Crowtooth was drooping with guilt as the announcement rang out morning the sort of loss of Coldamber. She wasnt dead certainly but it was good as when she didnt remember them at all... And sure it wasnt his fault, he and Gulltwist had found the injured medicine cat out on the territory and did their best to bring her back and get her help, theyd done nothing wrong but... It was hard not to feel like her current state was because they didnt do well enough. So he happily took the distraction anger provided.
"Hey! Shut up the both of you! Who are you to doubt Twilightstars decisions! She will decide whats best for the clan and you'll respect it as less experienced warriors of windclan! How dare you doubt her after all shes done for the clan do you have any respect? Probably not given you show Coldamber none after this tragedy for stars sake your clanmates been injured! If Twilightstar wants your help she'll ask for it you barking out suggestions like this only makes it seem like you dont care about what she'll choose.
Just they way they said this stuff seemed disrespectful and Crowtooth was not going to stand for it.

Redraven heard her name called and listened for the other names. Okay. Shimmernight, Featherfur, and Hedgepaw were her patrol mates. She glanced over the gaggle of cats that'd been sent on patrols and tried to figure out which cats she was supposed to be with. She didn't quite recognize any of them -- she hadn't been back in the clan long enough since rejoining to remember their names -- but she thought she heard someone call someone else 'Hedgepaw'. She walked on over to the two she assumed to be Featherfur and Hedgepaw, giving them a single nod. "Hey." Now that the three of them were ready, Redraven impatiently waited for Shimmernight, although if they didn't show up soon she was more than ready to go on without them.

Gulltwist decided hesitantly to speak up,” I think Snailswirl would work well as our temporary medicine cat, they just as much herb knowledge as Coldamber previously had, and they served us well for many moons, atleast for the time being. They were the one who saved Coldamber after all, I’m certain they can handle being a medicine cat again for a moon or two, and they can train our new medicine cat.” they meowed curious to see if Twilightstar would consider the choice or not. After hearing Crowtooth shout they added,” Though I’m sure you’ve already considered it.” she sheepishly meowed before ducking back into the den to check on her mother once more.

"Right give me a second." Darting off he quickly found some exposed root branches and broke them off carefully identifying some lose ones he could take without causing issues and dragged the bundle back to Maplebird. "Here are some sticks to reinforce soft bits and as long as you dont find too big or deep of a soft part you should be able to make some progress by packing in the walls as you dig. Remember test the area and try not and disturb it too much or you risk a cave in.
Once were done I'll take you on a long walk and show you how long treks work. I dont yet have a path to shadowclans territory, Fawnbriar, Breezefeather and I were working on that when everything went wrong and riverclans land is too unstable and wet to even attempt it but Ive one to the outskirts Ill show you."
He'd pull her out if a cave in happened and they could set off soon after. Long treks were a trial and a half but unknown and hidden paths into useful areas or enemy territory would be a boon. Stars Crowtooth was just waiting for the weather to turn to finish the shadowclan tunnel so they could strike against those foxhearts but that'd have to wait.

Whoo boy Maplebird really was flailing around there but Crowtooth thought she may have got one anyway. Though she might just get him too at this rate and nabbing his rabbits (plus one extra that had the bad luck to come to close to the tom) the cat backed up shooting a "Im gonna give you some space to hunt! Ill be just outside the tunnels, feel free to join me once youre done here we can head back to camp together." So grabbing his four large rabbits he started dragging them out blinking stunned as he was blinded by the sun and looking around to try and spot Skunkblaze. Who wasnt here. Where'd she go, there were two dead rabbits obviously killed by her here but no warrior? Ah there, padding back over to the entrance empty pawed, shame but it happened sometimes.
"Heya Im about ready to head back, just waiting for Maplebird to wrap up down there. You not having much luck up here?"

Petalpaw gasped. she had come to the meeting late but had come in time to hear the news about coldamber. the medicine cat was gone? she remembered that she was an apprentice now and tried to absorb the news without crying. she had always wanted to be a medicine cat... but how would that happen if coldamber was gone? she doubted in her mind that another clan would lend them a medicine cat. after all, her experience had shown the other clan had been all but kind to Windclan.
