The small tom raised his head, fidgeting with his paws nervously. He wasn't really one to 'play' with his fellow kits, but why not give it a try..? StarClan, there were so many reasons why not to give it a try! Turtlekit pushed these intrusive thoughts aside. Some interaction would be good for him! He lifted his head proudly and responded to Meadowkit.

Turtlekit scurried off to find a hiding place, and came across a small cluster of bushes near the entrance of the nursery. He pushed himself through the pokey twigs as quietly as he could, aiming for the center of the bushes. After much struggle, the tom had made it to an area where he would be well-hidden. As he crouched, waiting, he turned his head and began picking leaves and sticks out of his pelt.
