Songbirdpaw flicked his tail in a polite greeting towards the she cat since he knew her name now. He really felt bad that he didn't know it. That really showed how much of an anti-socialist he was, but it wasn't his fault that he acted that way. Songbirdpaw was usually always lost in his own world, singing or humming that he was virtually ignorant to his clan mates it seemed like. ''You're a warrior?'' He asked with a tilt of his head. He couldn't tell that she was one. He assumed she was older than him, but like an older apprentice, not a warrior. ''T-training is okay, I suppose. My m-mentor says I gotta do better...I'm easily distracted.'' He replied, pinning his ears to his head an smiling sheepishly over at the she cat. ''How is being a warrior? I can't wait to be one myself. I bet it has a lot of responsibilities, huh?''

'No, Eaglepaw deserves that' spoke a familiar voice. He drew pack from Dawnpaw and shook his white pelt, only just noticing how wet it was from all the snow. Of course be didn't mind it, otherwise what purpose did his name serve?
He let out a small chuckle, understanding the joke side to her story. "Its what happens when your parents are as blind as a bat.". He fliched at his own comment , then sat down, unsuccessfully trying to hide his eye and not look.

Dawn'Paw was a little startled at how kind Snow'Paw was being, She then spoke in a quiet murmur."I-It's fine, it's not like your at fault..". Her Blue gaze looked at him, as she gave a teasing grin."Im Surprised! Turns out your just a big softie but pretends to be a Grumpy Hothead!. Dawn'Paw laughed a little before hearing his comment, She then softly spoke when she realised he was trying to hide his face." You know your eye really isn't that bad, I honestly think it looks good! I wish I had a scar like that, then I could show just how fierce I am!".She said trying to cheer him up a bit, She gave one of her rare sincere and real smiles.

( @Cave in case you like, wanted Quick'Feather to watch her being all happy then come over and release all of Quick'Feathers anger on dawn causing an argument or something, Just thought it would be good for a little bit of interaction between them before quick got a new mate but if not that's fine too :> )

Curltail nodded, "Yeah especially since New-leaf is just around the corner." , she added. The queen finished up her food and began to clean her paws from the meal she had just eaten. Curltail stopped to look at him as he told her how he was doing. " I can't wait to go back to hunting, but I'm almost due, so I don't think it would be good for me. ", she replied.

Walnutwhiskers flashed her a look of sympathy, "I can only imagine! I'd feel so restless in your paws." He mewed almost shuddering at the thought of just sitting around the clan not being able to hunt. He took one more huge bite and licked his lips in satisfaction from his meal, "I'm sure you'll be so busy soon you won't even think about hunting so it'll all work out." He mewed before cleaning himself up as well.

It was a brisk morning, the sharp bitter winds howling through trees and slicing through cats fur like invisible icicles, the suns bright radiance lighting up the cavity in camp, not even the sun could warm the land despite being out and as big as ever. Duckpuddle emerged from her den, she was a slender feline with brilliantly bright yellow eyes mirroring the equally bright sun. Taking a few deep breaths the molly watched clan life move around her. Progressing slowly, moons after the purging of fallenstar and blazingstars tensions. The reality of it was very slowly revealing itself to her as she grew, nobody was perfect and life wasn’t as easy as it appeared to be. A yawn momentarily breaking up her thoughts as she reached to extend out her forearms and drop into a satisfying stretch. Where was I? Oh, right. Others could and most often chose to let you down. The She cat stood there contemplating this thought, the brightness fading from her eyes. Somewhere out there someone was still just as bothered as she was about this, despite moons having passed since then. It was still fresh on her mind. Shaking away the bitter thoughts the feline pushed forward, skipping past muddied snow pileup to reach a soggy pile of prey in the heart of camp. Disappointing but good enough to eat she bent to nip the scruff of a scrawny hare lifting it from the ground and taking off with it. Unlucky fellow, he’d never reach new leaf with its warm fresh scents and plentiful greenery, his life ended there to support her own. A pit formed in her stomach, much like the cats who’d been downed and never stood again. Their life for another’s. That was a far more disturbing thought. A bitter bite of realities biggest punchline, sour and hard to swallow. Ignoring her growling stomach the she cat plopped down on a dry patch of grass, going to work on the hare, nipping clippings of grass that had been tangled in its scraggly fur. It was a muddy catch with multiple bite and claw wounds, likely the work of a sloppy apprentice. She mused at the thought, perhaps her own life was moving on sluggishly but others kept on living. Apprentices kept on growing, Life wouldn’t wait for her and perhaps that was a good thing. Others would rely on her to bring prey in and watch their borders for them. To offer protection and reassurance, for now that was all the encouragement she needed to keep going.


