Coldhearted scanned the area, just to find a nice spot of where he would be able to relax. Relax and settle down into a comfortable state. He would had loved to move back into the Warriors' den but thought best not to, so as he continued to limp towards a good spot, he stole a glance towards Cloverwhisker. He purred lightly at her touch, and stopped at once at realizing his sudden affection for the she cat was growing. "Eh, no problem." His green eyes blinked at her from the sudden appreciation, and he settled himself down in a nice spot. Far enough from the other cats, but close enough to know it was sort of shadowclan's territory. The tom began to groom himself, cleaning himself from the dirt and dried blood that made him feel uncleaned. He noticed the lack of chatter coming from his companion, so he lifted his head to look at the grey feline. "You alright?" He asked her softly. It was perfect enough for him to show his kindred side. Something that he didn't want to be judged about if he were in the company of the other cats. Without their prying eyes on them, Coldhearted felt that he was good enough to be himself. "You seem very...thoughtful." He assumed, softly. His voice carrying on a deep husky whisper. He used his tail to slither it around the she cat in a comfortable manner.

"Mhm." Coldhearted stared at her through the corner of his orbs. She cats were such a mystery to him sometimes. She went from being affectionate to being quiet. Did the ton do something wrong? Coldhearted didn't know, and he wasn't in a rush to ask. Maybe all she cats acted that way. He didn't know. "You don't sound so sure of yourself, but I understand it." He tells her, his eyes glittering as he looked up at her. With all playfulness and aggression aside, the tom pressed himself closer to the she cat. "I really would like for you to know how much I appreciate you for sticking beside me...even if I could be a hardheaded tom," He sighed, and turned to look away. She had certainly grown on him. More than he wished to admit. And a part of him enjoyed knowing that, yet another part of him feared the rejection, so, he kept his maw shut, and he pressed his nose into the crook of her neck, displaying his unspoken feelings and appreciation towards her.

It was more than she was letting on, and the tom felt the tip of his ears warm as he brought his muzzle up to look down at her. "Clover, I might sound delusional when I say this, and it might be the venom from the snake talking--but I think I like you...a lot." The ginger and white tom squinted his eyes just to make sure that he was assure of himself that what he said was true. He tilted his head at her just to prepare for her response. It was a two way street, and no matter what he must always remained stoic. Emtionless. In case he got hurt.

That was a good thing? He had come to love the boisterous, sweet mannered she cat that was his best friend. Though she were still his best friend, he now knew that she was much more than just his best friend. She was his mate. And, the tom knew it was his job to love her no matter who or what finds their relationship troubling. The tom offered a quick lick to the she cat's cheek before untangling himself from her. There was a growl in his stomach no doubt, and he was ready to score down a meal. "Want to get something to share?" He asked her, getting up to his paws, his limp seemingly invisible but still aches. Yet he refused to go to the medicine cat.
