Emberlight padded quietly behind Batscreech, her sides still sore from the wounds she had received from the patrol battle with Shadowclan. This was her first time out of the medicine den and Emberlight wasn’t sure whether being in hunting patrol was better than the border patrol.

She was still getting used to seeing with only one eye so she worried that her hunting was going to be affected. Her pelt bristled with premature embarrassment, and she started worrying about what her clanmates would think.

She glanced up in worry and anticipation as Batscreech mentioned they would hunt by the borders.

Would they be by the Shadowclan border? What if they ran into another patrol? Would Grimhound be there? Would she get to see him again? What would she say to him? Did he remember her?

Emberlight‘s mind spin with a million questions as her heart was both excited and terrified at the same time.

Perhaps she would be able to see the massive Shadowclan warrior! Those amber eyes would finally meet her grays— gray eye. Even a glimpse of the other made Emberlight’s heart pound. He was both her attacker and savior; Emberlight was fighting with how to feel about the tom.

Her injured eye suddenly stung and Emberlight took a quick panicked inhale.

What was she thinking?! He was the one who took her sight, she couldn’t be excited to see him! Especially infront of her clanmates! Starclan, what would they think.

Nervously she dug her claws into the earth as she shook her head, trying to empty her thoughts.

Thistlewing padded into the clearing around the Breezerock. She sat down and listened up for what Twilightstar had to say.

Breezedapple smiled to herself, glad she was chosen to go on a hunting patrol. She stood up and beckoned Bunnypaw to do so as well. Her apprentice had been with her when Wolffang was giving out orders. This would be a good time for Bunnypaw to practice her hunting skills. Breezedapple knew Bunnypaw could do it - she just needed practice.

She padded up to Creeckdash and Sunflowerbee. "Let's hurry," She meowed. "I really don't think we want to be late. Wolffang's in a sour mood today."

Silentstorm sat up blearily, watching Twilightstar with sleepy eyes.

Seakit sat in the front of the crowd, wrapping his long tail around his paws,The black and grey tabby transgender tomcat had an angry expression plastered onto his face.

[This is a continuation of my roleplay with Angelique and a Leader's Den approach rolled into one! I thought I would mention this to avoid potential confusion]

At Specklepaw's attempt at a threat, Embershard broke out in a voracious laugh. Did Specklepaw really think she'd ever be enough to lay a claw on her? If she had a shred of intelligence in that delayed head of hers, she'd know so much as a threat Embershard's way was a horrible idea. If Embershard so much as saw Specklepaw anywhere near the border she'd kill her without hesitation. And if she needed to, she'd blame her death on whoever she could.

After checking to ensure she had chased Specklepaw out of WindClan, Embershard snorted disdainfully. She couldn't uphold this tedious process of keeping weaklings out of her life on her own since she wasn't in charge around here. So she'd have to take it up with Twilightstar.

Great. That was just what she'd wanted to end her day with.

She stepped near Twilightstar's den immediately after arriving in camp, golden eye burning with hatred for her worthless, weak former Apprentice. Even she had helped with the dogs and she was the cat who'd set up the attack--the attack that thankfully helped her weed out Specklepaw from the mix of competent cats who actually served their purposes.

"Specklepaw has left WindClan," she announced. Paws firmly on the ground, Embershard leaked confidence. She knew Specklepaw's departure had nothing to do with her mentorship. No, that foolish, wounded Apprentice was just too broken to be fixed. "I want permission to kill her on sight if she reappears in our territory."

Duskfrost grumbled and came over. Lioncloud sat by miststone.

Cricketfire ducked out of the warriors den, fur fluffed up. Doing what he always did, he looked around the clearing for his daughters. Maybe they had come back? Looking for the dappled pelt of Spottedpaw, and the tabby pelt of Sweetpaw, he didn't see her. Disappointment washed over him, and he lowered his head again. Twigpaw was here, but he never saw him anymore. Spotting Miststone, he made his way over to her. Hey. He said softly, licking her cheek in greeting. How you doing?

The she-cat smiled slightly as one of her best friends sat down beside her. However, while looking in Lioncloud’s direction, she didn’t notice her mate approach and lick her cheek. She jerked, a bit surprised, before relaxing and turning to smile at him too. “I’m good! Though the... punishment Wolffang gave me is a little humiliating, I’m pressing on.” She had whispered the last part to Cricketfire. It was true Miststone didn’t approve of the deputy, but after all, he was the deputy, and she’d respect that.
