He shut the door and climbs into the driver’s seat. He started the car and backed up. Waasi turned on the radio to low, humming slightly. “So, talk to me. What’s your favorite thing to do?”

“Playing my guitar, for sure.” Waasi laughed, glancing at Lily has he stopped at a red light. “My older sister taught me so I could, and I qoute, ‘so the girl in my math class will like me’. This was like, six years ago.”

Waasi laughed. “Maybe one day cupid will be kind and shoot someone for me.” Waasi paused, tilting his head. “Not literally. That’d be awful.” He unbuckled and got out of his car, dashing to Lily’s side and opening the door. “Welcome to the best smoothie place ever,” he squinted, “at least here.”