Just as she bent her head to dwelve into the hare a heartbreaking sob hit her ears, she froze momentarily eyes scanning the clearing with a desire to find the source. Her motherly instincts had been kicked into overdrive and her desperation to comfort the one behind the tears grew more and more desperate, but each cry brought her closer and closer until there- the She cats eyes landed on the leader perched high above the clear. Face buried between his paws and sobs shaking his shoulders. She twitched at first taken aback by the sight of the leader so broken and so numb to the thought others would see him like this. But grief could do many things to a cat.. and if she had heard anybody cry out in grief before, This was it. Cautious of her next few moves she scanned the area, others seemed to busy to notice at first but she could see the curious head tilts from a few. Biting back the nip of common sense in the back of her mind she craned her neck to nab the hare from its resting place between her paws and as calm as she could approached the rocks that lead up to the leaders den, her tail gave an irritated flick. She hated heights and certainly possibly being the center of attention. Biting the inside of her cheek she made the climb up the stones, careful not to slip on it’s slick surface. Would the tom even receive her? Perhaps not, but if I can only urge him to eat a little sometimes it can help the tears. At least for me. as she reached the perch she could see grousestars body, looking smaller and thinner than usual. Not that she had ever seen him up close. Empathy filled her eyes and she stood there for a few seconds in a daze What do I even say? she felt her gut twist and she had to curl her claws into the rock to stop her from turning tail and running back to her next hopeful nobody had seen her. ’ ‘ Grousestar ‘ ‘ came her gentle voice, her eyebrows knit thoughtfully together as she made a very cautious approach towards the tom. Don’t mention it, don’t mention it’ ‘ I thought you would be hungry, and since I’ve got this hare here I thought it’d be good to share. I couldn’t possibly finish it all myself I-‘ ‘You’re rambling! An agonizing silence fell between them and for a few seconds duckpuddle searched her mind desperately for some comforting words, but she had already said enough and stood defeated in her attempt. He’s like any one of your clan mates. He deserves the comfort

Why had his life taken such a nosedive? Why did Lemonstar ever have to leave? Why did he have to be burdened with the decisions and life of a leader? It was is if he had given up his entire life to become a different cat. And it wasn't even the cat he wanted to become. It was such a drastic change from what he dreamed of being. At one point in his life, he imagined that he would have gotten over the kidnapping of his other brother, gotten over the death of his parents after seeing them live long happy lives, and become a beacon of light for those in a dark time. He imagined that he would be like that; here he was though. In the deepest pit, surrounded by cats he didn't trust and watching his clan fold into disrepair, or at least, that's what he saw it as. At one point he cared how other cats saw him, cared about how he expressed his emotions, not wishing for others to worry about him and the pain he was burdened with. Now he couldn't hold it in anymore. Even as he sobbed, he didn't care if others saw him as weak, because after a while in his position, they would be weak too. Everyone thought they had the strength, the charisma, the intelligence to become leader; kits dreamed of taking his place one day, but they were mislead. This wasn't a position they should dream about, it was filled with more weight than they could ever imagine. 9 lives meant nothing compared to the turmoil you go through, trying to keep your clan healthy, happy, alive. And even then, it wasn't good enough for some. One wrong decision could cost so many cats their lives. It wasn't easy. It could really break a cat. That's what was happening with Grousestar.

With his own sobbing, he hadn't heard the warrior approach, the only thing that cut through was her voice. The leader had to choke back another sob that racked him to lift his head and stare blearily at who spoke. If it had been Rabbitfluff, it might have made him feel better, but it was just some warrior. One of the ones that likely rallied against with Auroraflame. Part of him just wanted to send her away, the bitter part of him that had grown over the past moons. For a moment, he would just stare at her as she rambled, the tears soaking into the fur around his eyes. 'Send her away, it's probably poisoned. Either that, or she wants to take the time to tell you how you need to chose a deputy, or how bad of a leader you are right now. She'll tell you how wrong you were in your choices. She'll tell you-' Grousestar would growl lowly and flex his claws against the stone beneath him. He was tired of these thoughts, they never ceased. Even in this state, he couldn't bring himself to turn away a clanmate that wanted to try and help him. Sighing softly, the brown tabby would shift as if to allow her room to sit next to him. "Surprising there was a hare found. All I've been seeing is scrawny mice and shrews." The statement was bland and said without much effort, but it was an invitation for her to join him without thanking her or making any mention of it.

Quckfeather tromped into camp he usual scowl painted on her face, she held no prey like she normally did, instead, she simply held a small clump of moss. Her maw opened and dropped the moss by the medicine cat den and her eyes shot daggers around the camp and rested on the apprentices. "Lazy good-for-nothing apprentices, I have to do their jobs in order to be useful today. They probably were running amock in the forest a few moments ago, scaring away all that precious prey!" she spat under her breath. She approached the apprentices from across the camp her menacing form stalking and her long fur blowing in the still chilly breeze.

(BTW Tawny, she got a "mate" though her character change will be very slow and technically their relationship won't start until shes completely changed. Also, they haven't started rping yet, but if you want to follow along I'd be happy to tag you. I'm also considering making a lot of their rp's to be private rp's)
