“That’s great news! Rabbitpaw is such is such a sweet cat! I’m glad to hear she’s been accepted into the clan! Are you sure you can keep up with two apprentices?” Lavendersnap smiled. He must be a good mentor if Twilightstar had given him two apprentices. She hadn’t trained one apprentice in her life time, but she had heard that it was difficult. It wasn’t exactly a leap of the imagination as to why that must be. Apprentices we’re young and full of energy. Warriors were older and well not as energetic. Not to mention how hard it must be to teach. Sunshade seemed like an energetic cat, however. Surely his energy matched that of an apprentice.

Somehow the way Sunshade had said that made her feel as though it wasn’t fine. She raised an eyebrow and flicked his ears with her tail, playfully scolding him. Young cats are always over working themselves!

Sunshade pouted. He would do just fine! He was childish, playful, laid back, yes, but he was also a tactical genius! Needleclaw didn't almost literally claw his fur off teaching him that for nothing! Surely it would be fine! But... Lavendersnap was also right. He'd stretch himself thin with two apprentices... Yeah, he probably should ask for help... but only sometimes!

Sunshade seemed to deflate at her words. Oh my! That’s not what I wanted! This is why I shouldn’t give advice. She gave him and affection nuzzle to try and cheer him up again.

“It’s not that you can’t. It’s that you don’t have to. Anyways on to brighter topics! How has Rabbitpaw been fitting in?” She was curious about the young molly. Rabbitpaw hadn’t come to see her since they’d rebuilt the den together. Lavendersnap hoped she was doing well. She knew transitions could be tough, especially on young cats.

Sunshade nodded in agreement, proud of his two apprentices."Yeah! And I'll make sure they become great warriors!" He promised. And he would! He would make sure they became warriors, and he would be the first to cheer their names. He was certain!
