Her suicidal thought almost overwhelmed her, before being subsided. Then, she thought logically. Over and over, on and on. As well as the beauty of the ocean, Wavesplash had seen its power. Once a cat was out there, it was almost impossible to get back to shore. Even though it was her namesake, Wavesplash didn't dare swim in the ocean. She knew it would kill her. Sometimes she wanted to, but Wavesplash never gave to the suicidal thoughts in her mind. She sometimes wished she had some cat to share it with. A friend. But Wavesplash never had any friends. The loneliness and depression had taken hold of her at a young age. The other apprentices had avoided her because she was "different". But her one dream was to become deputy, and maybe leader. She knew it was far-fetched, but if she tried, it could happen.

Skittish paws danced lightly over smooth pebbles and soft sand. The sound and salty scent of the rough waves filled Blitzenrain's mind with happiness. The beach was the brown and white patches she-cat's favorite place to be. Oftentimes, she wouldn't just sit looking out over the endless horizon. It was one of the few places she actually felt...normal.
Blitzenrain's thoughts were interrupted by a sense of another presence. Her intense pale grey eyes scouted along the shore and she saw Wavesplash. Standing up, she crossed the space between them and settled a close yet not uncomfortable distance away from her. Still looking over the calming tide, Blitzenrain greeted the fellow she.
"Hello, Wavesplash."

Re: WindClan Nursery
The almost three moon old kit sat at the exit, staring off into the distance. Her orange tail flickered as she watched the sky move. "I want to be a warrior, too, like every other kit," she whispered to no cat in particular. "Because then I can leave." Eclipsekit had never felt happy in her home, always longing for the trees that birthed those sharp, crackling leaves and the soft green ones too, like the ones a medicine cat would collect. She had decided that ThunderClan would more likely take an apprentice or warrior then a kit, so no point in running away now. (OPEN!!!)

At first, he wasn't completely convinced he was doing it right, but his confidence grew with each stride. He finally caught a glance if his prey- a real rabbit.
The rabbit dashed away, and Almondpaw chased it around for a few fox-lengths until the ravbit grew tired. The rabbit turned sharply, and Almondpaw was face-to-face with a bush.
Crash!

Spottedheart's heart raced. Her first apprentice, already chasing down a rabbit. She watched sharply. Her heart dropped as she saw what was in front of him. As Almondpaw padded back, she snapped. "How could you have not seen that?!" Taking a deep breath, she continued. "You need to watch for your surroundings as well as your prey, and think AHEAD of the prey. If there so happens to be a squirrel"--somehow--"and there's a tree nearby, block the tree! Also, don't get SO close to the prey, wait until you're positive there's nothing besides moorland, THEN run as fast as you can and catch up to it!"

He wanted to prove that he was old enough and mature enough to be an apprentice, because to him, it didn't matter exactly, since he was quite tall, he was nearly the same height as any average sized apprentice. He rubbed against her legs and nodding, then he darted out, only to rush in moments later, his jaw hanging open in shock and a vole that he'd grabbed from the fresh-kill pile while he was out there fell to the ground. “The sky! Water is falling from the sky!” he said in a quiet but panicked way, running in circles. He stopped to shake his pelt, and a few droplets of water spattered all around him. He looked up at his mother, waiting to see how she would react. Skeletonkit was fairly sure that StarClan was angry.
|
Spottedheart gasped and ran back in the Nursery, a worried expression on her face, only to find out that her dear Skeletonkit was fearfully shaking his pelt off, the smallest of droplets releasing their grasp from his pelt. She began to chuckle slightly, "Oh, my dear. That's rain. You should be grateful. We haven't had much rain.", looking at the vole that had fallen onto the ground. "..but I suggest you give that piece of fresh-kill to the elders, or someone else besides yourself." Giving him a small nudge on the shoulder, she leaned in to whisper into his ear, at a tone so soft, no one else could hear but her son. "If you think of others before yourself, it shall make you a worthy deputy, even leader, if you truly want it."

"I hear ShadowClan got rid of their medicine cat...and ThunderClan has a new leader and deputy...great StarClan if they're not committed to their roles and are replaced just like that," she slammed a paw on the ground and snapped a twig in half "then imagine what an attack would do...Riverclan, WindClan and SkyClan are the strongest...but of course WindClan is defineatly at the top, followed by Riverclan then SkyClan at the end"

