Rabbitkit was inspecting his latest find: a small, oddly shapen twig he thought looked like a rather interesting shape! It reminded him of when it rains, and little streams of water get into the ground and puddle; he'd only seen it once, on his supervised visit to the clearing after a very long day of rain. It had perplexed him, as did much of the wide world around him. He placed it in amongst his own little stash, filled with other small objects; some other twigs, some small little rocks, a seashell a warrior had given him (his absolute favourite!) and some funny looking moss balls. He was quite the collector, mostly because it gave him something to do whilst the other kits play fought. He didn't like play fighting. Some of the other kits called him a wuss, but he wasn't scared! He just didn't want to hurt anybody, that's all. His tiny, fluffy form continued to inspect his budding collection - to everyone else they were just sticks that had ended up in the nursery, but to him they were treasures! You see, Rabbitkit thought of himself as quite the little explorer. What he lacked in fighting potential he certainly made up for in curiosity! He was constantly searching the small confines of the nursery, and on lucky days, the clearing, for new interesting things he'd never seen before! He'd give them their own names, and would happily watch them play their role out in the world. His absolutely favourite find was a ladybug! He was amazed by the ideas of flight, and the teenie tiny red and black-spotted bug inspired all sorts of inquisitiveness from the tom-kit. He was away with the fairies, as elders would say, as he daydreamed about all the adventures he could go on as an apprentice. It was the only part of his upcoming apprenticeship that made him excited; every other part made him paralysed with dread. What if he wasn't allowed his favourite seashell in the apprentice's den?! Suddenly a new panic set in, and he began frantically planning how to smuggle it in there.
Rabbitkit was playing with his sticks again. Ratkit didn't get what was so interesting about them, but they were important to him, and she'd figured out: don't mess with the sticks.
Messing with Rabbitkit, though, that was different. She crept up, tail whipping around in excitement, and launched herself in a clumsy pounce.
"Boo!" she laughed, hitting Rabbitkit's side. It was a clumsy tackle, and she ended up mostly on the ground. She grinned at him. "Are you playin' with sticks again?"

Rabbitkit was too busy panicking about his collection to even hear Ratkit's approach. He let out a startled yelp as he toppled over, falling onto his rump with a pout. He would have been upset, had it not been Ratkit that knocked him, She was perhaps one of his only real friends; despite his odd traits and lack of good play fighting skills, she was nice to him. "Ratkit! You scared me," He announced, as if that fact hadn't already been made obvious from his surprised yelp moments ago. At her question, he gazed to the side to his little treasure trove; a fond look of pride on his face. He knew she meant nothing mean by the question, so he smiled, "Yeah! Look at this cool new one I found," He started, using his paw to pat at the latest edition to his collection. He quickly snapped his gaze back to her, concern etched on his features, "Do you think they'll let me bring it all when we become apprentices?" He inquired, hoping that whatever her answer was it wasn't 'no they're band'. He'd probably cry. He loved his little collection, they were his and he couldn't leave them behind!
A hunting patrol? Well, better than the last patrol he went on, heh... okay he shouldn't have that on his mind, it was disturbing. Creamcloud and, Creekdash, what was with him getting on patrol with cats whose names began with C? Odd thought but, it's better than thinking about the slaughtered corpses at the Shadowclan border. Stonemask went to Creekdash, as long as he didn't have to see another corpse that wasn't a rabbit, mouse, or form of prey, he'd be fine.
Creekdash heard his name called again for another hunting patrol. Getting up he padded over to where his clanmates were supposed to meet with him. If they didn't get here soon he would go without them.
Literally patrol after patrol, the last thing she wanted to do was a patrol. She hated going on patrols. She let out a sigh and picked herself up. She bounded over to her patrol mates, creekdash and stonemask. Those names sounded bleh. She sighed, “Im here, let’s go.”
Ratkit giggling, leaping off her friend and letting him get up. She looked at the stick he was pawing at; it looked mostly like all the other sticks he found. Maybe twisted a little funny.
She scoffs at his question. "Just carry your sticks in. What are they gonna do 'bout it?" She brushed against his side, arcing her back, playful. "'Sides, if they do get all weird about it, we can just sneak 'em in! Hide 'em under moss and stuff."
She danced to the side, nudging Rabbitkit as she went. "C'mon! Come play with me. No fighting, even," she added, generously. "We can play hide 'n seek! I bet we can get Drykit to play too."
Guststrike sprints into the clearing. He looks around for a moment. Then walks as calmly as he can. He looked around but with no result. Where was Elderflare? He wanted to tell him something. @WarriorzFan

Elderflare had nothing to do so he was on the lookout for others to talk to. He spied Guststrike and padded on over. He had no plans for the day and would have spent it talking happily with his best friend, or one of them, not that he had many. "Guststrike! Looking for Someone?" he said happily.

Guststrike turned and his expression lit up without him wanting it to. He felt his face heat up a little.
"As a matter of fact, I was looking for you, Elderflare." He said, looking down at his front paws shyly.

"Ah yes, well, what can I help you with?" he said, confused on why Gust looked so abashed.
