"I don't think so." They certainly hadn't told her about it, so it was highly unlikely for her to know. The apprentice got ready hastily as Rushingmoor set off to send a rabbit to them. Positioning themself by the burrow, they awaited the hare that was yet to come. Brightpaw had been in the perfect position, they killed the prey as soon as it ran obliviously into the large lynx-point's ready paws.
A smile lit their face but guilt prickled at their belly as the thanked Starclan for the creature's life.

It seemed Starclan was on their side today since two more rabbits popped out of the long grass as the first dashed toward Brightpaw. Rushingmoor sprang into action and pounced on the second, dispatching it almost before his paws touched it. This would be the challenge, though. The third rabbit had a head start and was running away from Rushingmoor and his partner both.

With the speed only Windclan cats could boast, Rushingmoor took off after the third creature. His paws pounded the ground hard enough that he knew the rabbit must have felt it in its bones. He of course regretted the fear that the creature must have been feeling but that talk with Breezefeather had instilled in Rushingmoor the deputy’s worry for the clan. They needed this rabbit.

Memories of the conversation pushed Rushingmoor faster and he thought he must have been sprinting faster than he had ever before. In an act of desperation as the rabbit neared a gaping hole in the ground, Rush leaped. He soared through the air and landed just outside the hole that the creature had disappeared into.

He wasn’t lost yet, though, as Mushy realized his paw was clinging to the struggling creature’s back leg. Tugging wildly, he managed to drag the rabbit out and swiftly kill it with a bite to the neck. All that was left now was to collect the second rabbit and check to see how Brightpaw made out.

“Nice catch, kid! We’re bringing home three rabbits today! Breezefeather will be pleased!”

The young cats jaw lay agape, as Rushingmoor sped after the rabbit, their blue eyes were fixated on the warrior. Once the astonishment fled from their mind, they picked up their catch, and brought it over to the first rabbit Rushingmoor had caught. Once the patrol leader reached them, they put their rabbit down and let out an amazed
"You did that?!"

Snowkit let his fur lie flat: "You're new too?" He asked. "I joined 3 sunrises ago. This is my mom, Brightwish, and these are my siblings." He said calmer.

" its nice to meet you, i joined half a moon ago, though i just started training." leafpaw said still keeping his calm tone he was happy the kit calmed down " do you want to play?"

Snowkit shook his head, taking on a defensive tone again, though staying relaxed-ish. "My sister blossom died of sickness and cold, and I vowed to never play again if it couldn't be with blossom". he said

" oh... im sorry" leafpaw thought " wouldnt your sister want you to be happy and play? to become strong?" leafpaw didnt want to upset the kit but playing was good for them

Snowkit again shook his head, determination in his gaze. "I will fight and train, but not play."
