He heard something and turned around to see a big muscular cat staring at him, apparently beeing Rumblewolf, he woke up and walked silently toward him, avoiding to disturb any of his clanmates, when he reached him, he'd asked in a low voice "Rumblewolf I presume?"
RUMBLEWOLF
⸻⸻⸻
Observing the other tomcat as he padded silently over to him, the massive dark-gray warrior was grateful that this fellow wasn’t heavy-footed and strived to make as less noise as possible, which was already a wonderful trait in his book. “The one and only.” Rumblewolf replied in his usual tone, which was extremely deep and low. Without saying a word about it, the strong ShadowClan tomcat patted the ground beside him with his large, fluffy tail to give Blackhawk permission to sit with him. It wasn’t something he did, but this was a special occasion. “What do you still need to be taught?” He asked simply, coming out as a mere murmur. He wasn’t used to training a fully adult cat, and more so young apprentices with a blank slate, so it would be best to ask rather than to assume. Not much time passed before he returned his gaze to Dawnstar.
Finally, he and the rest of his clanmates were graced with the reason to why the leader was in such a sour mood. Rumblewolf listened silently as the giant brown-furred molly listed off all the chaos that had happened to ShadowClan during the past two moons. It did appear to be more than a fair reason to be so upset, knowing anyone here with a brain would've reacted the same. However, her so-called buddy system that was being implemented made the fluffy gray-furred warrior frown. Well, that certainly was gonna screw up his daily routine for awhile. The clear idiocy of other clanmates, of course, had to ruin it for everyone else. He swallowed an irritated growl that was threatening to escape his throat.
Then, something seemed to take the Queen of Shadows attention away from their clanwide scolding, which perked Rumblewolf's attention. His amber-gaze swung over to the camp's entrance, amongst many others, as a non-ShadowClan scent drifted through the air. What the hell was going on now? He thought rather irritably, his claws immediately sliding out as the young warrior prepared himself to defend this camp.
Once all the apprentice ceremonies had been over and completed with, the lithe grey-brown dame didn't let her gaze wander from Dawnstar's tense form. The Shadow Queen was obviously still upset, and as the leader's words belted out one after another, it was very clear to see that that rage was justifiable. More death, more stupidity, dogs?????, and more missing cats. Most of this was news to Larkfire, because nearly every moment of free time she got was spent taking out random apprentices to train. Or at least, trying to shove apprentices out of their dens to go find their mentors and train, because both warriors and apprentices needed to do work now and then.
It was Dawnstar's next statement that caused some uproar among the sea of ShadowClanners. Apparently some did not being bossed around, and Lark understood that, because practically everyone in ShadowClan had an ego. Amber hues skittering across the faces of her gathered clanmates, landing precisely on a more familiar one. Mintbranch [ @MangoLovesCheese ]. The look was brief, however, and Larkfire once again turned away. He was of no importance to her, she had just happened to look upon him by chance, and she'd probably never do so again, unless they were assigned to patrol. A buddy system. It was hilarious, watching her clanmates bicker and complain about something so minor, but they could do what spoke to themselves. If being headless sounded like a neat trick nowadays, Lark wouldn't step in the way between their necks and Dawnstar's unforgiving claws.
Apprentices too had been rid of their privilege, and this was something Lark wholly supported. She'd spotted and seen too many apprentices waltzing out of camp on their own, and it was something Lark entirely disapproved of. She herself had never left camp alone as an apprentice, save for the one time she'd followed Darkfall out of pure impulse. Next came the mentors, and Lark couldn't help but raise a brow at the elaboration of the shame anyone would be facing if they broke these rules. That should stain their ego-istic minds. Maybe they'd finally see some sense...
What was that smell? It was highly tangible in the air, and Larkfire's head swiveled around to focus on the camp entrance moments after Dawnstar drew herself up to her full height. She would recognize that scent anywhere. Paws shifting, the youngest enforcer's attention was drawn to Vixendance as the blind tom entered the clearing, looking rather proud of himself. Ah. One of the many clanmates Larkfire had never interacted with. And he reeked of a scent Lark had embossed into her mind. WindClan. Humming oh-so-silently, Larkfire let her claws slide out of their holders, tapping gently against the earth beneath her paws in a menacing fashion as the youngest Enforcer focused her attention on ShadowClan's entrance. Orange hues of fire flared to life as sharp, lethal intelligence made its entrance, lurking dangerously behind that impenetrable firewall. Well, this interruption ought to be good, if arriving unannounced in the heart of ShadowClan's land was so important.
