For a moment, Koistream was left wheezing as he gasped for air and cleared his nostrils of water. He staggered onto his three paws, trying not to slide down the muddy bank but his white fur was quickly stained brown. "Bleh... Great! Now my fur, it's all messed up!"

Sparkblaze flinched when he wheezed, and moved towards him. She nosed him up, then licked his pelt, not thinking. "Are you okay?" She asked nervously. "I wonder how hard it is to have only three legs..." Sparkblaze thought, still making an attempt to lick his pelt clean.

Koistream was left panting as he struggled to climb up the slippery bank, exhaustion making him stagger as he went limp on the grassy edge. "I'm tired, to be honest." He murmured softly, closing his odd coloured eyes for a moment as he tried to catch any grasp of enegry.

Hollywatcher watched Fernpaw’s attempt at catching a fish. It failed but it wasn’t that bad. She gave her a warm smile and nodded in approval, brushing her tail over her back in comfort. “You did a good job for your first try! Just know that, you can’t catch everything on your first attempt.“ She recalled what Fernpaw had done. “Although instead of using one claw, use all of them and wait till the fish is closer to the edge and surface.”

Fernpaw blinked a thank you to her mentor. "May I try again?" she asked, eager to catch a fish to put in the fresh kill pile in her home clan.

Hollywatcher grinned encouragingly and flicked her tail. She was happy that Fernpaw wasn’t too upset about not catching the fish. There was plenty more where that came from. “Of course! You don’t need to ask. We’re here to hunt and get better at it too. That means trying again when you don’t succeed.” She sat down.
