closed off and often exhausted cat was just... enjoying himself which appeared to be a largely rare thing that he did and well... it was likely due to the fact that Rushingmoor despite his lovey dovey look had a bit of a brain unlike a few of their clanmates and was capable of a normal joking conversations and didn't particularly take his rank into place.

That was probably the hardest thing for the new deputy to learn. The balance between the harshness of the deputy role, that he was the one who would confront cats who didn't do the patrols, but he also had to be someone that the others could approach with smaller minor issues that might not need to be brought directly to Twilightstar... but he was managing or at least trying his best to manage and this conversation with Rushingmoor was surely helping, just a tad bit.

At the laughter though, the deputy was unable to help an eyeroll of his own. "See now who's laughing at the expense of my sanity. Brink of death? Sounds about right, brink of death by falling into the sea and starvation. I do wonder if there lies a curse on this moor and that starving is something that we should just start preparing for. Starvation? Normal perfectly normal." He couldn't help but roll his eyes again at the horrible joke about another round of a horrible winter.

"Probably won't get better unless the clan pulls itself together and starts to understand that if they don't report in patrols no food will warm any of our bellies... at this point I would rather be in a war with Shadowclan than having to deal with a starvation episode... at least we know where we stand with Shadowclan."

Hedgekit was sitting in a corner of the nursery and grooming her tail. It was a bit messy and full of dust. She liked being orderly so she wanted to fix it. That stupid furball I had a fight with made me mess up my tail. But I showed them!

Snailspark nodded to herself as her name was called once more. She smiled. She was glad for the many patrols she was placed on - when she was an apprentice she had been on... like 1? But now it was more like, bam bam bam - which she wasn't complaining about! Anyways, the molly turned around to go look for the rest of the group.

"Hello. Are we ready to head out?"