[ Mango, you don't need to reply. Lark only briefly looked in Mintbranch's direction, that's all. ]

He sat and said, with a low voice "Nice to meet you! I need almost everything to know about the life in the clans, you know, the Outskirts are not a good place to learn about the clans and their life..." he listened to what Dawnstar said and didn't react, it wasn't concerning him, because he never left the camp.... Suddenly, The Queen of Shadows seemed to smell something and stared at the camp entrance, Blackhawk sniffed the air, a strange smell was floating oh no... he thought, he tensed, ready to charge forward to defend the clan in case of an attack, his claws were unsheated, in the Outskirts, there was a answer that came up about the clan battlefields, "Down in the mud and blood..." he repeated inside his head...

Mintbranch glanced at Larkfire and looked away. What did he care about her? Dumb enforcers, dumb buddies. Dumb rules. Mintbranch looked in the direction of Pepperleaf and then back to his leader, he finally stood. His tail pointed upwards, never in his life had he ever spoke up or at all in a meeting. He rarely spoke at all, but he meowed to Dawnstar with a dip of respect. "May I speak?"
Deadwish grinned "Surprise surprise! Shy boy can really talk" he sneered. Freezing and clamping his maw shut at a sharp glance from Pepperleaf.
ShadowClan's territory sucked! How the heck did they figure out where to go stuck in this cramped, suffocating forestry? It was so freaking dark! Despite her distaste for their habitat, Twilightstar trudged through murky woodland, allowing Vixendance to take the lead not long after they entered ShadowClan's border. Twilightstar would have gotten turned around in here otherwise, and although she could have waited at the border, seeing as how prickly ShadowClan cats could be, she felt it faster just to make their way to the heart of the forest.
The leader made sure that she had Stumpypoppy, Fallownose, and Peachfrost at all times while following Vixendance's seemingly endless zigzagging around the forest. He was surprisingly mobile for a blind cat. Eventually, the reek of ShadowClan and pine became near overwhelming as they were brought to a gorge, as Vixendance announce his arrival, smirking like he wasn't going to get his ears ripped off, Twilightstar carefully began climbing down the rocky slope that descended into the gorge. "Mind your manners." She hissed under her breath to her patrol mates.
Twilightstar could practically see the hostility and tension radiating off the ShadowClan cats as she set foot in their camp, their eyes on them long before they showed up at the entrance. The breeze must have alerted ShadowClan of their presence. One wrong move or word and she could see them setting upon her and her patrol like a pack of rabid coyotes. Even so, the heavily scarred, WindClan leader strolled past Vixendance, and towards the large stone where an abnormally large, battle-scarred, she-cat stood grinning like a fox in a fit. Twilightstar moved with the same icy confidence and regal air as she did among her own clanmates. She lifted her green eye, aged with the wisdom and experience half these hot-head, prideful, frogs could only dream of obtaining, and met the piercing, burning amber eyes.
"Dawnstar." The lilac-gray oriental dipped her chin in the barest of greetings. Considering that she and her patrol had more or less barged in, and apparently interrupted a clan meeting, she felt it fair to keep this as short and quick as possible. "I'm here on urge business, that one," She waved her tail towards the smirk blind tom, "went trespassing and invaded my camp, trying to steal one of WindClan's kits. Instead of killing him for his transgressions, I figured it'd be better to bring him back to his clan. And before you start, yes, I already scolded my clan and told them to be more mindful of our kits." Twilightstar had been dealing with the Quen of Shadows long enough to pick up a few of her more obvious habits, such as reminding the clans that they should be holding their own responsible for mistakes like letting a blind cat slip into their camp and blah, blah, blah.
Twilightstar was followed by the flame-point, Fallownose, and Peachfrost. Shadowclan was so slimy. So very gooey! Even as he trekked through the area, he spotted a wriggling snail. And those strange, slimy creatures that croak. He appeared to mimic their croaking call. Observing with amusement how their necks broaden with each rumbling. "Croak, croak, croak." This place was quite dark. As he entered Shadowclan camp, he felt as though ominous clouds were pouring on him. To witness everyone's blazing gaze, which was essentially grilling his skin with just a single glance. As he turned back to look at Twiligihtstar, his muscles stiffened. He made an effort to divert his attention from them. It was just so ergh! He questioned whether anyone else on his patrol shared his sentiments. He also nearly stepped into a chilly puddle. Defintely mud. He couldn't help but hurriedly move his blue gaze over to Dawnstar's horrifyingly scarred body. He had the impression that he was in a giant's world. Within the very heart of enormous darkness! How on earth could a cat like him ever dare to think that looking at her may be okay? Dawnstar? Closer to Duskstar. Along with his tush wriggling, his stump also twitched. Everyone in Shadowclan lacked a smile. These grumpy little froggers.
