beeblaze noted how rosebriar flashed him a smile after he frowned, but decided to just forget about it for the time being. (yeah, it definitely seemed like she was doing this for a good first impression. or maybe he was interpreting it the wrong way? both were likely, it was a fifty-fifty thing.)

but for now, he would just ignore it. even if she was being nice just for first impressions, he'd be able to deal with a difficult cat for a mentor. (he was also very difficult-- fighting fire with fire.) as long as rosebriar wasn't lazy, he'd be fine with anything. (or rather, most things.)

"I'm not tired, so we will be starting the training after the meeting." he responded sharply, almost in a matter of fact tone. even if he had been tired, he would have still trained! he was quiet for just a moment, wondering what type of training they should do first. hunting, he figured it was more important than battle. (fighting was dumb, very dumb. half of the time it was the clans fighting against eachother instead of cats fighting against predators!) "we'll do hunting first." woooww, sorta bossy.

The tunneller strolled into the nursery, a large grin on her maw. Spotting her mate, Maplebird hurried over. “Hey,, you doing okay?”” she meowed with an small lick (she had thankfully gotten better at those).

The queen, now halfway through pregnancy, sighed. Maplebird had visited her often, but she missed warrior duties! She huffed and heaved herself up to sit. She preferred that to lying on her stomach all day. She was in a corner, so she couldn't really see anyone enter. But she could immediately recognize the familiar scent of her mate. She looked to the entryway joyfully with her ears perked and spied her mate. Maplebird! she purred.
I'm doing fine. How have your tunnling duties been?

Her demeanor hardened into a shell of ice. She stalked over to Snakepaw and hissed into his ear, "I would ask, but it would be rude of me to tell the clan you have been visiting the Dark Forest." She pulled back and smiled coldly, "I expect you only want to know how to fight? That despite what I teach you, you will continue to think you are better than me?" Her ear twitched in annoyance, "Do what you wish, kit." She flicked her ear over his flank and walked back to her spot in the shadows.

So, my apprentice is evil. No surprise there. He had always seemed condescending, but the thought of a two-moon old kit training in the Dark Forest was almost funny. Especially since it was with Frogfang. When I was younger the trainers were actually smart, let alone dead. She had met the Shadowclan tom at a gathering and instantly knew he was evil. I mean, what kind of villain parades themselves about! Betrayal would be expected! She inwardly groaned, And that makes it boring. Silentstorm watched the rest of the meeting quietly, pondering one question, How can I bring him back? Also, could she seem like she was weak and then actually be strong? Or was he as good as he thought.

Ohh, she wondered if her favorite guy was around the corner. Waiting for her on this fated day. Today, she'd make a move! That'd be.. kind of hard though, considering sometimes he was.. pretty annoying. Trotting around with his entourage of mollies.. Nightfrost huffed as she continued to search for.. him.

The little griped complaint netted an almost chuckle from the grumpy cat as he slowly shook his head. "At least you know what they do, when I was first named medicine cat apprentice I didnt even know what they did. I was only vaguely aware it made cats sleepy anything else was a surprise. Also I may have dumped most of mine on your store, we had a huge store at riverclan for some reason. We didnt need it and with your amount of injured cats that might help." Coldamber, he really wanted at least some of these herbs to go to help the molly that didnt even remember him anymore.

With a nod of acceptance at her caving (he knew that was reluctance, though why he didnt know) he padded over to the herb store nabbing the herbs he aimed to teach in this session. The tom owed this lesson to windclan for all Peachfrosts predecessor did for him, he could cope with some annoyance for now. He couldnt teach everything in what time he had but the essentials he could do.
"Right you now know poppyseeds and the recommended doses now but that plus these these will be your stables for basically everything. Marigold, chew this into a salve and apply it to open wounds and it'll prevent infections, it can get rid of some infections too but generally the strong or established ones cant be taken care of with just marigold. You''d find it in sunny patches in a small bush. It also helps to clean wounds first dirt wounds inevitably mean infections, and then after wrap with cobwebs, thats another protective layer.
Next catmint, this sweet smelling leaf heals greencough and whitecough one of the most deadly illnesses a cat can face. Give one at a time and generally two doses of this during the course of the illness and the cat should be fine unless theyre weak. Find it in sheltered sunny areas near water.

I dont really know what injuries and illnesses are common so I dont know what other herb you might want to know to deal with that... Any issues youre facing or have seen in your life that you want to know about? Ill try and teach you more on a brief herb patrol before I go but theres only so much I can do at this time."
Crossed wires or confusion over a herb could kill a cat. Snakeheart refused to risk confusing Peachfrost here.

The medicine cats yelp was disgusted as it was alarmed, he'd figured it had to be a minor injury that the apprentice was stubbornly ignoring like the small cuts around his stomach; An injury that was better treated but not a critical one. That one on his leg however! Snakeheart gawped at the bone deep gash the apprentice had been refusing to get treated for a moment before recovering and snapping harshly.
"Thats your injury!? Mudpaw that cut is really serious, you could lose your leg if it got infected at worst and if you avoid it you seriously risk ending up with a permanent limp is likely even ignoring the scarring! What were you thinking not getting healed, I see BONE! Who the hell is your incompetent mentor that they haven’t dragged you to the medicine cats den?! I no longer have any hope in your intelligence but they should know better then some thick apprentice! Stay put and one of you two" He barked looking at the Birdbrain and Batglare "watch him. Im treating this now before it ends up killing you."

His snapping was more in line with how Snakeheart treated his clanmates and not the polite mannerism he'd been taking during the visit but he'd been blindsided here. The apprentice could take his scolding in exchange for the medicine cat saving his dumb tail here. With that Snakeheart stormed off grabbing burdock cobwebs and a single poppyseed from the herb storage here doing his best to hurry.

Fernpaw was pleased to see Beeblaze recognized him, and he waved his tail excitedly. "Yeah, we were Starcats together!" Even if they never spoke or formally met, that familiarity was a comfort to him. It merely solidified his belief in death's temporary grasp: nothing was permanent when even the Old Dead returned.

His attention was torn from Beeblaze at the realization RiverClan was here, and as an extension.. "FISH CATTTT!"

He wasted no time in sprinting through the crowd to launch himself at Kestrelwing's side. His entire plan was to tackle Kestrelwing, but the chances of that working were incredibly slim when he wasn't even half of Kestrelwing's size.
