Rasberrybubble entered the den coughing and weezing," Kestrelberry?" She asked coughing.

Her soft yellow hues kept darting around the clearing, watching waiting. The tom gave her a gentle nudge, acting playful. "Aw what's wrong? Don't trust me?" He sneered at her. This was it. She had no idea it was coming. Well, she probably knew something was up, but probably not what he was planning. "Look, I'll tell Clawpaw to keep her claws sheathed. And if she doesn't, no warrior ceremony for her, and a good thorough punishment from me. Deal? All we need from you is for you to keep track of her distance jumping, nothing more. If you start to feel uncomfortable, just say something, and I'll stop the session. But Clawpaw's a great cat, she needs to be a warrior, but I needed your help, no one trusts me these days. So what do you say, little sis?" He cooed, cold green eyes glaring at her.
Upon seeing her mentor enter the training cave with another cat, Clawpaw's cold hues flashed with uncertainty and she followed the two inside. This was... odd. She had always thought an assessment was strictly between mentor and apprentice, but if that were so; what was whoever this was doing in here? Maybe she was here to watch. See, Clawpaw was not a completely evil cat... but she had been brought up in a way that made it hard for her to distinguish right from wrong, and she constantly craved power. She was ambitious. And she would kill if she needed to, no one was allowed to stand in her way. But she couldn't shake the feeling that something was seriously wrong with this assessment. Perhaps it was the fact that there was another cat there. It made her a little uncomfortable. But, she would wait until the very end to decide if she was comfortable with this. At least by the end she would be a warrior. At least by the end she would no longer have to spend long hours training.... well, training with a mentor. She would be the mentor. A thought that made her smile just a little. But still, she wished she knew who this was. And what they were doing here. Clawpaw was so close to finishing... and now she was beginning to get nervous. Stop that right now! Of course you're going to be a warrior. And Rusticash will be pleased with your effort. She told herself sternly, though she wasn't sure how much of it was true... and how much of it was just some of her wishful thinking.

I mentioned on my profile that I was starting over. A fresh start is best for me right now; I've created quite a few new characters, and they will all be on my site, but not all will be used in roleplay right away. it's likely I'll bring them in more gradually.

You could also aim for the warriors back, you'll be able to stay on them easier since you're smaller and they'll also have trouble reaching you." He said with little confidence. He wasn't sure if what he said was right, there were plenty of fast big warriors. He realized she had unsheathed his paws, he flicked his ears and pretended not to notice. He figured she was getting ready to either attack him and see how his moves worked or she was going to punish him for getting the answer wrong.
(I didn't even see this until now,, I'm so sorry ;w; )

"I hadn't even thought of it that way." She admitted, flexing her claws into the soft soil rapidly. Badgerbite was thoroughly impressed by this apprentice so far, although questions like this one usually had more than one answer. I was something she had always asked her apprentices. It gave her a bit more perspective on Ratpaw's personality, and while some apprentices, even warriors, would have said that being intimidating and puffing up was the best thing to do, but this small cat said speed was. Potential, but definitely needs training. Badgerbite backed up a few paces from Ratpaw, her tail perked up behind her. Parting her jaws, the older cat scented the air for a brief moment, "Keep your claws sheathed! I'm going to pounce at you, don't worry about getting any moves correct, just go with your instinct." In almost an instant, the large molly was ducked down into an offensive crouch, her yellow orbs burning into the apprentices pelt and muscles rippling as she launched herself at Ratpaw, claws sheathed of course. She wasn't putting all her force into her jump, as she didn't want to injure her apprentice during their first training session, but she wasn't going to sugar coat it either. If she wanted a legitimate reaction, not some half-hearted kittypet swat, she would need to invoke real panic and adrenaline in the young cat.

(its fine )

Ratpaws smiled a bit a Badgerbites comment, he thought he was doing pretty well. Ratpaw sheath his paws and watched his mentor carefully, his eyes widen at the muscles underneath her pelt. He felt really nervous but forced the thoughts away, worrying about every little thing was going to get him killed in battle. He would do as his mentor said and just follow his instincts. He fur began to bristle as his mentor jumped at him, before he could even think he ran under his mentor as fast as he could. As he slide under her he lost control of his footing and slid onto the ground. He quickly gathered himself and stood, looking to see what her next move would be.

Badgerbite landed a bit heavy on her paws causing her joints to crea loudly, having expected her apprentice to be there to break her fall. Badger was still getting used to getting older, it was definitely taking a toll on her, no doubt that Ratpaw might be her last apprentice. She had seen a bit of hesitation plastered on his face on her initial leap, but was ultimately proud that the apprentice scrambled out of the way, underneath her to make it even better. Badger would teach him the half-turn belly rake after getting the basics out of the way. With Ratpaw's small size and stature, he could turn any fight around with that move. The thought made Badgerbite grin in anticipation. Nothing was more appealing than performing that move correctly and managing to take down your attacker. Even though the senior warrior was a large cat, she had certainly squared up with cats larger than she. Quickly regaining her posture, Badgerbite turned on her heels almost instantly, facing the apprentice, her eyes wild with adrenaline as she aimed her paw to inflict a bow to his left shoulder. Again, the large she-cat restrained herself, making sure to keep her claws sheathed.

Ratpaws ears flicked a bit as he watched his mentor carefully. He was glad his move worked so well, his heart began to beat faster. He was ready for her next move, he saw her raise her paw and he quickly moved out the way once more. He figured it would be a good time to try his back idea, he quickly bunched up his muscles and jumped, aiming for her back. But he overshot the jump and landed in the soil next to his mentor, he cursed at himself mentally and scrambled to try and get up again. He knew that if he did this in battle he would be as good as dead, he got onto his paws once more but was covered in soil.

Slamming the ground where the apprentice had been standing with her paw, Badgerbite quickly recoiled, her claws extending into the ground causing dust to fly up as she turned around. She managed to get a glimpse of her apprentice flying over her and landing in the dirt, causing the older cat to stifle immediate laughter. The warrior retracted her claws and shook out her fur, purring in slight amusement. "I have to say I'm impressed, but you missed me just a bit on that last jump." Giving her chest a few licks, Badgerbite padded up to Ratpaw, dusting him off a bit with the tip of her tail. "That was good, but a mistake like that could cost you your life in a battle, or even worse one of your clan-mates lives." Her voice was flat as she scolded the apprentice for his mistake. Badger's gaze softened as she sat down next to Ratpaw, quietly licking her cracked pads before she chimed up. "I was like you when I was an apprentice, so don't worry. Sometimes you have to force yourself to complete the move, other times it comes naturally..." The molly trailed off, her gaze hardening as she lost herself in thought. It had been a long time since she had reminisced about her mentor, the feel of his fur between her claws, the choking smell of blood in her nose, the anger in his eyes. A badger had been her cover-up. Quite fitting really.

Ratpaw felt his heart warm up as his mentor cleaned off his pelt. He nodded in understanding, "I'll work harder on the jump." He mewed. His confidence improved as his mentor told him she had the same struggles as an apprentice. "Could we try the jump again, Badgerbite?" he asked.

Badgerbite pulled herself out of her thoughts, and rested her tail on the apprentices shoulder, a warm smile plastered on her face as Ratpaw reassured her that he would work on his moves. "The jump is a bit complex, I think we should work on more basic moves until you have proper control of everything." The molly tilted her head in thought, before ushering Ratpaw towards the middle, "Let's work on basic attacks with your front paws."
