Violetfreckle was about to go join Bumblestar when, oh? A horde of babies attacked! She blinked once, twice, then let out a dismayed laugh. She shot Spiderstar a quick look (who knew the old man could be funny?) and worked on pushing her way to the front toward her poor, buried mate. "Need a little help there?"

"Oh okay! Sorry BumbleStar!" Willowpaw quickly stepped away from the leader. She didn't know she wasn't supposed to do that. But she wanted to be a warrior! Oh well. It was probably a joke. She wasn't supposed to fall for it. @/dino.

Cloudedpaw jumped off, embarrassment flooding his eyes. Ah, so they weren't supposed to attack Bumblestar? He gave a nervous giggle.

Hmph! Fine, she'd leave her alone. But not without a daggered glare sent her way. Why declare dad leader just to go back on your word?! Whatever. As long as she go her ceremony today, she'd be happy. Oh, and as long as she got a good mentor - but that wouldn't be hard in ThunderClan!

Aughh is that another kitten joining the fray? How are they supposed to get anything done with these little gremlins weaving in and out underfoot? Peachpaw shoots a withering glance at the two eager young things while he busies himself trying to scale up onto Bumblestar's back with the others.

"You both go bother Echobarley, he's here too and you're messing us up!" Peachpaw snaps. He doesn't want to step on a baby, he'd hate himself forever! Or like...for a moon at least. Anyway, they're something nobody here needs to worry about just yet. Bumblestar's sweeping a paw out to get some space, which disrupts Peachpaw's clumsy efforts easily. He wobbles back, falls, and springs back up with a chagrinned look—but they've got her, she's down...ish...which means they just need to keep—!

Oh, but the leader has spoken, and Cloudedpaw and Willowpaw are already backing off. Peachpaw's stub-tail twitches, a stubborn pout setting in. They can't quit now! He still thinks it would have been entirely feasible to pile on the weight and hold Bumblestar hostage until she started coughing up warrior names or until Spiderthroat rewarded them with them. Only, not anymore, since two cats gave up.

"Cowards," he accuses. Alpinepaw is the only one not getting a mean comment lobbed at her, it seems. "We could've done it." But he's not going to keep trying.

For the first time in a long, long, time. The Calico was laughing. A full, good natured, chest laugh. A smile was rare enough, but this? Oh he hadn't felt like this in moons. Seasons even. Watching as Bumblestar looked up at him in dismay. Only catching a second of it as she was than buried in a sea of Apprentices.

He gave it a second, letting himself take a few deep breaths and holding onto his stomach that was quickly becoming sore. Once he was certain he could at least hold a sentence together without breaking out into a fit of laughter he sucked in a deep breath.

"Alright. Alright. Enough get off of her you lot. C'mon back to your spots. Hate to break it to ya but only a handful of you are actually havin ceremonies today." he paused. Squinting at those who lingered to attack the old harpy. His voice loud, and expression back to how it normally is. Resting serious mode. "Those of you who are called forwards are gettin your new names. So listen closely."

Spiderthroat than cleared his throat and straightened his posture. Looking down at all the felines that gathered around the Stormcrest. Man. He sure did hate this. Last time he was somewhat like this, with this much attention. Was when he was calling Dogbark out...or when he was shockingly announced a deputy. Much to everyones surprise. Dead cats too. A sharp intake of breath and the tom opened his maw;

" 'cause Bumblestars gonna be announcin them." he snorted. Turning to look down at the very disgruntled molly with a quick lopsided grin. Before anything could be tossed his way by said angry molly, the older tom began to slide his way down the Stormcrest, attempting to dodge all the sharp upturns and sudden bumps.

Now came the hard part. Avoiding death.

Nightwhisper snorted in amusement. "It was nice having you as deputy" the senior Tom joked as Spiderthroat landed near him.

"Well, I don't care about Echobarley!" Who even was that, anyway?! And who is this weirdo, who - who think he can talk to her like that!! Rude! Hmph. "Not a coward. Just..." Oops. No comeback.She paused, contemplating. "Just smarter than you." She stuck her tongue out, before finding a place to sit and wait for her ceremony.

With that put behind her, she was almost bouncing up and down with excitement - but - retaining composure - as a new apprentice should! These things were very important. Well, anyway!! No time to think about that. Very exciting things were at paw. This would be it, right?! Right?!