It was a little odd. Surely everyone needs a lively activity? Shadowclanners were peculiar, they are peculiar. in addition to observing Shadowclans cat population in relation to their minor patrol. Oh, dear, they would be slaughtered in a matter of seconds. His brilliant blue eyes felt as though they were watering with anxiety. I don't want to get massacred! More so to even get my ear chomped! He was a stark contrast to the dark atmosphere of Shadowclan, with his bright fur. He obviously needs bright fur because he was born under the sky. Brightly gracious. Didn't cat colors evolve according to where they were born? Or even their territory? Or genes? Agh set that aside. Lost in thought as Shadowclan was easily informed of their arrival by Twilightstar. Blah, blah, blah, kit snatching, stinking frogs and snails, random blind Shadowclanner, blah, blah.
It wasn't that Shadefrost didn't think his leader's judgement was right or anything along that line, he just couldn't see why he had to get punished for another cat's mistake. Not that this was much of a punishment, but it was nice being able to leave and do things alone without others being around you know. The tom released a sigh low enough not to be heard by someone nearby. Then he saw his leader ready herself for battle. Confusion was the first thing to enter into his mind, then understanding as the Shadowclan leader's words finally registered. "Oh, this isn't what I signed up for," he grumbled under his breath as he turned to see what danger was waiting to take his life.

Shadowfur felt irritation boil within him at Dawnstar’s next announcements- not because he was angry at the changes, but because his Clanmates were severely wearing on his patience. Was it that hard to be sensible? He could understand mistakes from young apprentices, but older apprentices and warriors? No. Dawnstar’s new changes were absolutely fair.
He shot a serious look down at Sagepaw, who had made his way over. “You’d better obey these new rules,” he growled. “I won’t hesitate to drag you into Dawnstar’s den if you don’t.”
The sudden scent of WindClan grabbed his attention. His claws immediately unsheathed, and he was on his feet. He stood protectively over Smokekit, ready to defend him from what could be an impending attack.
The Enforcer relaxed as a WindClan patrol arrived in peace. He then grew thoroughly annoyed again as Twilightstar revealed the reason for their visit: a ShadowClan warrior had broken into their camp and tried to steal their kits. For StarClan’s sake!

Oh, great. No more night trips then. Had Mirehound revealed something to Dawnstar? She hoped not, but at least her name wasn't mentioned. The leader didn't even seem to notice her after her apprentice ceremony, so maybe she didn't have anything to do with these announcements at all. But it still sucks.
A murmuring suddenly broke the quiet that was usual to surround Dawnstar's meetings. Many cats at once turned their gazes away, and Moonpaw followed them as well to find out something really weird was going on now. Oh, crap! That was really another clan's patrol! This was the most exciting meeting she'd been part of until now.
The newly made apprentice got closer to the clanmates at the front, so that she had an excuse to get closer to the intruders and get a closer look. They smell so weird... I wonder who they are! She was just going to ask the warrior beside her, but the the cat leading the patrol started talking. Wait - Windclan? Shadowclan stealing kits? That must be Twilightstar!
Moonpaw stared curiously at the newcomers, but a prick of worry tickled her mind and made her look away to glance at her own leader. Does.. Dawnstar really steal kits from other clans...? The thought seemed reasonable enough under such cruel, vicious ruler, but it was too much even for her. Right? We have enough kits here, so... why?
Suddenly she didn't feel safe anymore. She shrunk back, deciding to remain in the shadows while Dawnstar reacted to all of that...
Fallownose followed after Twilightstar and Vixendance, a frown plastered on his face. ShadowClan territory felt too cramped, and the slush that covered the ground was gross. He would never understand how they lived here, but they would probably never understand why WindClan lived on the moors. The mention to mind their manners prompted Fallownose to give the leader a nod to show his acknowledgment. As much as he disliked ShadowClan, Dawnstar in particular, he would not do anything to cause a fight or start trouble.
The WindClan deputy tensed slightly as they made their way into camp, clearly interrupting a Clan meeting. Dawnstar was already looking at them, and then grin on her face was disturbing, but Fallownose didn't let it affect him. Vixendance's declaration of being back and posturing like he was oh-so-important caused him to give the ShadowClan cat a distasteful look, did not comment.
Twilightstar quickly explained the situation, and the slate-gray tom forced his fur to remain flat as the attempted kidnapping was brought up again. He still had no idea how the warrior had snuck into camp, but hopefully with the Guardians being reimplemented that would soon be fixed.
