WindClan: Life Before 2023's Fire

Mouse’claw exited the warriors den, stretching with a yawn, he had slept for most of the day so far and had just woken up, hoping to get some hunting done today. Maybe he could go near the Shadowclan border, he knew the place was still a bit dangerous since Shadowclan took their land but a high risk has got to be worth a high reward right?

Raypaw smiled as she lifted her head and calmed down. He was glad she was here now, in Windclan. He couldn't imagine what it was like to leave everything he'd ever known and come to a totally new place where he didn't know anyone. He hoped Tigerpaw would start to feel comfortable here. And maybe one day find her family. She meowed a thanks to him and he nodded his head in acknowledgement.

Then she randomly changed the subject, saying she knew how to disguise her scent with leaves? That sounded pretty cool and useful if they were to ever do a sneak attack. Tigerpaw bolted up and ran out of the nest, meowing a farewell to Raypaw as she left. Where was she going? He sighed and put his head on his paws. There went his only social interaction. Well, he guessed he could get started on his daily apprentice chores. Maybe a quick rest first.

Raypaw had just finished speaking when something collided with him. He stumbled forward and turned to see Tigerpaw. She was the one who had collided with him and was looking a bit distracted. "Oh hey Tigerpaw! Want to go out into the forest with me and Ashblaze?" Without waiting for an answer, he turned towards Ashblaze. "Is it okay if she comes?" It would be so much fun to go out into the territory together. Maybe they would even get to fight something, like a stinky Shadowclan cat!

Tigerpaw almost fell over. She stared up. It was Raypaw. She found it hard to not blush when he was around. Looks like I have found my soulmate. Tigerpaw thought. She looked at Raypaw with udder shock when he asked if she wanted to join him and Ashblaze in the forest. "Of course, I want to come with!" She mewed happily.

The scent of the rabbit that Wind Mama had been eating caused Meadowkit's stomach to rumble, but she quickly pushed her hunger aside. Wind Mama had agreed to play with her, now was not the time for her stomach to be yelling at her because it wanted food. Stomach could get food later. Now only remained the question of what to play with Wind Mama.

"Uhm, can we play mossball? And you can help me get better? You're Wind Mama so you must be the best at playing mossball in the Clan! The other kits don't want to play with me because they say I'm not good at it." What Medowkit really meant when she said she was bad at it was that whenever the other kits hit the mossball out of her vision and into her blind side she completely lost track of it. The small she-kit could never directly hit it back whenever it went to her left because she was blind in that eye and ended up having to chase it down. Apparently the other kits felt that it took too long and that it wasn't fun when they played with her.

At Ashblaze's words Raypaw swished his golden tail excitedly. He was excited to go out into the territory more, he hadn't really done enough exploring. Most of his training so far had been battle training, so didn't have a lot of territory and hunting experience. Well today was a perfect opportunity! He stood up and started to head towards the camp entrance. Waving his tail and the other two, he beckoned them to come with him. "Great, then let's go!" He said excitedly, not wanting to waste another second. Hopefully they could bring back some prey for the Clan, they had been low recently.
