She felt odd instructing a cat she saw as a fellow warrior, especially since she was still a little new to the whole warrior experience, but she remained calm and focused, squinting her eyes as the sun glared down among the clan-cats angrily.
" Anything you need in particular? Or just basic training?
Heather'Tail asked, letting her fur ruffle in the wind and he tail sway gently. ||

Fernpaw wasn't sure what he expected from Fallownose, but the dismissal of the formality was striking. Lifting, almost - like some uncertainty about how this talk would go was alleviated. Feeling lighter than he had, a small, breezy laugh escaped him. "Yes, Just Fallownose." Eldersky might be rubbing off on him just a bit - the urge to poke fun at Fallownose's wording was too strong! ".. sorry." He didn't mean to be rude. Was that rude? He hoped it was okay.
Anyway..
"I've been thinking.. you know, the Clan hasn't done much on a larger scale, training wise. We do a lot of hunting and border patrols out of necessity. And.. our Clan hasn't been in the best position to go up against ShadowClan." The words were sour on his tongue. A bitter reminder. "So.. have you considered, issuing battle practice patrols alongside them? I don't know if Twilightstar's tried it before, but it might help keep cats on their toes."

Hah, Laurelkit was cute. Fernpaw gave her a smile. "There's nothing wrong with attending meetings, unless it's raining and cold out. You two need to stay inside where you'll be safe." Meetings were important, and going was good for the kids. Which is why Fernpaw beckoned her to join them beneath the overhang while Twilightstar continued.
And he grimaced at the news of Sky Glade. He understood why. He very well knew the Clan deserved to be in high spirits at the news. He just..
Did not want to think about it, at least in front of the kids. Noting it was warriors only, he couldn't help but hope the patrol would be uneventful. He didn't want to see anyone else hurt over this. Infinitely, he appreciated Twilightstar's decision to not take volunteers - he knew at least one cat who'd jump on it without hesitation. (BRAVEBIRD.)
As it was dismissed, he let out a sigh and turned his attention back to the duo. "Alright you two, let's head back to the nest."
