Ok that was rough. Snailkit had just left the den and Peachfrost was still frazzled. He was a dollbaby of course, but goodness! With a huff, she shoved the leftover poppy seeds back to their place. "Only need ONE, not seven." She grumbled. How could a kit know more than her? Starclan gave her this job to help her clanmates and she knew less than a kit!

As if her day wasn't already bad enough, in walked Snakeheart. The two hadn't really interacted much, and she honestly was hoping it would stay that way. He seemed to be a bit chipper than usual. Great. The one time she wasn't feeling up to entertaining the intruders and they decide to strike up a conversation...

She was seconds away from rejecting his offer. Classic Riverclan, thinking they knew everything. It sure would be funny to see the shock on his face when she told him to beat it (and take that fishy smell with him!) She really could use the help though...

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to get a little lesson or two." She muttered, still facing the poppy seeds. This was humiliating...

She found it easier to scent anything or anyone, so she kept alert.

Dirtkit led the way, trying to act normal. He wondered if you could get in trouble for peeking onto the leader's den. "Almost there," He whispered.

Twilightstar relaxed a tad seeing as so many seemed just fine with the change. Even after being up here longer than she liked, she still got just a little bit nervous about how the clan would take shifts in ranks. Peachfrost seemed well-received by all. Either her clan's gotten used to her more or less strange decisions or they put far must trust than she felt warranted to her about such things like cats' placements. No seemed to visible or verbally be concerned about Beeblaze's rank. Obviously, Twilightstar frets too much about what her clan would and wouldn't fuss about.

"We've got some ceremonies to do. Foxkit [ @feather lily ], Snakekit [ @Bramblefire01 ], Dirtkit [ @FrostCat ], Rowankit [@Kyrieknight] and Echokit [ @ShadowWing65 ]." The leader decided against spilling all the bad news and saving it for last. She'd prefer the bad be fresh in her clanmate mind in order to better help her figure out how to deal with all of it.

oh, a cat was walking up to him. (it was safe to assume the she-cat was rosebriar. who else would it be?) beeblaze attempted to lean back and avoid rosebriars touch, but failed. (whoops, that was a normal thing for mentors and apprentices, wasn't it? touching noses. he never had to do it, so it was a foreign thing for him.) he was never a cat that liked physical touch, ironic for someone that used to be a medicine cat which required touching others.

"right," beeblaze nodded, green eyes narrowing just slightly at seeing the older cat look at his scars. he didn't think he'd ever get used to them , and some cat he barely knew (barely? he only knew her name) staring at them made him frown. they were just a constant reminder of the day he had been killed, they always ached whenever he thought about it.

(then again, could he really blame people for staring? not really. it was hard to not stare at something that stuck out so much.)

he studied the she-cat for a moment after her promise. she seemed very, er, happy-- overly happy, almost the opposite of him. he wondered if she was just acting like that for a good first impression or if she was just truly such a cheery cat. (most likely the first option, he found it a bit hard to believe that she sounded so happy just to be mentoring someone.)

but still, he felt glad that she didn't want to wait for forever to start his training. "good, i don't like waiting around when it comes to important things." he commented. well, training wasn't very important, but he still wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. it was a bit embarrassing being a warrior with a mentor. (at least he didn't have to go back to being an apprentice, yikes!)

"preferably we could start after the meeting or tomorrow." beeblaze said a bit quietly as twilightstar started speaking up once again, taking a moment to glance at the kits stumbling up towards the breezerock.
