Spiritflight nodded in return. He glanced around the wooded area, howling to see something. What...what's that? "Hey, so you know what that is?" He asked Oakflame, pointing to a strange orange object in the floor in front of them.

Oakflame looked at the orange object. He layed down the rabbit, inspecting the object curiously. "Huh?" He hummed, padding over to it.

This was exciting! Lionstorm never thought he'd be on patrol with RiverClan's dynamic leader, but it seemed it was his lucky day. Not only were they heading toward one of the borders, but he was also alone with Fallenstar. There would never be another opportunity as perfect as this one.

To say Lionstorm was bored with Clan life would be an understatement. He was a young warrior, ambitious and eager to fight and taste blood, and he knew Fallenstar was quick to rile up. He knew there were plenty of tensions among the other Clans, and that was fine and dandy, but what did Fallenstar think about outsiders?

Rogues, loners. Filthy kittypets. Usually, they weren't an issue, but with the territory having been abandoned so long Lionstorm had detected some scents on their land. Not many, but enough where he believed he could convince Fallenstar to act against them.

Trotting eagerly alongside the black leader, Lionstorm decided to wait to bring up his suspicions. He wanted to get to know Fallenstar, see how easy it was to get his claws hooked under his pelt. If he was as reactive as Lionstorm thought, stirring tensions with outsiders could be fun. Much more enjoyable than picking off the occasional cat by himself. "It's nice out for Leaf-bare," he commented. "I hope the other Clans are sticking to their territory. They've left a nasty taste around ours while they got fat off our prey."[/FONT]

It felt nice, to be in their own territory once again. Much cleaner than the Dusk Syndicates former territory. Fresher. However, with the whole getting driven out ordeal they needed to double check their borders, not only with the neighboring clans, but with the outer territories as well. Outer sections of the forest that didn't really belong to any clan...not really, they were just there, most of the time lost kittypets and loners took shelter in these little plots of land. They didn't need a full patrol to check on those areas, the Kittypets never put up a fight, and Loners never tended to travel in packs, so two or three warriors were enough to chase them off.

So it was just himself and Lionstorm. He had only seen the other tom strutting about camp here and there, but he had never stopped the golden tom and spoken to him. They had really only just met after the...incident that occured the other day. The ebony tom was still a little peeved about the joke the warrior decided to crack at the time. Thinking of this made him swivel his head to the side and give the golden tabby the stink eye, lips pursed together forming a...pout of sorts. Though, the second he looked at the tabby he began to speak. Speak about leaf-bare and how the clans left their territory tainted with their stink. It made the burly tom wrinkle his nose and let out a snort. "I hope one of them choked on it." he huffed, a cloud pluming from his muzzle, than disappeared above his head. Luckily New-Leaf was going to be here soon, dethawing their rivers, frigid air replaced with that of a slightly warmer temperature.

Fallenstar continued on further into their territory at a slower pace, he didn't really feel like going back to camp anytime soon anyways. Things still rough with Cedarsprint, clanmates expecting him to choose a deputy right away, but after what happened with Daisyshade...he didn't have it in him. Now wasn't the time to dwell on those thoughts though, the whole reason why he threw himself in a small border patrol was to get away from them. "Before we get there, I'm sure you know this, but we just want to chase them off. They're just kittypets and loners, we don't have to waste anymore physical effort on them." he stated, glancing at his companion for a few seconds before focusing on what was in front of him once more, trying not to trip over rocks or logs.
