Thornpaw's eye lit up."Thornpaw" she told Curseface."When do we start?" she asked the tom. Will it be now or next time I visit? She needed to tell him what she already knew. She was great at following verbal instructions but not so much as visual demonstrations. She would have to tell her Dark forest mentor that as well. She remembered hunting. She had never hunted before but she caught a vole, mouse and starling. All she did was follow instructions. She looked hopefully at her her new mentor, hoping he would ask about what she knows.

"How old is she? How much does she know? Then maybe we knows where to start..." Curseface eyed the tabby apprentice curiously. "Younger apprentices need more training; yes, they does. Fishing especially! Juicy, slippery fishes..." he snickered, remembering the water dwelling creatures fondly.

"I'm 7 moons and I know a few things. I know how to leap onto my opponent and hold on while raking my hind legs on their flank" she answered Curseface's questions that seemed directed at himself. She flinched in disgust at the thought of Fish. "I'm good at hunting but I want to get better at fighting. I've never had a hunting lesson but I caught some prey because I followed verbal instructions a warrior told me once" she explained to her new mentor. She hoped he would take the hint that she was good with verbal instructions and not demonstrations.
