Just as usual, Smokefang was in the back, always looking, always observing his clanmates.

Altough something else had picked his attention today... His narrowed eyes were right on Bumblestar.

No speeches today... Curt and quick orders. He knew his clan leader as someone who always added more things to their speeches and orders. Yet there was nothing at all.

Did something happen? Certainly... Because Bumblestar seemed to have a hard time...

Nonethless, it wasn't really his problem, he shifted a little to adjust his position.

It felt a little more bearable to be sat besides Violetfreckle and Spiderthroat right now, like Mudhound had a sort of barrier against having to face the clan right now. They didnt think Sprucejumper, Wolfhawk, or anyone would judge them right now of course, but they were just so overwhelmed even the clans gaze felt too much.

For a time it seemed like Mudhound would spend the meeting slumped with eyes vacant, but a couple of names they knew actually somehow drew their attention and caused the tripods head to raise. Mantiskit and Quackkit, two of the kits who'd been hit by the sickness as well and who somehow survived despite all odds. Quackkit in particular was sweet, had been a bright spot to Mudhound before the darkness became too overwhelming, and it was a hopeful thing that she'd be able to grow up when so many didnt.

The sickness hadnt destroyed everything, despite how much it felt like it did.

Cloudedpaw tilted his head. Mantiskit was gonna be Mantispaw! Sick, maybe she'd stop biting his ankles! Hey, Mantiskit! Congratulations! He purred, stepping closer to the younger cat.

Ravenfire was... a little surprised to hear her name within the reassignments.
An apprentice, already?
Well, she can... handle a bit of responsibility.
Though, for all she knows, 'Brindlepaw' may be her age.
Who knows.

Anyway, Brindlepaw was talking to her before she knew it.
Brindlepaw was sick for a little while, but has had a fighting lesson.

Frostpaw walked on over to the clearing. He was extremely excited to get new apprentices and possible new friends! He was stoked to see who could be his new friend. He’s always up to make new friends and he’s in desperate need of interactions with others his age, the older warriors were always too busy and intimidating.

Realising that she should probably find her apprentice Fernwhisper looked for Lightningpaw. Passing a look over the clearing Fernwhisper saw the calico. Approaching her apprentice-to-be she couldn't help, but notice the malnutrition present in Lightningpaws features, Fernwhisper guessed that it's probably an after effect of the illness
Trying to hide her worry Fernwhisper spoke. ''Hello Lightningpaw, if I understood correctly, I'm your mentor now.'' Sitting down next to Lightningpaw she continued. ''How much training have you had?''

More of her kids! Being named! Softdaisy scuttles over to the crowd gathered by Stormcrest, seeking out Cricketkit and Mantiskit to lap at their fur, straightening it out. She didn't care for their grumbling or protests - they were going to look presentable whether they liked it or not. Once done, Softdaisy releases them, satisfied, and steps back.

"You too, you're not getting away from me that fast." Softdaisy chides as she hurries over to groom Snakekit. "Don't think I've forgotten about you." All the kits under her care ought to get their rightful attention. Who else would smooth their fur down?
