Cloversun lay down in the clearing and gazed about, happy to see her clan in harmony. The freshkill pile was well stoked, but her belly was near empty. She wondered whether the elders and queens had been fed yet.

^ Poppy’Tail hummed, nodding absent-mindedly and continuing to lick a few more matts out of the apprentices fur. Hm, did they ever wash themselves? Ugh, so messy! Poppy’Tail shivered, thinking back on the cats who would waltz through camp with mud in their fur and thorns in their pelt; disgusting..! Hopefully Aspen’Paw actually cared for his appearance, Poppy’Tail was surprised that not many other cats did.

“You groom daily, yes? You care for your pelt?”

Poppy’Tail asked in a snippy tone, as if her tongue could slice of hairs from the apprentices pelt. The black she-cat, of course, didn’t mean to be oh so ‘snappy’ or ‘disrespectful’ but how else would she be able to tell if her fellow clanmates were self-respecting or not? A true cat who actually had some self-worth would obviously keep their pelt tidy, and who did that better then Poppy’Tail? No one, that’s who! ^

“Of Course I do.” The tabby exclaimed. He certainly didn't get up as early as he did for his health. Mornings were the only time he had to make himself look completely presentable. His training took up the majority of his day, and his evenings were closed due to his dusklight ventures. So he usually got up before sunrise to groom himself and get breakfast.

“I’m certainly not walking around like some of these cats.” He said, signalling to some warriors' messy fur. He wasn't exactly sure why Poppytail was focusing on his pelt specifically, when those cats could use more help.

^ Poppy'Tail nodded approvingly, glad that at least one cat shared her beliefs; ShadowClanners were strong, triumphant cats. Surely they should show that through their pelt? Poppy'Tail doesn't mind scars, if anything she quite likes them, but surely cats who win their battles should then have the time to rest and actually bathe, instead of having fur that stuck up and was lined with mud and dirt, and on rare occasions.. blood.

"Good. Our other clanmates need to learn how to bathe."

She spat, sending a few cold glares to the dusty cats milling around camp. How come they had nothing better to do? Ugh, they littered the camp with residue that Poppy'Tail would really rather not contract to her sleek, shiny black pelt. Nipping the last few matts out of Aspen'Paws pelt, Poppy'Tail leaned down to her own tail and started grooming it; She wanted to keep it looking as red as a berry, shining and clean.

"Any self-respecting cat should keep their fur tidy, at least." ^

oh?? windclan in shadowclan territory?? goldenfall gazed up at their leader from their perch in a tree off the side of the camp clearing, it's ears perked up with interest.

fufufu, this would be... an interesting fight. their heart beat with excitement at the images bursting through its mind of the screeches, claws, blood that would surely ensue. ah, if only they could take part. but alas, they would enjoy hearing about windclan's defeat just as well. it sighed, tail tip flicking, before they groomed a massive golden paw and drew it over their whiskers.
