Coldstripe stepped in, standing beside the shecat. "I believe she could be very useful, and I don't think it would be right to let this former kittypet die alone in the forest. We would be saving a life, Crowwing." The old tom meowed, glaring at the deputy. Coldstripe believed he could make up for killing his brothers, and he hoped Crowwing would think of it as making up for almost killing a young shecat.

Shade kept quiet and sat down, listening to the four talk. She had some other thoughts racing through her mind, and thought of something. This is the perfect time to do a sneak attack on Shadepaw. She gave a light grin as she silently got up, stealthily moving behind Shadepaw, and getting into a quiet hunting stance. She kept her tail still, and soon leapt off into the air, aiming directly at Shadepaw to see if he would notice before she got him.

For Making me realize that its not about saving the clan alone, but saving others" She saw Shade creeping up on ShadePaw and purred in amusement. Laughter shone in her gaze.

His tone softened as Coldstripe replied, forgiveness and empathy in his wise old sapphire eyes. He looked up at the silver sky, golden rays of sunlight filtering through the platinum clouds. "We should start heading back. It looks as if it might rain, or get a bit cold." Coldstripe leaned in. "Do you think we should tell him?" He whispered.

Shwift watched silently, studying the cat's facial expressions.

Seeing as Shadepaw hadn't noticed her yet, she leaped off into the air to pounce on him in silence, wanting to see how he would react to a true sneak attack.

Shadepaw yowled in surprise as he suddenly felt something weigh down on his back. He whipped around to see Shade, smiling triumphantly.
"You scared me!" he mewed, a hint of laughter in his voice.

Shade chuckled and smiled, saying, "I couldn't resist doing a real test on you, and based on how distracted you were, you never noticed that I was silent the whole time." She got off of him and sat down, still smiling.
