He poked in the freshkill pile while listening to her half-heatedly, but frowned in slight surprise when he heard what she had to say. Battles by the border were everything but unusual, but they rarely lasted this long. "Provoking a fight or throwing the first blow is fine if you win, but I can't recall the last time a fight took this long, cats don't usually stay away over night just for a one-on-one battle, surely you would have gotten back in time to sleep a little." She didn't exactly seem.. the most refreshed at the moment.

Sparksong looked down at the frog. Her ears laying flat against her head.

“After the fight ended I stayed out last night.
It was already late, and I didn’t want to disturb anyone back at camp.” that was part of the truth at least. The real reason she didn’t come back was because she was partially scared that her clan mates would find out about her little border fight
