Bunnypaw glanced around camp, she wanted to get some training, but her mentor was no where to be found, she was eight moons old and had only seen the territory, hopefully a warrior might finally teach her to hunt, she was given shelter in Windclan until she could support herself then she’d be on her own. She loved Windclan, but she had to eventually leave, Twilightstar was willing to keep her alive til she could survive on her own, but that was her destiny, she had to endure it.

Breezedapple was bringing in a rabbit to put on the fresh-kill pile. She hadn't been hunting for a while and thought she might go out again. She dropped the rabbit, then noticed Bunnypaw, looking around camp. "Hey there, Bunnypaw," Breezedapple greeted her.

Cloversplash followed Honeysage doubtfully. His avoidance to twolegplace seemed strange, but... who was she to judge? Maybe she was just looking too far into things.

Looking around the rocks was stupid, Cloversplash finally realized. There wouldn’t be anything here. The patrol was just wasting time. “Honeyfern,” she called. “I don’t think we’re going to find anything. Maybe we should go toward our original destination...?” Cloversplash asked as tactfully as she could, gaze hopeful as she leaned toward the patrol leader.

Bunnypaw felt her paws finally tingle with a sensation other than a very bad urge to raise them at any cat. She'd found her way out of camp and was now stalking around the adder-infested rocks around her. She raised her nose a bit; she'd be the coolest cat in the Apprentice's Den if she came back with a dead adder! She'd look so fearless, so brave..

She stalked around, glancing at the small openings that were the adder's entrances in and out of their rock-like dens. She put one paw over the next slowly, her ears pricked and tail dragging though. She froze as one of the rocks moved a bit and one of the adders put its head into the air a bit, looking around aimlessly before slithering ahead away from Bunnypaw. Maybe it smelled prey nearby. She smirked at the idea of the adder killing prey only for her to kill it right after, now confident to bring an adder and a piece of prey back to camp.

Stalking after it she watched it go over to a small hole, dipping its head into the pocket. She stalked over and eventually leaped onto the snake, yet she seemed to leap a bit too far and fell in front of the adder. Picking herself up she looked around at her fur rapidly, giving a sigh of relief when she didn't see any sign of the adder biting her. She found the snake was gone, though. Where had it gone? Then she looked down at the hole and found it wildly twisting and turning in a small collection of water. It must've been drinking from it before she startled it. She watched it struggle, its limbless body being helpless against its inevitable demise. Then it went limp. It died.

Bunnypaw reached her paw into the water and grabbed it, the tail jerking a bit, but she decided to ignore it. She'd got one! Glancing around she then stalked off; she'd got what she originally came for. The extra prey seemed like too much now. Now she could be the bravest Apprentice in the whole Clan! She darted off to show her adder off.

Bunnypaw sneaked her way around the more secluded parts of camp; she'd been here for awhile now, she knew where the best places to sob and be alone were by now, and her Clanmates still stayed away from those places, which was great for her; she had a feeling the Warriors, Wolffang and Twilightstar wouldn't be very happy to see an Apprentice holding an adder into camp, but the other Apprentices would probably be so impressed! She gleamed at the thought; finally, to be recognized by her Clanmates was like a dream, and it would finally come true!

Bunnypaw padded into the Apprentice's den, holding the, still wriggling, adder in her jaws. She dropped it and announced; "Look at this; I caught an adder, all by myself! I know it's awesome! Does anyone want to know how I caught it?--" She stopped as she saw the adder wriggle more, then begin slithering around, hissing. Uh oh...

Bunnypaw glanced at the Warrior and flinched, growling defensively. "An adder, can't you see it?! Now help me get rid of it before it bites someone!" She hissed, watching the adder closely.
