Rainglow sighed with relief in the change in conversation. "Good actually, I found some nice stones near the river." he purred, sitting up again. Lack of mental energy wasn't going to stop him from starting on his favorite subject!

Slatestripe tipped his head to one side. “Where do you keep all these stones you find?” he inquired. He figured Rainglow probably buried them somewhere, or something. He certainly didn’t keep them in the warriors’ den; Slatestripe could only imagine other cats’ annoyance at tripping over rocks all the time.

Rainglow smiled. "I leave them in nature where they belong." It made him feel like such a good cat when he left rocks untouched! The tom purred quietly. StarClan, he loved rocks so much... probably because they couldn't make rude comments or start conversation...

Slatestripe shrugged. He didn’t really understand what the point of seeking rocks out was if Rainglow wasn’t going to keep them. “Why do you like rocks so much?” It had been a long, long time since he’d asked, so he couldn’t really remember at this point.

"Before I begin, i must warn you... i'm eccentric." Rainglow chuckled, flicking his fluffy tail. He had his whole speech prepared... he'd been telling it to cats who questioned him. Since he was 4 moons old. Yeah, that might be why cats bullied him.

Slatestripe gave his brother a playful shove. “You tell me that as if I haven’t known you since birth,” he purred, whiskers twitching in amusement. If anyone in the whole Clan was used to Rainglow, it was he. Well, him and their mother.

They make up the backbones of hills and mountains and the foundations of plains and valleys. Beneath the soil you walk on and the deep layers of soft mud that cover the ocean basins is a basement of hard rock. Rocks are made up of different minerals, broken pieces of stuff, or broken pieces of other rocks. Some rocks are made of the shells of once-living animals, or of compressed pieces of plants. What a rock is made of, the shapes of the grains, and how the grains fit together all provide valuable clues to help us unlock the rock's history hidden within." His speech continued for a LONG TIME. Most cats would have stopped him by now~ but he knew his brother never would.

Once Rainglow was done with his speech, he asked, “Have you ever considered being medicine cat?”
