Oak’Kit just barely missed the moss ball, it flew past him and landed in the fresh kill pile and afew pieces of prey fell over it. “Oh foxdung!” Oak’Kit cursed padding over to the fresh kill pile to try and fish out the moss ball

Red’paw sat near the fresh kill pile, hesitant to put it in it just yet, he wanted to show Owl’feather before he did.
Red’paw sat in wait, tail twitching semi-nervously. Then, suddenly, a moss ball flew into the fresh kill pile next to him, making Red’paw jump.

“You were so close Oakkit!” Hummingbirdkit meowed trying to reassure him. Whoops this was my fault! I bet a stronger kit wouldn’t have done that. I should help him! Her pelt prickling with embarrassment she padded after him. There were two apprentices sitting by. One of them, Reedpaw was it, had a piece of fresh kill in his maw, and a startled look in his eyes. Oh no! We’re holding them up from their duties!

“We’re so sorry!” The little white kit meowed with an apologetic blink. She put her muzzle and paws to work searching through the pile. I hope we won’t ruin it!

Red’paw shook his head to calm down, dropping the prey into his paws “ no worries! I’m just waiting here for my mentor. No need to be sorry” he smiled.
Oak’Kit was digging through the prey in the pile when he pulled out the small green moss ball. “Found it!” he exclaimed, picking it up and showing it to Hummingbird’kit

Oak’Kit turned to Needle’paw, glancing between her and Hummingbird’kit
“Uuuhm, what do you think Hummingbird’kit?” Oak’Kit asked, voice muffled from holding the moss ball between his jaws.

The young molly sighed in relief that Redpaw wasn’t angry. I’m so glad we’re not in the way! She knew kits were notorious for getting under paw. She grinned wide when she saw that Oakkit had found the mossball. A purr rumbled in her throat.

“Good job!” She meowed as she bounded over to him, completely forgetting about the mess they had just made. She turned to Needlepaw. An apprentice wants to play with us! She nodded fiercely. This would be so fun!

Oak’Kit got to his feet, Bouncing the mossball between his paws. “Okay! Everyone try and keep the ball off the ground!” he called, bouncing the ball up into the air for anyone to catch

Daisypaw-
(Posting this so she won’t go missing!)

Daisypaw sat close to the fresh kill pile listening. Her ‘mentor’ Badgersight had done nothing to train her while her former mentor, Maggotpaw was… well, Maggotpaw. She flicked her ear as a moss ball flew past Redpaw who was waiting patiently for someone to show his catch to. Daisypaw turned away as two kits stampeded after the moss ball. There where to many cats in this Clan.

To many to keep count of at least. she thought bitterly to herself. She grudgingly sat up as another apprentice… Needlepaw asked the kits to play with them.

Daisypaw let her large black paws lead her to the edge of camp, her black pelt blended in easily to the dark background. She scowled. Suddenly thoughts of Badgersight filled her mind.

Badgersight is going to cost me being a warrior! We haven’t done a single training session with him! Will I ever be a warrior with him as my mentor? she longed for Maggotpaw as her mentor again.

Her heart thumped in her chest as a thought seemed to slap her across the face, almost saying
‘Hey! I’m the obvious only solution!’

Her gaze hardened as the idea settled in.

She would take her training into her own paws.

Starrykit bounded out the nursery and padded around, ignoring her mothers calling for her. She looked around and wondered if she'd find other kits to play with!




Starrykit spotted the kits and apprentices playing, would they let her play with them?

The kit seemed to go and make themselves busy with other things, something she was glad over as she rasied a paw and let her sandpapery tongue to it's work in cleaning on the blood still left there after the battle with the fox. And just as she did Rainburst asked about it. Owlfeather rasied an eyebrow, she had just done the usual. "Skinned it, burried the remains outside ur land and brought the pelt to Dawnstar as I reported." She stopped for a moment to finish her grooming before drilling in her gaze in Rainburst. "I left out the little detail of your... slight braking of her rules, but I sugest, and this is with your best interest in mind, that you don't repeat it. After saying it her face smoothed out as if they two were simply talkun about the weather.
