Neverpaw smiled at Blackpaw, shoving his pounding heart aside ash he drew back to make the final blow.

"Looks like the kit is gonna get his revenge," Darkfang chuckled. "I killed your family, and now he's going to kill me." His grin faded as he took in Neverpaw's expression.

Neverpaw's eyes held a dark, horrible rage as he stared down at Darkfang. He growled lowly, flexing his claws onto Darkfang's throat.

His ears perked up as he heard a cat shouting a name, his head turning in time to see that apprentice that he had escorted into the Windclan territory a few weeks ago, Hannibal's eyes narrowing as he merely side-stepped as Northpath threw himself at him, avoiding the swiping claws on the medicine cat apprentice. He's reckless because he's worried about this blind cat's life. Oh yes, I suppose this is his trainer or rather as these clan cat's call it, his mentor.

Something clicked in the dark cat's mind and an empty smile crossed his lips, he was going to kill this young cat, he had reasoning, this cat was attacking him. No cat attacked Hannibal and lived to tell the tale. As soon as Northpath landed, whether gracefully or not, the Dusk Syndicate tom would lurch forward to swipe a single paw at Northpath's side, his other paws light and ready to carry him back after either missing or making the shot, ready to dance right out of the way of whatever this cat's next attack might be.

The younger tom narrowed his orbs as he realized that they were going to get into a fight. He would usually be fearful and maybe even try to reason with Hannibal. But he saw the cold gleam in the other cat's gaze and the evil sneer as well. Plus, Northpath's blood was already pumping and he found that the adrenaline of protecting his mentor was guiding him during the fight. He had to admit that the acceleration was exciting and he could see why warriors enjoy their path in life, but he still wasn't one for fighting, and although it was exciting he wasn't really looking forward to a battle with Hannibal.

He had to admit that Hannibal was fast as he quickly leaped forward to claw at North, raking his claws against the younger's side. Instead of diving back towards his attack, the tabby seemed to step back, wincing at the sudden pain. He'd never been in any kind of physical fight before so he had never felt the pain of in either. Northpath watched as his opponent leap back and out of reach. He realized that this guy was an experienced fighting. He was quick on his feet and quick with his attacks as well.

Northpath decided that he should probably start attacking as well. Of course, leaping forward and going on the offense could then expose him and give him little time to recover during a counter-attack on Hannibal's part. But he couldn't block any of the Syndicate fighter's attacks and hoped that he might be able to injure him just a bit... even if that was against what he believed in. The dark tabby launched himself forward and outstretched his claws towards Hannibal in an attempt to injure him and make him slower during their fights. But his own wound was also slowing him down, which was a terrible combination with the little fighting knowledge he had.

(it's fine if Hannibal dodges all North's attacks since he's not a great fighter X3)

DapplePelt picked the kit up by the scruff of the neck and carried her to the edge of the clearing, there was less fighting there. "Stay here," she meowed at the kit, "I'm going to stay with you,"

"You..." Neverpaw snarled. "Dirty. No. Good. Lying. TRAITOR!" He shouted, plunging his claws into Darkfang's throat without hesitation.

Twilightkit nodded and glanced around for Leafkit, where is he she thought