Kestrelkit braced herself against the biting winter air, the soft crunch of snow beneath her tiny paws mingling with the chaotic symphony of voices around her. Frost clung to the edges of her patchy calico pelt, though she made no effort to shake it off. Instead, her mismatched eyes darted between her siblings and the other kits, her sharp mind piecing together the scene unfolding before her. Drizzlekit’s strange antics hadn’t gone unnoticed, though she couldn’t help but let out a soft snort at his peculiar exclamation. Frost on his fur? He was such an oddball sometimes. She didn’t quite know whether to laugh or roll her eyes. The nursery had been full of warmth and comfort, so why were so many kits flopping about in the snow like frozen frogs? This winter had turned her siblings into bundles of nonsense, and it was her self-appointed job to sort it out. Her gaze shifted to Honeykit, who was only adding to the absurdity of the situation. The small tom had ventured into the snow with an air of newfound bravery, his chest puffed up as if he were facing off against the entire season of leaf-bare itself. His determined little strides faltered as he neared their group, his face lighting up at the sight of his siblings. Kestrelkit arched a brow as he greeted them all with exaggerated enthusiasm, but her skepticism melted into faint amusement when he suddenly flung himself at Rosekit.

She listened to his wail as he had to practically bury himself into her russet-brown sister’s fur. Kestrelkit twitched her ears in bemusement, resisting the urge to swat some sense into him. Honeykit’s dramatics were a constant in her life, but this? This was on another level. Before she could scold him for overreacting, Poppykit burst onto the scene, his usual grumpiness written all over his face. Kestrelkit watched as he huffed and puffed his way through the snow, his eyes flashing with both annoyance and concern. It was obvious he’d been woken from one of his precious naps—no doubt by the commotion happening outside the nursery—but the panic in his gaze as he spotted them made her pause. She softened just a little. She listened to his announcement, as if the rest of them hadn’t figured it out. Kestrelkit tilted her head at him, her expression torn between fondness and exasperation. Leave it to Poppykit to turn a little snowfall into the end of the world. Still, his words weren’t entirely without merit. Rosekit had been lying in the snow for too long, and the bitter wind was only getting stronger. Kestrelkit turned her attention to Oakkit, who was valiantly attempting to drag Rosekit back toward the nursery. The other kit’s determination was admirable, but the effort seemed futile given the russet-brown’s weight and the deep snow.

Before she could respond, she overheard the barreling of kits running over towards the Stormcrest and surrounding one of the cats atop of the large rock. She didn’t hold a singular clue of who they were, other than the fact that all of the loud nonsense was starting to make her head spin. Letting loose a heavy sigh through her nostrils, watching her breath turn into frozen mist within seconds, she began to speak to give her own interpretation into the situation, fragments of confidence flooding her system. “Rosekit, stop lying there like a lump. Honeykit, quit clinging to her and start using your paws. And Poppykit—" She paused, softening slightly as she caught the nervous flicker in his gaze. “You’re not wrong about the cold being dangerous, but panicking isn’t going to help anyone. We need to get back to the nursery, now.” Her tone left no room for argument. “I think that Oakkit has the right idea; we should help her get Rosekit into the nursery so that she doesn’t freeze to death.”

Violetfreckle. Her mate had shown up just a tad too late. Bumblestar stretched out both forepaws to yank herself out from underneath the pile of toddlers as Spiderthroat finally had mercy on her. She shot him a nonserious glare and pushed herself up to her paws, bumped Violetfreckle's shoulder, then decided to just struggle to climb her way up the Stormcrest. Too much ice, too COLD. Who's horrible idea was it to call a meeting?

"Alright, the lot of you settle down," she huffed, clinging to the edge of the stone with her claws. "Let's get serious. First thing I wanna get out of the way - reassignments. Kinda a... a long list." The ongoing plague wasn't doing anyone any favors.

"Sunflowerpaw, since you requested a swap, you'll be with M//ountaintalon instead. Swanpaw, Nightgaze. Fawnpaw, Nightwhisper. Burningpaw, Dogchase. Slugpaw, Smokefang. Cottonpaw, Rookflight. Wasppaw, Aldernose. Cloudedpaw, Risingstorm. Annnd Ashpaw, since you're new here, you'll be with Rainstalk.

"Now, far as apprentice ceremonies go: Hornetkit, Fleakit, Hailkit, Horizonkit, Sunrisekit, Floodkit, Shrewkit, Lynxkit, Spiderkit, Beechkit, Spiderlingkit, everyone up here if you wanna actually get training going."
