Quiverpaw nodded her head from her position, letting Rosebrair know that she'd heard her, and then bunched her legs underneath herself in preparation. A few moments later, she leaped out of the grass toward the stump - reaching quite an impressive height for a cat as small as she. She landed on her target precisely, outstretched claws sinking into the softwood of the rotting stump. If it had been a rabbit, it would have been caught.
Rosebrair's next words caught her off guard. She jumped up slightly flustered from her stump, getting caught in a rush of excitement and nervousness that the words seemed to generate within her. "A-ah, okay!" The apprentice stared wide-eyed for a moment before nodding her head - getting herself under control. "That sounds great." She gulped slightly, wondering if she really was ready for her assessment. It was long overdue, her abilities were quite enough for her to become a warrior, but she couldn't help but feel nervous. What would happen if she failed? No-one ever really talked about that. She looked around rapidly for a moment, seeming to have lost track of what she had been doing - lost in her thoughts. Oh, yes, running! I've got to show my running skills next. She was being feather-brained, she needed to focus. One thing at a time.

So... She was there, sitting, doing nothing, only sitting. Was she... Supposed to do something? Talk to someone? No no no, she knew how that always ended. But what was she supposed to do then? Honestly, Hailpaw felt a bit... Awkward- or even out of place, just sitting around and doing nothing. But what could she do? She'd already gone out that morning for a short moment and with the cold air it really didn't seem appealing to go again - maybe the elder's den? Clean some nests? No.. Why would she - she'd managed to pass out on the opportunity of doing such a thing for the majority of her apprenticeship, if not all. There wasn't much cleaning to do anyway considering there seemed to only be one or two elders. But what then?

Rainkit starched as she came back into the nursery from running around outside. She was tired but didn't want to sleep. Big cats didn't sleep during the day so she didn't need to either. However, the little black kitten still needed someone to keep her company so she didn't accidently fall asleep! Her sister had been gone for a while so that really didn't leave many cats, but Echowind was around!

Scampering over to the queen she gave a smile. "Echowind, Echowind!" She mewled pawing at her adopted mother. "Do you wanna do something? Like play, or go for a walk, or um tell stories?" Rainkit asked. The young molly really didn't know much of what had happened to Echowind. She knew nothing of her biological kit dying nor one going missing. All of this had been missed by the oblivious kitten, while she had stayed back from her due to the recent kitting and being unsure if she was allowed near her it was mostly because things just went over her head.
Rainkit let out a yawn, eyes squeezing shut as she did so. "Do you wanna hang out Echowind?" She asked again, blinking her eyes to ride of the drowsiness that kept trying to settle in them.