Re: WindClan Breezerock
As the cats slowly gathered around at the base of the rock, Blazingstar patiently waited. He noted that the cats he needed to discuss were already there and that made things easier. He assumed Dusk wouldn't move far from the warriors den or if he did, Blazingstar would wait while the loner made his way over. With that, the Ginger leader continued on with his announcements. "I have a ceremony to do today and five cats that are willing to join the clan today," he started, giving each cat a glance over to ensure they were ready.
"As you know, Dapplestar had a good range of deputies and each one seemed to disappear. However, Dapplestars former deputy, Infernosky," he gestured towards the she-cat and her companions. "has come home and wants to rejoin the clan. She has brought two companions with her. I'll take her word for it, that they will make fine warriors," Blazingstar paused, gesturing the trio forwards. "Jitterbug, Russell, and Infernosky," he began, his voice loud and clear as his gaze turned very serious. "Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and provide for your clan even at the cost of your lives?"
Assuming they said 'I do' he continued
He raised his head to the sky. "then by Starclans will, I give you your new names. You will be known as Jitterpaw and Russellfur!" he looked back down on them, a welcoming warmth in his gaze. "welcome to the clan. And welcome back Infernosky. I trust you will show them our ways," he dipped his head a little before looking in Forest's direction.
This she-cat had a past Blazingstar was still unaware of. From all his knew, she was a friendlier Dusk Syndicate cat willing to join the clan and learn their ways. He'd trust her in this mannor. "Forest has left the Dusk Syndicate to come learn the ways of the clan," he spoke, gesturing to the young feline. "So from this day on until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Forestpaw! We welcome you to the clan as an apprentice and Sleepingcloud will be your mentor! I hope he passes all he knows down to you," he spoke before turning to Dusk.
Now this feline had a past the ginger leader just found out about. They were connected in a way no one would understand. As he looked at his former friend, he gave him a grin. "We have another former warrior joining us today. Dusk, please step forwards," he paused. "do you, Dusk, promise to uphold the warrior code and provide for your clan even at the cost of your life?"
Once again, assuming Dusk said 'I do', the leader continued.
Once ore, his head was lifted to the skies. "then by the powers of Starclan I give you your warrior name. From this day on you will be known as Duskflight!" Blazingstar looked at his old friend again. "Welcome back, Duskflight"
Now it was Rabbitkits turn. After welcoming the cats into the clan, it was time for their own clan mate to have their ceremony. "And finally we have a kit who's ready to become an apprentice," he gestured Rabbitkit forward. "Rabbitkit, you have reached the age of six moons and are ready to begin training to be a warrior!" He began, his golden hues shining. "From this day on until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Rabbitpaw! Nightfall, you are ready to take on an apprentice, you will mentor Rabbitpaw. I hope you teach all you know to the new apprentice," he dipped his head a little before jumping off the Breezerock to join his clan mates in the welcoming and congratulations. Thus ending the meeting.

"Do you know why Blazingstar hasn't given you a mentor? I'm sure a warrior would be happy to mentor you until you become a warrior.." Meadowsong said, slightly to herself as well as to Rushpaw.

"No, I don't know why Blazingstar hasn't assigned me a mentor.... Maybe it's because.... Maybe it's... Maybe it's because... I'm not Clan-born... I have loner, rogue, and kittypet blood....", Rushpaw mewed, staring at his paws. Normally, if the ginger apprentice told anyone that, they would mock him and bully him just because he wasn't Clan-born.

It was going to be all her fault. What was Larkkit's mother going to say? What was she supposed to tell Blazingstar, since she was sure Sagewhisker would be bringing this up? What was she supposed to do with herself, if her friend were to get hurt or worse, die? There had to be something she could do. Do not scream. That was the only thing that she had to remember as she slowly crept through the grass, praying to StarClan that the twoleg kept the dog on it's rope. Swallowing nervously, her expression changed as she realized that just as long as the dog stayed on the rope, there was no way it could reach Larkkit. Her friend just needed to stay still and hope that the twoleg didn't notice her either. Some twolegs were nice, she had heard from former kittypets... or cats of kittypet blood... but some were harsh and mean, hurting cats. Perhaps this twoleg would be one of the nice ones if they did see her or Larkkit. "Larkkit," She whispered to get the small cat's attention. Okay. Now they needed to get out of here. "When the twoleg isn't looking in your direction, come towards the sound of my voice, okay? This is very important. We have to get out of here." Why had she thought this was a good idea? It had been stupid. And now her friend or her might end up paying for a mistake she had made.
|
Larkkit almost didn't hear her friend coming towards her, let alone Heartpaw speaking to her. What was she supposed to do? She couldn't remember now! The creatures before her were terrifying and she could only picture what could happen. Would she really die to these things? It was a high chance considering they kept closing the distance between them. Oh, how did she let this happen? This could've been avoided if she didn't beg Heartpaw to bring her out into the territory. Oh, her mother would have a fit and perhaps Blazingstar too. The tiny she-cat didn't know of her relationship with Blazingstar, but he was the leader. She was probably going to be held back from apprenticeship! More and more thoughts raced through her mind as she stood there. She was too young. She couldn't force herself to do anything but sit there and whimper. Larkkit felt helpless and even murmured her mothers name between whimpers. She did happen to notice Heartpaw in the corner of her eyes, but she was too frightened to look in her friends direction because at any moment she could be taken away or eaten up.
