And the young tom got even more worried when Albatrosskit hissed at her quickly the pale brown and white kit brushed his side with his tail and obediently got out of the hole looking anxious.

"B-but w-we're m-making a...a...a d-den..." he stuttered scared would they get in trouble? What did they do wrong?! Gosh he felt terrible!

Panic rising in his chest, Vulturefang barreled his way to the nursery. Oh god... Hopefully nothing happened to her while he was away. Eyes flashing with more anxiety, the massive tom stopped short at the entrance and inhaled. What would he do, if for some reason, Woollyfeather didn't survive the kitting? The fate of the kits weren't really the highest thing on his mind, instead the thoughts of how he would feel if Woolly had died. Would he be sad? He didn't know... But he sure as hell wasn't ready for her to leave. At this moment in time, he wanted to spend all the time in the world with her. He felt a pure happiness and satisfaction whenever his half ruined gaze landed on her. Maybe these feelings would wash away in due time, but right now he didn't want her to leave... Not yet.

Finally growing a spine, he pushed into the den and glanced around. Gaze immediately finding his lover, he almost stumbled in relief as his fears blanked away. Seeing that Woollyfeather looked alive and well, he hurried to her side. "Don't worry wags, I'm right here." forcing the words out with a few shaky breaths, Vulturefang tipped his head down in a attempt to push his scarred muzzle against her soft curly fur. Breathing in a deeply, he then felt his eyes shift to the wriggling creatures below. The kits... THEIR kits.
Wow... Okay... Well, he still had a bit of trouble wrapping his mind around the matter, but he was coming to terms with it. Squinting at the bundles of fluff, he patted the biggest (and fatest) one on the rump. The little creature had his dark grey pelt, but portrayed odd white markings. This one wasn't the worst looking, he'd probably be as handsome as him when he grew up. Anyway, some of the others looked like Woolly herself, and he would've forced himself to care when something... Peculiar, caught his eye. A kit lay in between the mollies front paws, and taking a closer look... He realized the little tom wasn't breathing. Stomach dropping, he stared blankly at the passed away kit. His throat ran dry as a little trickle of sorrow escaped his cracking his heart. Looking to Woollyfeather, he once more moved himself by her side. Laying down, he let his large form wrap around the she while he rested his large head on her shoulders. Not matter the loss, at least she wasn't here to suffer alone.

And from that moment on, he silently promised that no matter if his feelings for her went stale, no matter if he eventually felt nothing for her, he'd help her raise their kids. He wouldn't back away, this was his responsibility as much as it was hers. And he didn't plan on letting it go.

Harekit brightened up at Ruepaw's offer that sounded nice! And he didn't mind the nicknames but Albatrosskit seemed still a little hesitant oh! Did he want to know what Harekit thought well he thought it was a good idea "O-Ok!" he squeaked sweetly his big amber eyes sparkling with joy.
